feel the earth move and then - Ataneq - Jun 16, 2013

[dohtml]

@[Éponine] , @Phineas and/or @Borlla . Both leaders, or one. <3

<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">
<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#144034;">

Their journey had been minimal at best, going through Spectral Woods as their only option of travel and avoiding any wolves for fear that someone might take his find. It had taken him a while to even grow any sense of trust in the girl that traveled with him, though he was growing proud of himself for having bribed her into joining the Glen. Simply because she had asked to share the kill that he found and planned to give to the pack. Luckily, the female yearling had not tried anything and it was smart of her. Otherwise Ataneq would have had to either attack or threaten her to leave, making the journey of dragging the carcass back home that much more difficult.

Once arriving to the Glen, not overstepping boundaries since he was with someone not of their land, he looked to her with bright eyes and a grin to match. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">“This is it” as he took his gaze to that of the Glen and felt himself quite at home. He liked this place, it was comforting and beautiful. It was a scenic territory that his leaders had chosen well, though he didn’t believe himself to be kissing ass, at least not yet. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">“We can call for my leaders together, so that way they can be notified of a newcomer.” Calling to the sky with the green eyed female, he knew that their time here could be a littlee while. Borlla might be busy of the children, or maybe Phineas was watching them for the day, but they would wait for either one for as long as necessary.

RE: feel the earth move and then - Éponine - Jun 16, 2013

[dohtml]
             Éponine was not quite sure how they had made it this far with the kill, but her muscles were beginning to ache. They made sure to remain quiet in their travels so as not to attract the attention of other wolves that might be wanting to take the kill. Since she had arrived and stayed in Umbra Copse for the past few days she had noticed just how many lone wolves there were around here and it intimidated her to the point she went completely out of her way to avoid anyone. From what she could tell - from what she had passed that is - there were quite a few packs in the area, and she had hoped she had found the right one.

             The tall girl released the large carcass from her jowls and took a step away from it. Her tail wagged happily back and forth as Ataneq announced they had finally arrived. Her eyes scoured the sights, with summer almost here everything was so lush and green and it looked like a place she would want to stay in for a long time. Her paws itched to run forth and explore, but she had to check herself... She had not even been accepted yet. Refraining from doing anything at that moment she looked to Ataneq to see what the next plan of action was. He state simply they would howl for the leaders. This would be her chance to join into the mishpocha that was his pack and hopefully earn a good rank.

             Éponine raised her obsidian muzzle to the sky and the pitch of her howl matched Ataneq's and resounded in the sky above them. His deep baritone mixed in with the lovely, softer melody of her own made quite the music to any other creatures in the area. She sat back on her haunches and with her chartreuse eyes ablaze waiting for the sounds or smells of someone to come greet them.
"speech!"

RE: feel the earth move and then - Borlla - Jun 16, 2013

[dohtml]

Borlla fussed herself with their little mishpocha. Slowly but surely, the woman was introducing herself to each and everyone of their members. It had started with Erebos, and well...That was where it had stopped for the time being. Much of the time, she was busy with Kyros and Hypatia. They were growing wonderfully and she hardly wanted to stay a moment away from them, for fear of missing something important. She desired to see out Phineas today, perhaps take a bit of a walk with him. Resting beside a bit of stream that snaked through their lands, she pulled herself up into a stretch, jaws parting widely. Her tail swayed happily above her back as she turned to head back to the den site. However, a howl near the borders caught her immediate attention. It sounded not unlike Ataneq, if she remembered correctly.

But there was another call with it, and her ears perked up, curiosity upon her face. It seemed as though he'd brought someone with him. Her tail wagged a bit, before she made a hairpin turn back towards the border, in the general direction of the sound. Her muzzle was tipped up as she caught his scent and aimed herself a bit more directly. They came into view shortly, and she adjusted her posture to accommodate the situation. Her tail ceased its happy movement and her muzzle remained in it's slightly lifted position. Though determined to appear dominant, she was also quite curious which was evident in the wideness of her eyes.

"Who is this, Ataneq?" She asked right off the bat, ears tipped forward, her eyes aimed directly at the gray stranger. It seemed they'd brought an offering of sorts with them and she smiled lightly. "Have you come here to join our little family?" Borlla asked the girl directly this time, her voice kind but firm. "speech."

Rachel, you're still more than welcome to pop in !

<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">
<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#144034;">

As patiently as he could, he waited. The silence between them was odd, though not entirely uncomfortable. Ataneq liked her, found her pretty and interesting—there was certainly many things to learn about her and this would be a good start. It would be a good experience for him to have this female join his pack, as it was new and he felt it could use a few more faces in the crowd. Especially ones that were his age, it was just a bonus if they happened to be pretty to look at.

It came as no surprise to him that his leader did not waste time arriving to see them, though he was surprised to see Borlla. He truly had expected her to stay with her children, but perhaps he was unaware that the kids were able to stay around the den more instead of being locked away. Time flew like that, he supposed. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">“Borlla,” he lowered his head respectfully and assumed his companion would do the same, <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">“I apologize if I have taken you away from anything.” Ataneq was not entirely sure of a leaders responsibilities aside from the things that his mother did when he was younger, but he assumed that there were many things she did as an Alpha.

<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">“This is Éponine and I think she is interested in joining,” he turned his muzzle to the female yearling with a charming smile, showing her that she should speak and tell Borlla of her desires. Though their find lay within their reach, he wished to get Éponine settled away first.

             Éponine was filled with excitement to say the least as she stood there in the shadow of the beautifully flowered trees around her. There was a great assortment of colours green, blue, pink, earthy tones and just as many if not more smells that excited her with every sniff. Her hunger had been completely forgotten about as the butterflies danced away in her stomach in her utter disbelief and excitement of what was to come. As much as she tried to reign in her emotions she was just too young to have that kind of control over them. There were many questions she wished to ask Ataneq, but she supposed it would be better to save the talking for when an alpha was here.

             Just as the thought of a leader crossed her mind there was a soft rustle of dirt underfoot and she spotted the ivory female enter her line of vision. Instantly the Stark child dipped her head low and her tail swooped to the side, cupping her rear and leg in a submissive show. The female smelled heavily of milk and pups and Po had hoped she had not disturbed the female and her mishpocha. The woman seemed just as curious about her as she did, and her bright chartreuse eyes dared to rise slightly to look at the female when she spoke, but her body showed her submission as she listened to her words, considering them carefully.

             "I am sorry if I have disturbed you," she quickly spoke, her eyes trailing over to Ataneq as he spoke her intentions. "Ataneq has spoke the truth. I wish to join your family here if you shall have me," she began, quickly adding: "Of course, I do not expect you to just accept me. I do have some knowledge of medicine and plants and I am a very quick learner. I do not possess much strength, but I believe my speed and wit would more than make up for that," her words slowed at the end as she thought of what else she could add. She was still young, so she did not possess many worldly skills like the wolves she knew from before. The silvery girl waited in silence for her to ask her more questions or to perhaps just turn her away.

RE: feel the earth move and then - Phineas - Jun 17, 2013

[dohtml]

The call that echoed across the Glen stirred the male to action much faster than his previous lumbering pace about the pack borders – he had left earlier in the day, kissing the top of his mates crown and bidding the two sleeping little ones a quiet goodbye with a quick nudge to their cheeks to reassure himself they were fine. Thus far the day had proved to be quiet – so much, in fact, that the ivory leader had not even come across another wolf of the pack, and felt slightly miffed with this thought – where was the rest of the pack on a day like today?

His paws lead him to the youth named Ataneq swiftly, though not as swiftly as his mate. His fiery eyes fell upon her slender figure, noting the pale honey within her fur and how beautiful she seemed. He was surprised to see her here – he had expected her to be with Kyros and Hypatia, yet she too would need a small break from their nipping teeth and constant jabbering, as enticing as they were.

Sliding up to stand by his mate, his stance made clear of his rank, though he made no verbal greeting. Borlla had already seemingly begun to ask questions, and he was not one to undermine his Lead Female – he knew perfectly well she was capable. His eyes instead studied the youthful pair before them – Ataneq, as dark as his mother and perhaps as quiet as her as well, and the stranger, a gleaming silver and ebony. A doe rested beside them, and he blinked curiously, pleased to know that the cache’s would be full. Despite this though, he kept his reservations to himself. Was this stranger another to be follower of Siku and her son, come the time when they left?

RE: feel the earth move and then - Borlla - Jun 18, 2013

The apology of the male registered in her ears, but she was hardly bothered. Her children would be alright without her for a little while. Besides, she desired to meet everyone and make herself useful, since she'd been pregnant for the whole process, more or less. And so far, Ataneq was making quite the excellent first impression, bringing someone along with him, adding to their numbers, to their power. Turning her gaze upon Eponine again, she listened to the girl as she spoke, though found herself distracted when Phineas arrived. But it was only for a moment, since he remained silent. The girl was apologetic as well, and Borlla withheld her amusement at it.

She listened with curiosity as Eponine tried to sell herself. Her knowledge of plants could certainly come in handy. Bright eyes shifted towards Phineas for the faintest of moments, and she nodded. "It seems as though you've worked well with Ataneq to obtain this doe." She eyed the prize that the two had brought back, an excellent addition to their cache, if not the mass of it. "And your knowledge of medicines could certainly come in handy once winter returns." The woman seemed thoughtful and turned her gaze upon Phineas now, holding it there. "What do you think, Phineas?" While they wouldn't both always be around to make decisions such as this, he was here now, and she would hear what he had to say on the matter. "speech."

<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">
<b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#144034;">

It was quite obvious by how the girl he had brought was suddenly mesmerized by the area in which he had brought her. Though, he was not surprised in the least. This land was beautiful and it certainly held a wonderful allure that he would call a fool to anyone who passed this up. There were very brief moments where Ataneq felt that he would end up staying in the Glen… after all, he had made a friend and now two (he thought) so he held more reason to stay here. Friends had never been previously made until now and he didn’t want to let that go.

Whilst Eponine explained what she knew so that Borlla would be interested in her talents, this was the first he heard of her skills. She was much more intelligent than he first thought, given that she knew herbology which seemed like a very rare quality to find or possess. It seemed that the two yearlings were lucky, as even Phineas had showed up to greet them and Ataneq felt honored that the two of them were here to meet his recruit. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#004A80;">“I wish I could take credit for this kill but I came across it near the Copse down south, I have not scented any sickness upon it so it is safe to consume,” he replied with a grin hoping that this would indeed keep the pack continuously fed for a while until he could actually pull off a hunt of large game.

Other than giving his honesty, he metaphorically kept his toes crossed that Eponine would be welcomed into the pack. Even if he was pretty sure that she was sold already, it would be Phineas’ determining answer.

I am so exciteddd.

             Éponine's falcate spine shifted as she tried to tuck her tail closer under her belly as another wolf appeared from deep within the territory. Her eyes shifted to him briefly and she assumed that he must have been the alpha male and paired with the ivory beauty beside him. She smiled, and her tail remained tucked between her legs in a show of submission and the conversation quickly turned back to her joining and skills in which the alpha female seemed to be interested in. The Stark girl did not like to toot her own horn, but she was not bad with her knowledge of plants and medical stuff seeing how young she was. She had held such a keen interest in it though that she quickly picked up and absorbed every ounce of knowledge that she could.

             The female must have been recently pregnant, and the idea of being able to play with puppies excited her. If and when Borlla trusted her enough she would watch them as much as she could and teach them whatever she could manage because puppies were always exciting to her. Their cute little faces and tiny voices made her ovaries quiver at the sight. She knew if there was anything she wanted in the whole world it would be to one day be a mother. Her sharp eyes turned from the ivory female to the tri-coloured male beside her awaiting his response to her question. Was she accepted into the pack? She did not have anything else to add so she remained silent as she awaited judgement.

RE: feel the earth move and then - Phineas - Jun 25, 2013

[dohtml]

I'MHERE! Sorry guys, was really sick last week. :c

The ivory wolf regarded the she-wolf stoically – his stance was not unwelcoming, and yet he gave no indication toward his thoughts. Ataneq was a temporary resident of the Glen – not by Phineas’ choice, but by his mother’s, and the wolf was uncertain as to whether the she-wolf’s allegiance was being sworn to he and Borlla, or to the dark boy that was currently at her side. This thought alone stirred a firm ‘no’ to almost fall past his lips, and yet it was not a fair decision.

A nod was given to the Yearling male, a ghost of a smirk presenting itself upon his muzzle. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#ACBCCA;">“A fine gift for the pack,” he affirmed, not wishing the boy to feel any less prideful at the fact he had not hunted the beast itself. It would be put to good use rather than to rot down in the Copse, and this meant the pack could hold off on a larger hunt for longer and conserve their energy in the summer heat.

One ear twitched at the mention of his name – Borlla’s question causing him to cast his leading lady a sideways glance. It seemed his mate held no thoughts of turning the girl away, and the ivory Leadess was correct – her talents could be of great use to them, even if they might be brief. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#ACBCCA;">“Welcome to Magnolia Glen,” he began, prowling forward to bump his nose to the top of the girl’s snout in acceptance. From there the regal would brush his shoulder to hers, rubbing off part of his and the pack’s scent upon her before his eyes fell upon the meal the two youthful wolves had found. <b style="font-family:georgia; font-size:12px; color:#ACBCCA;">“Ataneq, why don’t you and your friend take this to the pack den? Perhaps we can call the pack to a meal.”
