"Run," He told himself, head ducked and long legs stretching over the terrain. "Run, run, run." But why was he running? He wasn't entirely sure; at least, until the flash of the white hare showed through the tall grass, and the clouds rolled above him and released another shock of thunder. Amon didn't know whether to chase the rabbit or run for cover, but the decision was made for him when he turned and another, darker rabbit leaped almost straight into his jaws, fleeing from who-knows what.

Snap! He closed his maw around the thing mid-leap and skidded to a halt, taking a moment to shake it like a rag doll, making sure it was really dead. "I hate that part," That sometimes-other voice sighed in his head, and Amon shook it some more for good measure, to make it go away. Some days he recognized that voice as his own; but today was not one of those days. When the voice had been silenced, he started to settle down, nuzzling his dinner. The rolling skies over head put a stop to that, frightening him into motion.

He clutched his rabbit fearfully as he took off running, tail neatly tucked between his legs as he scurried for the nearest hiding place. It just so happened to be a log, which Amon made a great fool of himself with by trying to squeeze inside. He almost managed to get stuck, but pulled away just in time, circling instead to the side. He dug himself a little niche beside it, and lay down, squeezing as close to the wood as possible. He'd almost forgotten the rabbit in his jaws, so occupied was he with watching the sky.

"Please don't hurt..."
