my body is adorned with thorns - Narcissa - Oct 14, 2013 @Aeolus [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: my body is adorned with thorns - Aeolus - Oct 14, 2013 [dohtml] Aeolus was not the kind of man to travel far from the pack he called home, but he felt he needed to get out of the chaos that he now called home. Sure, the pack was everything he hoped of, something to fill the void of losing his birth pack... but at the same time, he wasn't sure he could handle the psycho outbreaks and the suicidal pups that came with it. He took an oath no matter what, and he would stay with his pack unless he had special permission from his alphas or had a good reason. It had to be a really good reason to get him to leave. In any case, it was always good to get out at occasion, and he was sure that Ace wouldn't mind. Aeo loved the mountains, he always felt at peace, as if he could completely clear his mind and think about how he could improve himself and his skills. But his trip to the mountains, at least this time, would end in something he never expected... running into another wolf. He never liked confrontation with wolves whom he was completely unsure about, especially when he had no idea of the terrain. He remained cautious at best at all times. He narrowed his eyes as he padded along the borders of a deceased pack {not like he knew they had been there to start with} when he saw her. A wolf whom seemed to be lingering in his path of walking [yes, path of walking is a phrase]. He cleared his throat a bit to make his presence known. What was she doing there and why was she taking interest in that direct area? But when he was questioned, that was what really bothered him. Other than him being there, why would she think that he had lived there at any point in time. "I'm sorry ma'am, but I don't live here, never have." He told her honestly rather dully. Was there something that he was missing from everything? He couldn't help but wonder if she lived around here, perhaps she was just being protective of her territory. At the same time, there was a faint pack smell... maybe she left her pack and was looking for a new home. No, most wolves just stayed to their packs, especially with winter fast approaching. Aeo's fiery orange eyes couldn't help but examine the surroundings, he let himself calm down from his fur standing almost on end [in no way in a threatening way, just a bit of an unsure feeling] and he spoke once more. "Do you live here? I don't mean to intrude by any means." He asked her, making a note that he meant no harm. Sometimes wolves just had to be by themselves for a time, like whenever he left pack lands... well kind of like that. Sometimes you could be around packmates too much and you could get annoyed with them, making it so you absolutely need time off. But perhaps she was here on an assignment or for a different reason then simply clearing a head like he was doing. She had shaken her head, proclaiming that she did not live near the area, and she had said something to herself that he had not quite caught. She spoke of being from a pack that she called 'The Ridge'. He nodded, taking in the information, maybe some ally that could be made from this encounter. "I'm Aeolus Argyris, second in command in a pack named Pitch Pine Trail." He found no shame in telling her his pack, she didn't know where it was anyways. His eyes had a light in them, a soft light. But he didn't think too much of it. He had no idea why he hadn't introduced himself before hand, normally it was the first thing he did. His orange eyes decided to just hide ever emotion he had ever felt. Somehow the Ridge sounded vaguely familiar, but he decided to brush it off as perhaps a dream or something. He had run by a few packs outside the Lore that were probably what he was thinking about. He had personally never been west of the foothills that he stood on just then. He did decide that he was going to tell Ace or Silver about this pack though. They might come in handy some day. Though he hoped that Silver wouldn't mind, after all she was the pack scout, and he didn't want to be. He was more guardian material than anything. "Might I request a name to call you by?" He asked, rather formally. The name was unique, and not one that he had heard before this, but he liked it. "Quite nice to meet you too Narcissa of the Ridge..." He told her almost proudly, but that was just his natural and 'regal' side showing, he had no idea why he was being so proper about her. He figured it was just a defense mechanism because he had met a strange fae on the mountains who was talking about a pack who was no longer there. He figured that since her pack scent was faint, she was either a scout or she had been off pack lands for a while. He didn't ask her though, saw it as getting himself into more trouble that he had been in the past few weeks. The drama at the Trail was almost unbelievable. The pups were orphans of a runaway bride and a dead alpha male, and one of them was suicidal. He had never met the other one, but he had briefly seen her in the pack den at nights, that was when he went to the pack den. He was always patrolling to keep up with protection to make sure no wolf got the wrong idea about trespassing. He had an OCD about keeping things secure, after all if he saw some pup wandering around near the borders he ordered them away, not willing to let them off the territory at all, even with Ace's permission. It was like a DIATHESIS that he had. RE: my body is adorned with thorns - Narcissa - Dec 07, 2013 [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: my body is adorned with thorns - Aeolus - Dec 19, 2013 [dohtml] And the masquerade At the mess you've made Content he was, Pitch Pine Trail was an amazing place for him, so he offered a nod of his head and a brief, friendly smile. She mentioned never having been to the Trail, and Aeo understood why. "Pitch Pine Trail is located in a fen, not many have been there because it is a rather damp place." He said with a small and awkward chuckle. "My pack, my home, everything about Pitch Pine Trail is right for me though. I am very content in my pack. Speaking of which, I must be departing now. I have borders I need to get back to guarding. Perhaps you should stop by sometime?" He offered to the scout who was probably curious for more information as to who led his pack. Who knew, maybe the packs could ally. If Aeo had known that it was her alpha that had led Shade to his death, the meeting would have been very different. Aeolus never met Shade, but he had heard good things about him from everyone in the pack, especially his children. He gave a dip of his head in farewell to the lady. "Until we meet again Miss Narcissa." He said with sincerity in his voice. He had no doubt that they might meet again. After he started to walk away, it occurred to him that her behavior had been almost flirtatious. But surely it was not so, he was nothing to be desired. The Argyris male was never really into the whole 'finding you true love' thing because he did not think there was a wolf out there for him. He left those politics to his brothers. -FADE SINCE KIRA LEFT GAME- |
