♔ Written In Scars - Maverick - Aug 31, 2013 [dohtml] It was late in the evening when the sun began its descend below the rugged terrain to darken the great land before it to return it to its usually nightly slumber. The eerie silence of the night faded as the grey sky above grew darker and darker. Small patches of stars began to show as a light gust of cool wind sent the summer leaves in a frenzy while low echos of rustling creatures and spooky sound could be heard faintly in the distance. The once lively earth below settled into the peaceful night as temperatures slowly dropped along with the brilliant sun. While wolves and other creatures would probably be heading in for the night, a fairly large sized creature trotted across the dense forest in a steady elegant stride as he swayed through the trees. His steps were careful as the lupus dark citrine digits flickered over the unsettled woods with uneasy, the unearthly silent calls sent a chill down his spine as another gust of wind rushed through the forest and trickled his thick fur. Ears twitched when a low moan was heard and a low growl rumbled in his chest, Maverick swift pace slowed while he tried to find the source of this noise. The black headed canine was lost once more, unfamiliar with the land he just happen to stumble on. His eyes shifted when he thought he saw a shadowy figure to his left, the four year old wolf halted as another low grumble rumbled deep within this chest and slipped out of his slightly parted muzzle. His dark colored withers stood on end while the male tried to find the creature that stalked him in the night. The lupus coal lips peeled back slightly to show his pearly canines as a deep snarl ripped through his throat, warm eyes darken as they followed the shadows in the distance. But as the shadowy figure closed in on the tensed black and deep golden lupus, Maverick huffed in frustration when a little fox appeared in a few strides before him.His expression fell into annoyance as the fox stopped when it saw the large wolf who observed it. The little canine's large ears erected, it stance tall, and tiny digits locked on Maverick cold gaze. With another furious snarl that ripped out of the canines throat and a challenging step forward, the fox darted away from the orange eyed creature its tail low and ears back. A satisfied smirk softly spread across the lupus blacken lips as he returned to his normal stance, head high with pride and tail up slightly curled towards his back as the battled worn wolf held his casually very confident stance. A softly chuckle came from the scared face creature before he returned to his pace of a casual stroll, unsure of really where he was heading being already lost in the forest weaving back and forth. RE: ♔ Written In Scars - Sagacity - Sep 03, 2013 OOC: This'll be SDS- Envy for Sage if ya don't mind :) [dohtml] Having spoken a few words to Mercy about her intentions, Sagacity set out on a small scout patrol to visit more territories and learn of any changes within the other packs in the area. She brief Mercy on the rules- he could leave the pack, but not the mountain, unless someone he knew was with him...And that someone had to be an adult, not Aponi or Nova, though she knew the former of the two would likely be the one wishing to roam. With the general understanding that she would be back when she would be back- only a matter of days, as it took time to travel even though he moved at a swift pace, she gave her son a kiss goodbye and set out.[/dohtml] RE: ♔ Written In Scars - Maverick - Sep 05, 2013 [dohtml] The forest was where the male was born and although not all forest are exactly the same, most are very similar and easy for him to navigate. But this one, this one seemed so unfamiliar to the canine. The trees towered over him like they dare to trap him as they created eerie shadows that seemed to be holding more than just forest creatures that live here. Bi colored nostrils flared intensely in the cool night air as lupus tried to in direction, any kind of direction to get out of these spooky woods. A thin yet thick grey fog lingered just above the ground to his eye level as Maverick leaped over a fallen dead trunk, landed gracefully before he continued his stroll weaving through the trees. The fox was the only thing he has seen sense the black headed canine entered the forest other than shadows that took a shape of other creatures. But when Maverick tried to confront them, they either disappeared or ran from him. But as he rounded a rather thick tree trunk, another shadow in the distance appeared. A low annoyed growl rumbled in the canine’s chest as his warm eyes gazed at the smaller shadow. It was bigger than the fox, yet not as tall as him. The basic outline looked to be another wolf, but this place was playing tricks on him and Maverick was not sure if his eyes seem correctly. “Hello,” the battled wore canine called out in his raspy masculine voice, “I am looking for a way out of this forest. Do you know the way out?” Maverick came to a light trot as he ducked his head under a low hung branch, the canine’s orange eyes watched the figure to see how the shadowy figured reacted. Will it vanish when he got closer or skedaddle like the rest? The lupus felt like an idiot, talking to shadows that don’t even exist and chasing them in hopes that they would lead him out of here. A grunt came from his throat and slipped out of his slightly parted muzzle as he cautiously approached the shadow, its figures becoming clear and clear. You can never be too careful, this could be something real and attack him. RE: ♔ Written In Scars - Sagacity - Sep 08, 2013 [dohtml] A flash of orange- and it became obvious that he'd caught sight of her, if only a glimpse. His gaze was slightly unfocused, but in the hazy line between day and night, it was incredibly hard to make out definite objects. So she stepped forward, drawn closer to this beast whose size and build further drew envy into her chest. Her pink tongue smoother the fur around her black lips as she gazed upon him, following the line of his neck, across his shoulders and down his forelegs then back to his face. He was an incredible piece of work, and she wondered if his coat would be passed on genetically...Naturally, as drawn to him as she was for his beauty, she found herself wondering if he might possibly be built from the materiel they sought in Nomad's Pass members. But she couldn't act too soon, and simply lead him home to her pack- not when she knew so little about him.[/dohtml] RE: ♔ Written In Scars - Maverick - Sep 09, 2013 [dohtml] Deep citrine irises flickered carefully over the shadowy figure in the distance as he moved in closer, his muscular shoulders and hips taking turns rising and falling with each stride he took while the lupus swayed through the forest brush. The male’s fluffy tail lowered its position from being high above his head, curled towards his back, to level out more with his back in hopes not to scare the creature that slowly took the form of a small canine. Dark ears kept their perched forward stance as he spoke to the creature in hopes that his was not a trick from the deceiving forest, his voice was friendly yet power and strength was clearly hidden in it. And as Maverick got closer, it was clear that his was no trick of his eyes or mind. Her golden eyes watched him as he almost towered over the female even at a few feets distance. His movements were fluid like he was floating rather than walking as a soft smile was present in his warm eyes. Maverick heard her musical voice and smelt her sweet feminine scent that ensured him this was real. The black and golden canine lowered his massive head in a small, yet honorable, bow to her as he strolled up next to the she wolf, side by side. It was very clear he was much taller than the female, yet Maverick did his best not to frighten her or appear to be over powering her as he followed her without even a second thought. “Thank you my dear,” his voice was smooth and his tone was honey warm as Rick easily kept up pace with the grey tone lupus. A moment of silence fell between them as Maverick tried to memorize the way out of this woodland in case he ever ended up here again, but it all looked that same and he soon gave up with his interest being more in the she wolf he traveled with. “As you may have already noticed my dear,” the scarred lupus spoke softly as his eyes glanced down at the female, “I am new to the area. I go by the name of Maverick. May I ask for the name of my savior from going insane in this forest?” A light chuckle sound came from the mixed wolf as he tried to break the silence between the two, his trot like grace was smooth as he waited to see if the female would talk back to him or just lead him in silence. RE: ♔ Written In Scars - Sagacity - Sep 11, 2013 ^Pour vous :) [dohtml] As he moved closer, Sagacity could afford to take a better look at the man without being so obvious about it. Even in the corner of her eye she could see the way the black fur of his head and neck faded and blended into the colour of golden wheat which covered his shoulders and body like a cloak, and the lighter touch of cornsilk which feathered his legs and underside. She could almost feel his strength as he moved alongside her, through the length of his stride and the supple movements of his shoulders beneath his thick pelt. There was something almost feline about how he carried himself, something silken and smooth. Thus Sagacity was given all the more reason to admire and envy the man, who truly looked like a work of poetry in motion.[/dohtml] RE: ♔ Written In Scars - Maverick - Sep 22, 2013 [dohtml] "Sagacity,” the male spoke delicately, a grin still appeared on his blacken lips, “What a lovely name for a lovely she wolf, no?” It was hard for the male to just ignore a lovely female such as this, or really any female. The lupus soft digits flickered over the grey toned female as they strolled through the dense forest. Although the lupus was small and slim in build, Sage had a rather appealing slenderness and almost dainty fame that made her ever more appearing to the male’s eyes. But yet as the canine traveled next to her, Maverick was crafty and did not let the female see he eyed her up. Instead, Maverick let a light chuckle came from him once more with amusement across his expression. “Savior it is then,” the scarred creature’s eyes shifted from her exquisite face to the forest around them. The dark shadows that once haunted him seemed have disappeared, or at least, no longer be around as the husky male easily kept pace with her. Was it all in his mind? Ears flickered when a light cool breeze sent the laves on the tree in a frenzy, the rustle made the male feel as if he was on edge but did his best to hide the annoyed alarm the buzzed in his head. “If you don’t mind me asking,” the canine spoke gently as his attention turned back onto his escort, “Where are you from my dear? Do you have family here?” It was rather simple question, yet it was once that could tell anyone more about themselves. Being new to the area, he has yet to meet anyone who has lived here or even traveled here. It would be nice to know at least more about the she wolf who has helped him out. RE: ♔ Written In Scars - Sagacity - Sep 22, 2013 [dohtml] How nice it must have been for him, a king of beauty, to live in such a gilded cloak. Surely, as a lone wolf, he must have come across better times simply because of his dashing looks, something Sagacity had never been able to cash in on. Even in the dim light he was a splendor to behold, and walking alongside such a magnificent specimen made Sagacity feel a bit prettier; surely, if someone who looked like him was willing to spend his time with a wolf, he wouldn't waste it on someone he didn't find somewhat attractive, at least. A wolf who looked like him could easily afford to surround himself with only the top rankers in the category of fit, handsome wolves.[/dohtml] |
