Show what ya got - Ozark - Nov 13, 2024 For @Lillia, though any can pop in!
Winter was coming and so came strangers. Ozark got it. After all, it wasn't like this was her first rodeo and Ozark and her sister Annie had made an effort to leave their own home during winter, just for the sake of saying that they could, would and had.
Now, the guardian strode around the territory with a newfound busyness. She had to keep her eye on the newcomers, of course. Alas, it was by their leader's grace which these new members were accepted, yet trust was something gathered only with time. The most of them, she guessed, would leave once the lands began to thaw. Which was fine by her, really, so long as they earned their keep while they were here and didn't plan on using the pack for a good rest and to grab as much supplies they could to steal away with it all in the night. Ozark would catch sight of the phase grey wolf first in the gloom of the dreary afternoon. "Oi, newbie! Care fer a tussle?" If the other one was near, Ozark didn't take to noticing, for her attention was on Lillia and she didn't offer much room for her to object, either. Already she was barreling towards her, head low and tail high. RE: Show what ya got - Lillia - Nov 14, 2024 Lillia had been acquainting herself with the territory when it happened. She'd yet to even meet another pack mate - too wrapped up in exploration and antisociality both to go out of her way to do so. She'd barely left her partner's side since they'd joined, and today was the first day she felt comfortable enough to wander. This was a mistake, of course. She hardly registered what the other woman said before the stranger charged like a raging bull, head low and body poised for a takedown. Lillia moved, but was unprepared, and got clipped in the side enough to roll, golden eyes round with surprise. "Hey!" she barked, brows furrowing as she took on a defensive position, preparing herself for the stranger to attack again. "This is playing, right? We're play fighting right now?" She needed clarification, because that would determine how she handled this situation entirely. Either way, what a way to welcome a new pack mate. RE: Show what ya got - Viorel - Nov 15, 2024 Vi can be skipped unless interacted with, he's just here to observe!
[dohtml] New faces were beginning to fill the den right on schedule as they had in previous years. Winters drove even the most independent loners seeking out pack life - even if it was only temporary until the weather improved. The leader had once had the notion that this was unacceptable, but had grown to realize it was the way of life and it benefited everyone as long as the newcomers pulled their weight. More mouths to feed, but more paws in the hunt and patrolling the borders and guarding the caches against desperate scavengers. He was choosing to allow them to settle in on their own, Magg of course hovering over her ill child and the twin, but three others joining their ranks at Eros’ discretion. These three he had seen from afar but yet to introduce himself in depth to, other than the initial conversation that had immediately following Eros accepting them , waiting for a moment when they might be alone and not entirely overwhelmed. Today he had spotted one of the females - medium in size, fur a mix between black, grey and silver - not unlike his own, but with a distinct scar on her face. He would have called out in greeting but Ozark beat him to it. A grin grew across his muzzle as he settled down a few feet out of the way - not wanting to catch any strays - but happy to enjoy the show. If his cousin were to look in his direction he would offer her an encouraging wink, time to show off what the Backwater wolves can do. [/dohtml] RE: Show what ya got - Torianna - Nov 17, 2024 Tori can be skipped unless interacted with, and is just here to root on her fav
[dohtml] Torianna had developed something of a hero worship for the pirate and the way she worked. She was direct, and gave Tori a real challenge that many in the pack failed to comprehend or ever hope to match. There was much to learn, and so her morbid fascination for conquest manifested in watching the woman carefully, pestering her for advice, and the likes. That meant she was on her heels when Ozark decided to tussle with the newest recruits. A wicked grin formed on her features as she watched the beginning stages unfold. She’d heard about them – the quiet one was a mother who had lost her daughter, and Lillia was… something. She chose to settle next to Viorel, an eager but hushed abated breath escaping her. “Ozark’s definitely about to kick her ass.” She, at the very least, had the tact to keep her tone as quiet as possible when speaking to her uncle. Still, her claws began to scratch against the ground as she eagerly watched. Ozark was nothing short of amazing. RE: Show what ya got - Sophrosnia - Nov 17, 2024 [dohtml] Don't you dare look out your window, darling, everything's on fire[/dohtml] RE: Show what ya got - Ozark - Nov 23, 2024 Others had filtered in by now - Lillia's traveling partner, Ozark's own little shadow (or more like ghost, given her coat and all) and even one of their leader's themselves. Ozark's orange eyes shifted, seeing them form along the sidelines, yet the majority og her focus, of course, laid on her newly made opponent. She had learned her lesson long ago not to take her eyes of the prize. Honestly it was no wonder she wasn't more scarred up herself.
"Aye, o' course!" Ozark barked, loud and proud as she jumped back, giving the woman a bit of space after being barreled into. " Why? Afeared o' a wee scratch?" She jest but, probably ratherly rudely for the newbie. Of course, Ozark didn't expect either of them to try to intentionally blind another or snap their leg, but shit happen. Ozark didn't want her to hold back much other then anything life hindering. She wanted to see what their latest member was made of, after all. Again, Ozark charges. This time with a clanking of her jaws in warning. She comes in low, turning her head just so in order snatch the woman's right ankle. She would aim to pull it forward with a jerk of her head if successful, all the while slamming her right shoulder into the woman so that she could be pulled and pushed down onto her side. There is a fight move like this but I can't think of the name or find a video to save my life!
