RE: and still die of old age - Elettra - Aug 13, 2013 [dohtml]
Six days of hard time within the heart of the pack den, deep within it's Infirmary left the woman quite a bit irritated. Her limitations had been obvious, with deep tooth punctures in her left shoulder, teeth slashes and bruises to her forelimb on that same leg, left her with an inability to maneuver very well. Her battle did not go without consequence, though the woman was lucky enough to have accepted two new members within the ranks before her down time had occurred. She had two more women with full ability in Scouting to watch her border. One of them quite the Huntress, she had said. Their skills would be placed to the test, to be seen if all hell did not break loose in Elettra's lack of showing within her pack. Her time within the den allowed her time with her children, teaching @Skoll, @Morganna and @Asriel alike basics on herbs as Elettra applied them to herself, so that her children would know to tense their own wounds should they get into any scuffles. She would further their vocabulary and of course, tell them the story of how she had ended up to tattered as this in the first place. The sun was high in the sky now, with partly clouded skies and quite a wind to the air. It whipped at the opening of the rock formation which made their pack den site, howling in a manner that caused the kept in Elettra eager to look out upon her home. She crawls herself out from the Infirmary and into the opening of the cave which her brethren lived, only to see it empty and lifeless, hopefully due to the fact that her members were hard at work. The toes on her left front limb brush the ground as she tests putting weight on it, wincing in doing so and does best to hop her way mainly out to the opening of the den, allowing the heat of the sun to sink along her back side. She was grateful for no broken bones, something that would have taken much longer, much more bed rest and likely to hinder her walking for life. The tearing to her fur, skin, and muscle would mend though for now the woman was left to limp pathetically around the den site as she healed. As she searched out over the terrain, she spots Narcissa in the distance, roaming mindlessly in a manner that had Elettra guessing that she was perhaps still studying to get to know the new home she had joined. For the time, Elettra merely observes the woman through the spare Willow forestry. RE: and still die of old age - Narcissa - Aug 13, 2013 [dohtml]

As soon as Narcissa scented her within the area, did her head lift from the ground and her ears perk to attention, seeking out the woman who was now her Leader. At first there was a questioning within Elettra, that perhaps the woman who seemed to hold as much pride and passion as she, would not stay under a Leader so hindered and broken with the fight she had recently had, once more sending the gypsy into the world without worry or care for herself and each day that passed her by. However, whatever connection they had shared with one another had been enough to keep the earthen hued woman within Elettra's clutches, causing her not only to stay within the pack lands but watch them like a hawk and even in this, proving her words of being a well hunter true with having brought her small kills to keep Elettra well more then satisfied as she remained trapped within the confines of the den. As sadly as it sounded, as of late her very pups had been able to explore more then she! Well satisfied with the woman's work with only having been here for a few weeks, the Archer woman was happy enough to now see her and showed so with a waving of her tail which remained low in relaxed manner at her backside. Only slightly lower does her head hang, in the same manner which Skana and Remy (when she had lived here) graced her with. It was these signs which showed powerful women within them, who were dominant and capable all too themselves but respectful and honorable to whom they chose to stand with at the time being. Elettra needed not command them, demand them, to gain what she willed from them as good members of their pack. It was this potential Elettra had seen in Narcissa and so far had yet proven to be true. "Let me see those eyes..." She breaths out in a near cooed manner as it whispers from her lips. Her muzzle leans forwards towards the woman, hovering before her nape as though she was willing to touch it, though stops herself before hand and pulls back, deciding to sit where she was and rest the injured limb. "Adjusting well?" She had assumed as such, from what she had seen of her thus far, though was willing to hear Narcissa out if she had any wonders and questions of her new home. Narcissa's head rose and with it, Elettra's eerie paleness of a silvered gaze hold the woman's green attention, light and bright in hue, like the color of a newly developed leaf. Those eyes reminded her of spring, something which had quickly already passed, birthing the heat and rains of the summer and already the quick approach of autumn. Soon, the weather would cool and Elettra would take to it with a childlike happiness as she romped through the snowy landscape. Though she was a healer and herbs during the spring kept her mind business and at ease with the hunt for them, play time in Winter was something that yet still brought whatever playful nature she had left in her to life. A small smile touches the corners of the woman's grey mug, listening to the woman before her and her will to stay. In many ways yet still, the woman before her reminded her of herself. Powerful, dominant, demanding for respect and attention. Everything which was fitting for being a Leader. Though this did not mean Narcissa was unable to listen to commands and be under a Leader herself. Elettra's time as Jaysyek's Second was a fond one for Elettra. Though she came to not trust the members who had formerly abandoned them, unwilling to accept them twice around, Elettra had lawfully stood by the side of her Leading female, protecting her, her children, and her Leadership with an iron paw until the day she decided to Lead for herself. Elettra saw this already within Narcissa, as well as the same Lawful nature she held even still with her eagerness to explore, for knowledge, to know the unknown. "I admit your kills for the pack have done us quite well. While most of us are able to feed for ourselves, our only wolf officially tasked to the job has recently ventured off..." Where Tempest had roamed too, Elettra was uncertain and was meaning to meet up with Guiness to see if the brother of her missing member might have any ideas to where she had gone. Of course, the pack still was doing well with food supply, but with Skana more of less unable to take part in long chases and the pups needing food but unable to hunt for themselves just yet, demand was more so needed then before. With these words, she hoped that Narcissa understood that hunting may still be part of the package from time to time at least until the three children within the pack were capable of doing some hunting on their own. "Whilst I am out of commission, your request seems fitting. If you encounter any wolf allied to a man named Shade or find the injured brute still lying about, feel free to do as you wish with them. Anyone you deem acceptable for our ranks, bring them to me." These were tasks set out for the woman who intended to be there scout. Party was already working hard on this duty, sneaking about the pack's borders, keeping her eyes and ears open along the pack land for information that might be suitable for Elettra to know. As well, it seemed, following Elettra's trail to make sure her Leader was watched over. From what it seemed as of yet, @Party was proving to be more of the "Lookout" whilst Narcissa's desire to wonder far and beyond the borders of her home, might have fitted for a new "Runner" for the pack now that Sema had gone. Though she was not of exactly small build, she was a experienced traveler, certainly capable of speaking to the pack's allies with a certain diplomacy needed to represent the pack well. As well, Narcissa was larger, more of a fighter then Party, able to more so defend herself out in the open far from pack lands, mostly if she ran into any with ill intent. Perhaps too, she would be successful in finding her daughter in her venturing, with hope to provide yet another well scout and huntress within the land. She admired the bold, she admired the daring and the powerful, all attributes which upheld the Torbine Empire where she had been born. All personality traits which the family of Archer had upheld. A number of women with the same lingering power within them had joined her ranks (Skana, Remy and Narcissa) to which Elettra favored in a manner that they may understand her actions and her judgement more then any other. Yes, Tempest, Kyrie and Narime were very kind to her, open and willing to hear her out, but they were as with her as they were with all, and Elettra's desires went deeper then simply hearing her out, but understanding her by a clear understanding of the situation in their own selves. Elettra had no shame in speaking her mind, whether kindly or cruelly. She had ever intention of striking down those who betrayed her and her pack mates, whether to the brick of death or not. None would escape her wrath where wrath was due and no questioning, judgmental look crossed the face of Narcissa in seeing her bloodied display when she had returned home from the battle. It brought about the woman much relief. Truth to be told, the pack was seemingly turning out more and more like a gynarchy, where dominant women as herself, Narcissa and Skana stood out amongst the men and more women seemed to be joining the ranks of of recently as she had yet find any males suitable. Narcissa's approach and lick caused a wave of her tail, very quick and light, a subtle movement of the tip which brushed at her ankles in the action. For quite some time, these licks to the chin often displayed in respect and/or submission caused Elettra to tense with obvious lack of comfort. Such acts were rarely displayed to her in Torbine, where royalty was not touched. It had taken some time getting used to, much of it with practice of Narime's affections to her. However, until this moment, no ounce of acceptance was shown towards the act until now. "How perfect." Elettra speaks on behalf of the woman's words - she was perfect. An ally at her side, a pack mate to be lucky to have and to cherish, protect and in turn, be offered the same good graces. "Lay with me?" Her question is given with a quirk of an invisible brow and her body turns, moving with a heavy limp towards the entrance of the pack's den. The opening is vast amongst the rocky formation and she turns to face the outside as she struggles to lay down properly just within. "Tell me of yourself, Narcissa. I'd like to know." Though Elettra had no intention to pry into the woman's past (never had Elettra demanded this of anyone and only knew what they had told her on their own. Her pack mates offered her the same respect, which is why little knew anything of her past) she still wanted to know of her: where she came from, how traveling was for her, what had she seen and what was her interests in life, goals, favored foods...anything and all. RE: and still die of old age - Elettra - Sep 04, 2013 woo! so many words! do show. :3 I swear if you could have two Lead females, Narcissa and Elettra would be it. XD [dohtml]
Narcissa accepted, just as Elettra had been hoping for, moving so that they comfortably sat with one another, yet not against one another as though a mated pair. Two prideful woman, what seemed as though both atop of their chain within the ranks, resting as the day past whilst others took to work: hunting, guarding, scout, and of course, caring for the three children within the pack that were growing far quicker then Elettra had been able to wrap her head around. Of course, though she had birthed a litter of pups before, motherhood was completely new to Elettra Archer and though she was happy her children no longer mewed at her side for everything they desired, as time passed and their independence grew, the mother was left to wonder how long she would have her children within her ranks and at her side before they too disappeared as many a wolf before them. When Narcissa questioned it was quick and simple, causing Elettra's silken black ears to perk, her eyes shifting from the scenery of her home to her newest pack member for but a moment. "I'm a cripple, Narcissa." She speaks, matter-of-factly with a smirk upon her grey rimmed lips as she does so. "I have much time to spare and though I have no intention to pry for what you do not wish to tell, I will take all that you offer me." After all, as said before, Elettra rarely ever asked of anyone's pasts, did not bother to ask for them but would hear them out should any of her pack mates offer it to her. She wished to know her pack members, to learn of what they liked and disliked, their quirks and the same for her to them. Still, each member was offered a clean slate within her pack when they arrived. There was a few whom had run off from not so well situations and if only with an sureness that they would not bring war down upon Willow Ridge, they were free to enter without question. Even Kasai, within her ranks, was truly a man named Hotei Tainn, a member to a very known family within Relic Lore and yet came here with a new name and a new start, much as the woman who was settled at her side now. |
