There's a Mouse in My House - Aniu - Sep 21, 2012 Let the pups have some fun with her first before any adults jump in please. [dohtml] Far from being a strepitous wolf, Aniu had kept her distance since her meeting with Jaysyek. Although she had been accepted into the Hollow she hardly held the confidence to integrate and so, had kept her distance well. Away from the pups and away from the pack. The scent that had marked her as one of their own had long since faded from her fur and yet she felt bound to the cedar trees that marked their home. She worked hard, hunting alone, rarely catching anything larger than a hare, but what she did manage to catch, went dutifully into the pack caches. Now the seasons were beginning to turn again, they would need all the food they could squirrel away for the long winter ahead. Although she was still shy, she no longer slunk about like a fox in a hen house. Her small frame was always neutral, and while she was still prone to flinching at sudden noises and movements, it had been a long time since she had embarrassed herself like she had at Swift River. Her ears pinned back and her brow crinkled in an embarrassed pout at the thought. If only her sister had seen her. She would have been so ashamed. She shook the thoughts from her head with a sharp jerk. This wasn't the time to be thinking of suck nonsense. She had a job to do if she didn't want her pack mates to starve. Lowering her dark nose to the ground, she took in the scents around her. Finally a frightful cooing caught her attention. The pigeon was earthbound, its wing stuck out at a sickly angle. The small bird was hardly a meal, but it was still an opportunity she wasn't quite willing to pass up. Crouching low, she stalked forward, hardly necessary given the birds inability to fly, but she did it out of habit non the less. Realizing how foolish she must appear, she raised herself in plain sight as she stalked forward with purpose. The poor thing could sense its impending demise and flapped and hopped about in an effort to escape the gaping jaws of the peppered wolf. She made several lunges, a comical dance before her teeth finally found what they were seeking. It was over quickly and a few feathers had become lodged in her fur, but she had her prize. Now to return it to her pack... "speech"[/dohtml] There's a Mouse in My House - Renier - Sep 29, 2012 There should have been enough unexplored turf around the hollow to keep the boy busy. He had been to the stream, nosed Borden's caches, and even went in the direction of the Marsh deciding for once he probably better not leave the cozy forest. Mother warned them it was about to get colder, and things would change. There was something to her eye that had told him if he disobeyed again he would suffer from it. Best he could he tried to ignore his impulse to wander without limits. If he found something of interest he would follow it, but if it lead past the borders he turned, and began to run in the opposite direction. There's a Mouse in My House - Taima - Oct 01, 2012 The second to rise from the den Taima had made plans for the day. Practice hunting and tracking, find something cool, and maybe try to follow Mom or Dad's trail to see what they were up to. After having filled her stomach with a small bit of squirrel that Renier had apparently left alone, she surveyed the grove around her. The forest, though the air had chilled to a slight degree, was still alive with sounds and all sorts of activity. Her gaze darted from one branch to another before finally settling on the ground. She stood up and her brother's scent wafted her way. Her nose twitched and, deciding on a whim, she opted to follow his path instead. There's a Mouse in My House - Aniu - Oct 03, 2012 [dohtml] She didn’t get far before the first miniature wolf accosted her... miniature because it was incredibly rare for her to encounter anyone smaller than she. His proclamation that she had his bird rang somewhat true to the little lass. She had caught it for her pack, he smelled of her pack, therefore, the bird could well be his... Her ears folded back as she began to slowly approach with every intention of leaving it at his feet, but she froze when the second little monster appeared and started growling at her for no good reason. Her eyes narrowed at the young wolf in reproach, her jaws still clamped firmly about the pigeon. What were the young doing so far from the den...? She resigned herself to watch the pair, and escort them back when they were done, when yet a third voice joined the fray and told her to give the bird back to the first one. It was all too much for the timid little wolf and she dropped to her back, forgetting to lessen her grip on the scrap that was causing such a fuss. She lay there, with feathers in her face and awaited what was surely to be her impending doom... not for a moment thinking her posture could be mistaken for play. Finally, her jaws loosened and the pigeon fell next to her head, just as dead as she was certain she would be momentarily... "speech"[/dohtml] There's a Mouse in My House - Renier - Oct 12, 2012 oh my hell he's a brat xD sorry Aniu It was easier to get even more cocky with his brother by his side adding his growl to Renier's own. Though Ren hardly needed any encouragement, he had already made up his mind. He wanted that bird. How on earth he knew Aniu was not the type of wolf to take it, and snap at such a full of it pup it was hard to say. There's a Mouse in My House - Ryvet - Oct 15, 2012 [dohtml]
There's a Mouse in My House - Taima - Oct 17, 2012 Taima eyed the woman with a hard glare, watching as she folded and seemingly crumpled before them. A soft growl sounded out from within her and as her masked brother suggested that they make sure their target had been defeated she followed suit. When he made to pounce at Aniu's chest, she went ahead to inspect the woman's head. Unaware of Ryvet's panic, the girl inspected the feathers scattered over the supposed corpse's face. Well, things could have been worse and she and her brothers could have been attacked or even scolded, but this pack member here just... flopped over. There's a Mouse in My House - Aniu - Oct 17, 2012 [dohtml] Oh no... they were... they were ATTACKING her! Soft small bodies launched and each found their mark, they had co-ordinated well, shock quickly morphed and before she could stop it, a giggle escaped her chest. The relentless attacks of the children were tickling her! The well aimed nips at her paws and the persistent tug on her ear made it impossible for her to stay in place. She rolled onto her stomach, attempting to shake the small beasts off her as she bowed down playfully, her tail wagging at an almost unseeable rate. She had forgotten how much fun the little ones could be. She jerked forwards before pulling back again with a smile and a short bark, trying to entice them into chasing her. She rolled onto her side, over on her back and then over again, all the while inching back into the territory and closer to the den. With any luck they would take the bait and follow her home without realising what was really going on. The bird was left forgotten on the ground. If they ran at her she would fall easily, happy to play the pretend ‘prey’ if it meant they were at least going to be a little closer to home. "speech"[/dohtml] There's a Mouse in My House - Renier - Oct 26, 2012 A little powerplay Becuffin, I can change it. Pointy puppy teeth did not vicously snap at her paw. They trid to grab as hard as he would in any kind of play. |
