to let me live again - Amadeu - Nov 20, 2024 Near PF borders, but not trespassing. Potential join.
Xulia had told them all of the Lore, of its sprawling wilderness and mountains in the distance, but Ama had yet to find the swamps where the other Valles resided. It wasn't that that was his end goal, but it would be nice to find other family members out here somewhere - even if they might not be the happiest with his mother ghosting them years ago. Just like he was doing to her now, he supposed. Ama had felt guilty at first. He still did, he supposed, but the emotion was less intense and more distant with miles between himself and his family. But as Xulia had welcomed another litter into the world, and Amadeu's responsibility had grown once more, he'd begun to feel stifled under the weight of it all. He loved them - really he did. It was just... well... It was too much. Would he regret it? It was possible. He doubted Xulia would welcome him back with open arms if he ever decided to return, though he supposed his younger siblings would be happy. Of course they would, when he'd been a constant presence for them for so long now. But they weren't his pups, much as it occasionally felt that way. He'd wandered a bit closer to a pack's borders than he initially intended, but he still gave it a wide enough berth. Better cautious than mauled, he figured, sniffing curiously around the area. This couldn't be the Backwater, he knew, but would it really be so bad to find somewhere to spend the winter? The air was cool and nipped at his nose as he breathed, and it would be difficult to survive on his own. Not impossible, he knew, but not ideal, either, and Ama had always preferred company over solitude. |
