The Sacredness of it All... - Hotei - Jul 12, 2012

Oh crap.. I just realized I posted as Hotei. Ignore this and continue to Narimé's post. XD
Update: Since no one else is posting I might as well have some fun with my two characters.

[dohtml]

Hotei remembered these woods. He remembered them well, but he
refused to think about past memories. That would do no good for him. It
would only torture him of the fact that he had no family left. Least he thought
no one was left. Just enjoy the scenery... Hotei told himself this.
A squirrel ran right in front of him. The stupid thing. It was so close he couldn't
help but try to go after it. He chased it to a big tree and just as it was climbing up
the trunk the black wolf used his strong hind legs to power himself up the
tree trunk after it. His jaws closed on the squirrels long tail and as gravity pulled
him down the squirrel came with him. He hit the ground and immediately used his claws
to pin the animal, though he hadn't meant to break its back in the process.

Well a meals a meal I guess, tbut it's kinda tiny. He dipped his head laying
his body down next to the tree and began dhewing on the small creature. The musky
flavor penetrated his throat and although the blood tasted good the creature itself
was stringy and had too much fur.
This was a terrible meal. I am NEVER going after another squirrel again...
He sighed and listened to the rest of the groves inhabitants. The birds had resumed
their singing after his hunt finished and now even the squirrels were starting to chitter
again high up in their treetop territories.

The black wolf sat there for a long while just resting and listening to
those beautiful free birds. He closed his eyes and imagined following one who
was flying through the emerald green trees and thick brown vines.
Until a scent floated along the breeze he did not open his yellow eyes.
Seems I won't be alone for too long... He opened his eyes for a second
and then turned to look in the direction that the female should be coming from.
Hotei was not afraid of a female attacking him. No, he was more afraid of her
being afraid of him because of his grotesque figure.

The Sacredness of it All... - Narimé - Jul 12, 2012

[dohtml]

Really why is it I find myself so far away from my own family's
territory so often? As much as I do want to look for da I'm gonna
get into serious trouble one of these days...
Narimé scolded herself
for wandering so far away from Drooping Willows. This was her third
time venturing so far out away from her own territory. She hoped that as
long as Elettra and Koda kept seeing her bring back food for the caches
on these trips that they wouldn't yell at her for being gone so long.
She was also lucky to even be able to catch food on her search forays.

Even so Narimé was happy to get out and explore. Maybe all youngsters
were like that. She didn't know. I just hope I don't run into anyone who's angry.
I don't want to get into any trouble when I'm out here cause then Elettra really will
be pissed at me.
She shivered at the thought of havving Elettra looking at bite wounds
and scolding her with new bite marks around her muzzle.
Nah, I don't think she would be that rough... Though I have never seen her
angry before so...
The yearling's thoughts trailed off as she padded by an enormous
tree. Its proud stature made the young wolf cowar and stare at it in awe.
The tree's trunk was at least two of her body lengths wide. Then she gazed upwards and
watched the treetop almost disappear into the rest of the lower tree branches of shorter trees.

With her jaw still wide open she continued to pad along, though slower
now, and view the scenery around her. She felt very peaceful here as the rest of the
thoughts and worries just melted away at the sight of this magnificent forest.
She felt apart of something much bigger than herself as she walked slowly among
the ancient tree's and foilage. She couldn't even hear the chatter of red, gray,
and flying squirrels as they searched for food and fought for territories around the trees.
Nor did she notice other annoyances like bird song or tree frog calls. All she heard, all she
felt, was the power of this forest. She didn't even notice any wolf
scent that was nearby. Including the scent marked area of a border. Though luckily for
her the path she was taking was slowly bring her just around the border.

The Sacredness of it All... - Hotei - Jul 17, 2012

[dohtml]

Hotei continued to glance every few minutes in the direction the
female wolf was supposed to come from. She sure is taking her time
getting here.
He chukled to himself and then waited patiently again.
He wanted company right now. To keep the bad thoughts away, and he
often did not get to keep company for long. Wolves would either come and fight
him or be so nervous and wary of him that they would leave almost immediately
after. The ebony male longed for someone to talk to for just a little while at least.
He looked again and found that the female had come into view.

Just then, Hotei was all at once surprised to see such a cute young female out
and about on her own. The fact that she still hadn't noticed him enforced
his need to speak up and ask her why she wasn't with her family pack.
Hotei watched for a few more seconds from his resting spot on the warm ground
then stood up and softly barked at the female announcing his presence.
"Hello. Miss? Might I ask why you are out here all alone?" He sat back down
again his yellow eyes gazing curiously at the gray female.

Her form reminded him most of Ioni, his sister. Though this silvery female
lacked Ioni's leaner hourglass look she made up for that in sheer height. Tall
and wide shouldered. Hotei imagined her being quite the huntress, but her scent
betrayed her age. She was not an adult yet. Probably a well fed yearling. The black
Tainn wondered slightly just what pack she was apart of. Her smell had some
sort of pack scent but he couldn't identify it at all.

Wandering away from her territory was probably not a good idea quite yet. Many of the pack mates she had did not know of her yet, and it feared her highly to know that any wrong move could get her booted out of the pack. She had yet to properly meet the female alpha and she didn’t plan on it anytime soon. . .due to all the pups. She didn’t wish to seem threatening to the older female, but she didn’t wish to go unnoticed either. And it was there the reason that she was wondering out of her territory. She just needed a breather, away from everyone in the pack and away from drama.

It was then two scents filled her nostrils. One was highly familiar, along with a new one. Her ears pricked slightly and her paws moved faster towards the wolf she had formally met. Perhaps he would be in a better mood on this day. Her paws were soon moving forward at their own pace. . .which was a pretty fast one. She was eager to see the wolf she had met, not so long ago, and see how he had been. It seemed her trip was cut short when she collided into a black bundle of scarred fur. She yelled at the contact before looking into the handsome yellow eyes she had come to memorize when they had gone on their short hunt.

Her gray tail started to wag enthusiastically and she was soon panting she took in the other female. She felt bad for Burn for she knew he wasn’t one for much physical contact. Her jaws then opened and she apologized accordingly, “So sorry, Burn. I scented you and wanted to see you again!”

The Sacredness of it All... - Narimé - Jul 23, 2012

[dohtml]

Narimé felt a chill go up her spine when she heard
the voice of another wolf. But a few seconds later she
relaxed because the voice sounded oddly worried and
curious. With a quick movement she turned her body to face
the voice. All at once her nervousness returned, and the smile that
was on her face to greet the stranger turned to a wary serious one.
Her eyes gazed up and down the burn marks and scars that littered
the huge ebony males body. When her lavender eyes fell upon the
males comforting smile however she forced down her hackles.

"Why I'm out here alone? Hehe.. I guess I'm still curious
about Relic-Lores Landscape that I have yet to visit. You know?"
Maybe he would know about seeing new sites. She noted that
he didn't have a pack scent. So he must be a loner. The she wolf
had a hard time keeping her eyes off his scarred body. She forced herself
to keep looking at his awesome yellow eyes. Her own bluish ones a stark
difference compared to his yellow orbs.

Another scent filtered through the woodland smells. Another wolf
was going to join them. She looked forward to see another silvery gray
wolf like herself padding towards them.
Narimé listened to the other wolf when she stopped nearer to the male.
this she wolf seemed to know him. Their friendly demeaner further relaxed the
yearling as she stood in her solitary space.
"Burn? Is that your name sir?" She dipped her head in hello.
"My name is Narimé Lagina.." She greeted both wolves with a smile then
paused not knowing what else she should say.

The Sacredness of it All... - Hotei - Jul 25, 2012

[dohtml]

Hotei smiled invitingly at the little female who seemed quite unsettled
about his appearance. He was used to being thought of the wrong way by
wolves because they almost always judged him based on his gruff looks.
"Yeah I guess I know what you mean. I have traveled all over Relic-Lore
already though so I'm not too interested in seeing the sights anymore." He
wagged his tail trying to look more friendly. His bright smile and eyes echoes
of his kind heart. All he wanted to do was make sure she knew what she was doing
out here alone. Many wolves take advantage of sweet innocent loners.
"Don't worry I'm not threat to you!" He laughed happily and ducked his head
exposing his throat with a sidways glance at the female. He then heard a
disturbance in the brush. Pawsteps of a running wolf. His senses went up
and he tensed himself ready for a fight.

Hotei scented the newest female just before she accidentally ran
right into him. He jumped back and stood over her with a low growl
keeping his head held high in a dominating gesture to the possibly dangerous
wolf. But then she uttered a quick apology while righting herself. So he relaxed a bit.
Hotei relaxed even further even lowering his head when she looked up at him
with a bright smile and kind face. This was no dangerous wolf. Or at least
not a bad one. Then the green eyed gray she wolf
aid something that he thought was quite odd.

“So sorry, Burn. I scented you and wanted to see you again!”

"Uhh..Umm....Wait what? What did you call me?" He looked at her
like she had two heads and coked his head in curiosity. I'm pretty sure I have
never met this wolf. but then...
He scented her again up close and wondered why
her smell seemed so familiar. He knew it from somewhere...

"Burn? Is that your name sir?" The long legged silvery she wolf dipped her elegant head to Hotei and the other she wolf.
"My name is Narimé Lagina.."

"Uh.. Heh I'm sorry guys but my name isn't Burn. My
name is Hotei Tainn. Just Hotei..Not Burn." He corrected the two females
with a sheepish smile and shrugged his massize shoulders.
"I'm really sorry miss but I don't know you. Even if you do seem really nice...
I just don't." He smiled and touched his nose to the green eyed female.
"If you want to be friends though It would be fine with me. You both seem really
nice." He turned his attention to the other bluish eyed female too.

Bright emerald eyes remained locked on the glowing yellow ones. She knew this was Hotei Tainn. . .but he had claimed that he had wanted to be called Burn. Something was odd about how he was acting though. This was surely not the wolf she had met on a hunting trip not too long ago. She remember the rude demeanor and attitude she had gotten from him, though it hadn’t phased her, she found it shockingly scary that this other male didn’t remember who she was. . .and oddly. . .she felt disappointed. She had liked the way Burn acted and she didn’t mind the way the wolf in front of her was acting, but she was oddly sad that he hadn’t remembered her.

Her eyes revealed that easily though, but she turned to the other female quickly stating her name, “Nice to meet you. . .” she paused before adding, “Both of you. I am Jessie Swiftpaw.” Her ear folded slightly, but Bur-Hotei’s nose soon jutted out to touch hers. That was the last sign that she took that the only thing that was similar to Hotei and Burn was their looks and scent. She smiled slightly at his words and nodded her head when he spoke, “That sounds good to me.”

The Sacredness of it All... - Narimé - Aug 02, 2012

[dohtml]

"Oh I'm sorry! I just thought... Well.. Hotei I'm Narimé." the yearling words
stumbled out in embarassment. She didn't know what his name was! Why would
she say that! Even if it seemed the other wolf had known him. Though Narimé was
quite confused now. The other females reaction had clearly been one of recognition to
the black male. But how come he didn't seem to know her? Was she mistaken?
Narimé scuffed her paws against the ground trying to think of something to say
in the awkward silence that enveloped the trio. Then the other female, Jessie, spoke.
"That sounds good to me." the green eyed female commented to
Hotei? Though before that she seemed rather taken aback by the male for some reason.

"Umm.. Sure I guess we could be friends?" She shrugged her shoulders then glanced
at Jessie with a shy smile. Well he seems okay I guess. I just wonder where all the
scars came from...
Narimé glanced back at Hotei then looked back to the ground. She
didn't want to be caught staring. Then the silvery yearling looked back towards the other
gray female. Jessie also seems to have a good heart. I wonder where she came from?

"Jessie... right? Uhmm Can I ask what pack you're from? I'm just curious. It smells like
one I have not gotten to come across in my travels yet.." She dipped her head submissively
for the question was one that seemed triky to ask some wolves about. Some wolves wanted
to keep their packs secret whereas others openly spoke about their packs.
Her shiny black nose twitching Narimé scented the female thoroughly to remember
the scent. The male did not have the mixed scents of wolves which made up a pack
scent. He had his scent and his alone. This meant that he was a loner. Narimé was growing
more curious about the friendly black male. But first she wanted to know what pack
the female came from. So far the yearling knew about three paks including her own. This
would make the fourth if Jessie was willing to at least tell her the name of it.

The Sacredness of it All... - Hotei - Aug 04, 2012

[dohtml]

Hotei was confused as hell right now. Okay then.. The gray
girl with the blue eyes is Narimé, and the gray woman with the green
eyes is Jessie. I got that, but why would Narimé want to know what pack
Jessie's from? What's that got to do with anything?.
Hotei cocked his head
watching the younger girl lower herself all submissive like as she asked the question.
I wonder how many packs she has met individual members with already. He kept
quiet waiting to see if Jessie would answer. The black Tainn had no clue why Jessie's
scent was just.. Sooooo familiar. He felt like he should know her but could not think
of anytime he'd met her.

"Well to make it even for you tw. I noticed you Narimé have a pack scent of some sorts
on you as well. And it's not one that I knew about in Relic-Lore's past. So are you
a part of a newer pack?" He quickly sounded his question before the situation got
awkward. Hotei was pretty sure asking someone of their pack right off was well...not
right. So this way they would both have to answer the same type of question.

Her head tilted slightly at the question that had been addressed towards her. What pack was she from? She was close to borders, but outside of the territory. Her worried emerald eyes looked back towards her territory briefly, unsure of how she should answer. Corinna, her alphess, had yet to meet her and Jess feared that she was not supposed to reveal her pack’s whereabouts, but no harm no foul right? If she didn’t know then she definitely wasn’t doing anything wrong. Her friend’s words traveled towards her ears, and she twitched them slightly before turning her head back towards the two gathered wolves. “I am from Swift River.”

She did not mention that they were close to her territory, for she was sure they could scent out the borders one their own. Her ears folded over slightly and her head turned towards Narimé, her eyes asking the question on their own. What pack was she from? Jess hadn’t scented the pack before, but was sure she remembered it from somewhere. . .hadn’t her scent been on Sloane when they had met? Yes, that had been it, only her scent seemed to be slightly different. Who knew, the yearling in front of her could easily have been a lone wolf, with a change of scent, or just te wrong female she was thinking of.
