RE: On High Alert - Senka - Sep 12, 2013

Senka knew what she had spoken had been more than Elettra had been expecting but to answer her question, it had been a necessity. It was hard to comprehend her traditions at the best of times to allies who knew about them for years, let alone a stranger who had never ventured near her old lands. Though, truth be told, had Cain not gained interest in her and everything had not happened, it would have gone without saying Senka held little interest in becoming a mother. She liked children and children liked her until their parents warned them away from her enough yet they was not something she foresaw having in her future. Deep down, she knew if she did ever have any, there would be a terror that one of them would possibly gain her ability and she dreaded the thought of the pup going through what she had.

It didn't trouble her that Elettra appeared to understand what the other fae had been told as they trotted up to the borders for her pack. Senka swiveled her head to glance around to study the area, ears twitching and nose easily picking out the border marks. How foolish of her to think that the once filled territory they had come from had still contained a pack! It went to show how long she had been near a pack and its borders, that she forgot how strongly markers usually smelt. Flicking her ears towards Elettra when she questioned what she would be doing next, Senka paused before she answered.

What would she be doing? Ingrained instincts told her that without a pack, no matter how big once winter rolled around, it would more then likely spell out her end. Never mind she would be more exposed to other predators, other loners would pose a threat to her as well, despite her larger frame. Senka studied the lady in front of her. Elettra had gained her respect and admiration for patiently listening to her tales, not regarding her in a odd way, at least openly. Her treatment in her old pack made her essentially a loner within the pack and had her mother not needed her, she would have left a long time before, possibly with her siblings at the death of her father. Finally making her decision, Senka answered.

"Perhaps, if you are willing to accept me, to become part of your pack? Lowering her head and tail once again, Senka was willing to pledge her life to the woman in front of her, should she accept it. It wasn't often someone knew of her ability and didn't reject her for it. Perhaps she was being too rash in her decision but if Elettra was able to look past that and trust her enough to escort her to her pack borders, then she earnt Senka's trust as well and she voiced it. "You are the first I have met in many years who has looked passed my ability and seen me still as something of an equal. Many in my pack, had I not been as good a hunter as I was, would have treated me as the lowest of the low simply for it. And that's what I offer. I offer my skills as a hunter for your pack and if needed any where else, I shall follow your orders."

Senka's decision was made clear, causing Elettra's ears to perk and her pale grey attention to turn upon the woman's own features. In truth, though the girl was very talkative and had not a care to spill her whole life story (very much he opposite of Elettra) there was nothing wrong with the woman. Of course, trust would come in time as well as friendship, though all in all the woman was in well spirits with the woman which, from Senka's speech, had been hard to come by in her life as of yet. It was exactly these feelings in Elettra, that there was 'nothing wrong' with the woman, that sparked her interest in joining her pack. The large woman was surely of such size to intimidate, let a loner thinks twice when it came to lingering on their border, and her skills had made obvious through their conversation. "The pack could do well with another hunter within it's ranks. With your special skill, I expect only the best of you." After all, if Senka's story had mentioned that amongst speaking with the smaller creatures of the land she was able to make deals with them in order to know of the best hunting locations, that Elettra expected the caches to be filled with the work Senka was placing within the pack by doing her part as any other would and thus, did, with whatever task they took too. "Your slate will be clean here, Senka." She speaks, a small smile forming over her lips as she turns away from the younger, larger woman and onto the lands before her. "Come with me." The demand was simple and with that, she pushed into the Drooping Willow lands, leading her east closer to the mountains and with it, closer to home.

RE: On High Alert - Senka - Sep 14, 2013

When the words rolled from Elettra's tongue that she was welcome in her pack, a smile graced hers and it only grew bigger when Elettra had referred to her ability as a special gift. Though the trust she herself had for the other would had only just sparked, it would still take time to completely take hold of her and then extend to the others within the pack but something told her that despite whatever the others thought, only the words and actions of the woman in front of her would matter.

" I shall not disappoint you Elettra," Senka promised with all her heart as the russet wolf trailed after her new leader, making sure to keep only a few feet behind her as they traveled towards the mountains. It made her curious to see who might be apart of the pack and what they might think of her as they drew near, nervousness worming its way into her heart. Old fears rose in her heart. If her new pack members knew of her skill as Elettra put it right off, would they accept her as their own or would they reject her like her old pack? Would she be chased out again once they found out?

She decided to keep her skill a secret for now. Unless Elettra decided to tell the pack, it wasn't a need to know. Bonds needed to be made first, friendships and trust needing to form before a word would be breathed of it. Only when and if it needed to be brought up would she explain it again and she hoped it wouldn't be brought into conversation for some time. Soon enough, they drew close to the pack and Elettra's-their, Senka corrected herself-home. Smells assaulted her nose and Senka knew this is where she would be living from now on. She had yet to meet any of the wolves that now made up her pack but she cared little for that right now. Her legs itched to explore the area, to see where everything was and to be able to pick out where the best sources of food were. Perhaps, even find a few allies within the smaller creatures.

From now, she knew, her life would be substantially better now her slate had been wiped clean and no longer needed to be on high alert for enemies within those she was expected to trust.

(And that's the end.)
