Sema trotted along the border, though she had no official title, Elettra had mentioned of all packmates doing whatever they could to help out when they were not performing their specific role. She had no smile to her; the light brown and black girl with a white belly was truly a heart of steel. She had been taught as much. She hoped to gain approval from the other members of the pack, approval for her being there. As she walked around the borders, she marked them. She marked each and every tree with some form of the Ridge scent, which was required of the pack, especially guardians. She had been long debating what role she would perform. She was definitely not a hunter, but other than that, she could do almost anything. She was almost convinced that she should tell Elettra of her past as an assassin and offer to take out any traitors or betrayers that Elettra wanted. However she doubted the regal lady could go for such things.

Yet she felt there was something more to do, something that would lead her to a higher cause, perhaps she should be a scout. She was fast enough to deliver messages then most of the other wolves that happened to be larger. Teacher echoed in her ear a few times, she had taught her brothers and by the end, they could beat the beta’s in a fight, the could hunt, though she was a horrid hunter, she knew how to properly hunt, just balance wasn’t in her favor. She could teach them scavenging in case they were caught in a cold situation or she could do something else. Perhaps not claim a title at all and just do whatever Elettra needed, like a beckon and call fae. She knew with the pups coming soon, that Madam Elettra would need a beckon and call fae, that was a given.

The scents of males flooded her nose, it was mostly males that marked the borders and the anticipation was killing her. She needed to prove herself, but she had been away from males for a long time, attacking those she saw. Yet at the same time, she was calm enough around Kasai. It was off of her, but then again she knew that the female alpha would hear about it if she went out, seeking to join after Sema attacked one of her guardians. Other than that, there was no reason not to attack, but she had remained calm. She had to act like a proper lady when she was joining or there was pack business.

hey namara, I edited the thread type because the "pack" tag is only mean to be used for pack activities like meets, hunting, etc.

RE: Protect and Serve - Tempest - Apr 17, 2013

Tempest had tried some fishing this morning, but luck was not with her. The fish were still reluctant to come close and she was rusty after the long winter. Unfazed, the fiery woman knew that it would come back to her. She had a knack for fishing more than most wolves and she loved the taste of the aquatic creatures. It was a delicacy that she'd missed sorely over the cold season when she had to make due with more rabbits to make up the difference. This was one of the few things that she and Guiness disagreed on. She loved fish and he wasn't so fond of them and he loved rabbit and she quickly tired of the little hoppers. No matter, she'd try again soon, hopefully with better luck.

As she trotted back towards the den, she caught the scent of a stranger. Not a stranger to the pack, for she'd scented the female recently around the territory, but she hadn't met her yet. With Narime' and her brother off starting their own pack and Kyrie having disappeared again, she'd had no female company to talk to. Elettra was busy keeping the pack going with all of the departures and desertions and Skana was a wolf that did not seem like the type for idle chit-chat. It seemed like all of her friends had left. Even Phineas, whom she'd become comfortable with had gone away. She had no idea what kind of wolf this new fae was, but now seemed as good a time as any to find out. It would be nice if they were friendly and perhaps the two of them could talk sometimes. Her brother was the only wolf close to her and he was just too quiet for the most part.

Following the trail, Tempest idly marked the borders as she went. They had been marked recently by the other woman, but it would not due if the large fae didn't do her part as well. She might be a Huntress, but she could still do the duties of a guardian should it become necessary, be it border patrol or outright protection. This slowed her progress a bit, since she also took the time to rub her burnished red pelt along various trees for goo measure. Yet, progress she did and soon came upon the object of her curiosity, a fae covered in dark greys and rich chocolatey browns that blended well with the trunks of the surrounding trees. The woman had a slender build, which spoke of the speed that Tempest herself lacked. She consoled herself that what she lacked in speed, she more than made up for in strength and stamina.

After observing the female for a moment, Tempest cleared her throat softly and greeted the smaller fae. "Hello, there! I'm Tempest Thorben, Huntress of Willow Ridge. Welcome to the pack!" Better late than never, right? She held her large form with confidence, but her russet plume waved gently above her back and her golden amber eyes shone with friendliness as she waited for the darker woman's response.

Sema turned at the sound of a fae behind her. She had caught the scent already, but had continued to work, thinking that perhaps the fae was examining her. The friendliness in her voice made Sema feel like she had to be friendly back. She smiled as she turned and greeted the wolf with her own name. “Thanks, I’m Semananti Whurshire, newest to the pack.” She had no official title to call herself, so she just greeted her with the ‘newest to the pack’ line. Her tail lowered underneath where Tempest’s tail was, just because she knew herself to be the lowest female in the pack. She heard the word huntress and gave respect to the female, for hunting was a skill that Sema did not have.

“I’m afraid I’ll never be able to call myself a huntress like yourself; the trait does not come to me. I’m too clumsy when it comes to hunting.” She offered up a piece of chat, she wasn’t necessarily one for chat, but she would talk to pass the time. Sometimes she was one for action, as in things like fighting; she liked to hunt down wolves too, that suited her well. She remembered that she herself had to talk to Elettra about that. She didn’t quite feel the Guardian’s pursuit in this case; she had been a Guardian for a short while in the Omaticya before becoming a teacher. But both roles brought back painful memories from the day her parents shunned her. She knew that she wanted a fast paced job, one that took speed and stamina to complete. But what she just didn’t know yet.

She herself had been a bit lonely, and she did hope to get to know her packmates a bit more. So she decided that it was time for an actual conversation. The only wolves she knew so far were Kasai and Elettra. She had scented others around the territory, but had yet to meet them. Everyone was busy after all. That was what part of pack life was about. It was about loyalty, and keeping each other safe.
