Like a bat out of hell - Neoma - Oct 31, 2013 Ooc: This will be just before Neoma goes to join PPT obviously. [dohtml]
Her chosen spot for the night provided just enough cover for her, an old large tree that had fallen over with one end landing on a boulder. There had been enough room for her to fit under and as she pulled herself from under it, she shook out her fur and stretched. Yet as she moved to stand up, something strange happened.
It came out of no where, the only warning that she had was its screeching before something smacked right into her head. Since the hit caught her unawares, it caused her to yelp in alarm and stumble slightly but she managed to catch herself. Looking around, it was discovered that a bat had knocked into her. It was struggling to get back up into the air, crying out in distress. Neoma stated at it coolly, noting that its wing was broken.
Squeaking loudly in protest at being on the ground, it attempted to crawl around away from Neoma, sensing danger. Neoma stared at it, slightly annoyed at the bat for landing on her head and wondering what she should do to it. It was then her stomach chose to rumbled slightly, alerting her that she had yet to eat anything.
With a few quick snaps, the bat had managed to let out one last squeak before it disappeared down Neoma’s throat. What could she say? It had a broken wing after all and surely wouldn’t survive. Not to mention the dark fae was hungry. A bat, no matter how small it had been was a good enough snack to satisfy her. Licking her lips, Neoma looked up at the sky, noting it was partly cloudy. Flicking her ears, she wondered where to go. Winter was growing ever nearer and though her temporary den was suitable for now, it wouldn't do for winter. Table by PuppyThief [/dohtml] |
