He was mentally slapping himself, trying to get the pack business out of his head and maybe have a casual conversation with one of his packmates other than Ana. Perhaps he would run into Ace or @Capella to talk to, they were long standing members, back when Rosealia was going to be alpha, and they remained by his side even when things seemed impossible to them. In good and in bad they were always with him and that made them trustworthy, not to mention he had talked a lot with Capella, she was a friend and he could trust her with even the most important secrets, like the one he was hiding from them all. He needed a kickstart, he would not call for her for there was nothing to call for, but he did look for his friend.


His pack seemed to be all pack business; no one seemed to be getting to know each other, though he knew they were probably just talking when he wasn’t around. He thought about a pack meeting, just so they could all get to know each other and maybe he could find out if one of them knew Spectre before she had lost her memory, perhaps one of them was related, most likely it would be Lachesis or Ana if anything, but it never hurt to check. His mind was all in a jumble and his head was starting to hurt. What was worse was Karpos had a cough that could develop which worried him.

It was a long trek home from the heights, and at this point she almost regretted making the journey in the first place. She'd once heard about mountain goats being a rather easy prey, but whomever said that was lying. There were several factors when it came to moving across the slopes, such as the fact that the rocks are not very set in their places. One wrong step could have you tumbling down all the way to your doom. Another very important thing that she wished she would have known was that the goats had a way of reaching rocks and places she could never dream. They could jump across canyons surefooted, leaving her trapped on the other side. All in all it was a disaster.

The light scents of home took over her senses, pulling her back toward the place where her family lived. Shade's perfume met her nose and she turned to follow it. It had been too long since she'd spoke to her alpha -- her friend -- and she wasn't sure how he was holding up with everything. Her paws moved effortlessly in his direction traveling over familiar land. Yes, it was a nice adventure, but it always felt great t come back home. Her pale form broke through the trees, finding the dark male all alone for once. It was a nice surprise as his days were now usually filled with alpha business and tending to the pups. "Shade" She greeted him, holding her ears back in a sign of respect. "How are things?" She hoped he would know that she didn't mean to ask how things with Pitch Pine were going, but rather with himself. They had been through a lot together, which only made her respect him more.

A smile lit up his face when the familiar voice of Capella filled his ears and snapped him away from his thoughts. She asked how he was faring and he knew she didn't mean with pack business, but with his personal thoughts. Though he knew Capella was one of those wolves that he could talk to without issues. "I'm holding up, but I fear that my past might be catching up with me.... mostly about Elettra and Willow Ridge." He stated honestly, a pang of worry coursing through him. He had handled a lot to the best of his abilities, however the threats that could end up harming his children were always on his mind. He took a seat, and motioned his head, welcoming Capella to do the same so they could talk.

Capella had been the second wolf he had recruited for Pitch Pine Trail, and though she was the lowest ranked female, it was purely because of age. It was customary for yearlings to be bumped down from their positions when a subordinate joined the ranks. If Shade had his way, Capella would still be standing as Second of Pitch Pine trail for her loyalty and dedication to him, Ana, the pups and everyone. It was her and Ace that first made Shade's dream a reality. He found himself to be a 'night owl' and tended to stay up late, and wake up late, though as far as he knew, Capella was normal. She was one of his best friends.
