like I do, like me - Hera - Jan 28, 2025 AW to any members of DEB! RE: Hera, a hungry coyote is stalking you in hopes of a free meal.
Sunrise, overcast, 34F/1C [dohtml] if karma's real, hope it's your turn It had only been a day since Eros had been rushed home and deposited into the infirmary for tender loving care - or something. Exhaustion was kind of a vague concept to the blonde child who just thought that meant you were really tired. Surely that meant he just needed a long nap and then everything would be back to normal. Instead she had awoken to an announcement that father would be leading alone for the foreseeable future and that had been confusing. Plus she was basically grounded again and this time she had not even done anything wrong but it was to just “keep her safe”. Soon she would be a year old, they couldn’t keep treating her like a child forever just because Kalysta, Atlas, and Ally seemed to be constantly getting lost! So lost in her own self pity, Hera had no idea that she had company stalking behind her. Maybe it had been hoping that she would lead it to a cache, but it had long grown bored and impatient and turned its attention to the cub itself. Normally a coyote wouldn’t attack a wolf in pack lands, but it was desperate, and hungry. And getting closer every second. RE: like I do, like me - Asmund - Jan 29, 2025 Asmund was livid. The shifting in ranks had pushed him back down into obscurity, and left Viorel alone yet again. All over again it was proven that the patriarch was the only constant to exist, and yet how much longer could even he stand against the erosion? All because Eros couldn't simply get his shit together. The stalking wolf was almost happy to catch scent of the scavenger, a target he could take alone and subject to his frustrations without restraint. Then he recognized Hera's proximity as well, and any pleasure he might have found in the situation soured completely. Of course! Why not! A dead pup to top off the month! Asmund kicked into overdrive, now flying after the smaller canine's trail. He wouldn't bother with warning the girl; his focus was solely on colliding with, and hopefully gutting, the coyote as swiftly as possible. Its pale coat appeared ahead, and his jaws parted, fangs readied. |
