And So it Begins - Guiness - Jul 16, 2012 [dohtml] He didn’t trust anyone else for the job and he was highly devoted to his sister. They were family and he would never deny that fact. They loved each other and would stay truthful to one another for their entire lives. His loyalty was all given to her at the moment. He was her giant and they wouldn’t separate. . .at least, they didn’t plan on separating any time soon. His head soon raised away from his sister, but only slightly, when they both came upon a large area of water. His amber eyes sparkled in delight at the scene and his red creamy fur darkened with the shaded trees around them. Perhaps soon they would have a place to call home, together they could find the place. The place that could be their sanctuary once again. His kind eyes swept back over Tempest quickly, searching her for any opinions she might have on the lands. She was their voice and he was the one that would stay in the background, keeping his eyes on Tem and watching out for any dangers. Nothing would ever be able to touch his sister, he would never allow it. And So it Begins - Tempest - Jul 17, 2012 Tempest was lost in thought as they traveled the last stretch to the land others referred to as Relic Lore. She did not worry for her safety for her brother Guiness was by her side, as ever, and she pitied the creature that tried to do them harm. He was huge, strong and utterly devoted to her. He would take on a bear to keep her safe and she loved him dearly for it. So it was that she was free to ponder where they were headed, both literally and figuratively. And So it Begins - Guiness - Jul 17, 2012 [dohtml] His golden amber eyes continuously scanned the area, waiting patiently for his sister to speak again. He wasn’t a wolf of many words, but spoke when it was needed. Perfect example being, if another wolf that was intimidating to his sister, he would be the one to speak and not his sister. The problem was. . .not many things frightened his sister. . .but in his eyes, it was almost as if every wolf they would encounter was a danger to them. His red ears pricked accordingly, listening for any other sign of life. But at the moment, it seemed that they were lucky, because there was no scent or sound that indicated another sign of life. The only thing he could hear was she soft laps of water coming from his sister. The sound was peaceful, and he moved over so that his shoulder fur was brushing gently against hers. And So it Begins - Tempest - Jul 18, 2012 Tempest felt comforted when Guiness approached and the fur of his shoulder brushed against hers and gave him a soft smile. They were far closer than most siblings because of all that they had survived together. Thorbens were known for honor and loyalty, especially to family, but their bond had been tempered in the fires of tragedy and was unbreakable. She and Guiness were a perfect team now, after a year of honing each of their talents. She was typically that one that took the lead in the decision making, but he was always the leader when it came to protection. She was a very self-assured wolf, stronger and larger than most females, but he was her very own body guard despite those facts. The bear of a wolf would have it no other way. And So it Begins - Guiness - Jul 21, 2012 [dohtml] Soon it seemed Tempest had made her decision to stay put for awhile, and soon his sister was out in the large lagoon. His golden amber eyes remained solely on her back as she made her way to the middle. It seemed she was generally enjoying herself. . .and that one fact brought joy to Gui. His movements followed hers. . .he knew how it worked. She would catch something and he would take the death blow to make sure that their food wouldn’t flop back into the water just as soon as she had caught it. Finally, when it seemed as though they had been standing there for hours on end, a splash alerted him on the first catch. His movements were quick, and the thrown fish was soon in his jaws, crushing down on his sister’s catch, breaking its bones and killing it. The process continued for more treacherous hours until finally his sister was determined that the catches were enough for them. His red ears twitched as his sister finally was in front of him. With a small smile at her he licked her cheek in thanks. With an arched eyebrow at the amount he got, he returned one of the three fish that she had given him. She would need the meat more than he would. She had been the one in the water for hours, but him. He had simply sat on his behind and waited. His jaws soon plunged into the first fish, taking his time to chew and swallow the piece he had bitten off. He was thankful for his sister letting him hand around. He would protect her no matter what. And So it Begins - Tempest - Jul 23, 2012 Tempest was tired after all of the fishing. It really hadn't taken that long, but her muscles ached from holding so still to lure their dinner close enough to catch. You could typically catch a rabbit or two much faster, but the change in menu was always welcome. When Guiness shoved one of the fish back her way, she just huffed at him. He was always generous to a fault. She knew what he was thinking, that she'd done all of the work, but her was their main protection and he was, well... massive. It took a lot to sustain all of that bulk and she well knew it. And So it Begins - Guiness - Jul 24, 2012 [dohtml] He ate in silence with his sister, satisfied that she had taken the other fish without complaint. He was not one to eat at a fast tempo. . .so when half of the fish he had given came flying towards his face he gave a blink of surprise. The surprise soon turned into blunt annoyance. His sister was never one to take things that he would give her easily. It was as if almost everything he did was wrong one way or another. But he didn’t mind it. . .for he knew his sister would be the one to correct him and help him fix his mistakes. . .and this would be one of those things he would just have to take graciously and hope that she would have enough food to sustain her. The rest of his meal was eaten in silence, his golden amber eyes fixated on his sister. When he came to the last half he gave his sister a quick look of thanks before eating the rest. It seemed, as always, she had been the one to finish first, and that perhaps she was ready to move forwards in their journey. She seemed to be thinking deeply into something, so Guiness simply sat up and wagged his tail slightly as he waited for his sister’s words, if she would, by any chance, have any. The pair wasn’t one of many words, and Guiness rarely spoke unless it was needed. When his sister’s words echoed in his ears a small smile spread over his handsome features. Sloane. . .he had missed his younger brother, and finally his sister had made the decision. They were close. . .what would happen when they found their younger brother was unknown at the time being. But it seemed as though his sister wasn’t ready to move yet. . .or she was waiting for his answer. He simply nodded his head in encouragement before twitching his ears in show that he had indeed heard her. Perhaps their trip would be cut short by something else though. . .and whoever that happened to be wouldn’t be happy about meeting him. And So it Begins - Tempest - Aug 08, 2012 Tempest smiled at her silent brother. His wordless acknowledgement was enough. After all of this time together, they were hardly necessary between them. They trusted each other and worked well as a team. Gui waited for her to make the next call on their destination. She had to decide whether they bunked here for the rest of the afternoon and night or move them further into this land that their brother had traversed. His patient amber golden eyes watched his sister in keen nobility. He was so proud of her and always looked up to her. They were roughly the same size and he approved of Tem’s way of doing things. Perhaps one day they could find a pack and rule it as their own, together. How interesting would that be!? If the two ruled side by side as siblings. He had heard of the case before and it had interested him highly. He had been that most siblings would not get along very well, and it shocked him, probably because it and something to do with how his sister and his own relationship were. They were bonded, only needing a look to communicate to one another. It would sometimes seem as though they had practiced their looks that they would give each other, but in truth, it was pure instinct. When his sister spoke, his head dipped in acceptance of her words before a small grin was planted onto his lips. He was not a hunter, more of a Guardian than anything, but if his sister wanted a hunt, then the two of them were to hunt. The only problem with the situation was that the both of them were large and that was hard to work with considering that speed was definitely not on their side. Due to that, they were cursed to the larger prey, the ones that were slow. . .but much harder to take down. They would surely need help with a hunt if she wanted to catch enough prey for the both of them, but surely, if that were to not happen, the faithful brother would automatically give up the food for his sister. And So it Begins - Tempest - Sep 15, 2012 (Sorry for the unforgivable delay, but Tem is finally here! :P ) Tempest hardly even thought about whether or not Guiness agreed with her decision. The two of them worked like a well oiled machine together and rarely disagreed over anything. Although she did know that her bear of a brother would not hesitate to let her know if he had other thoughts... it was just beyond rare. |
