A Shrouded Land (Also AW) - Lalani - Nov 11, 2013 [dohtml]
RE: A Shrouded Land (Also AW) - Inali - Jan 04, 2014 I don't know how I feel about this post :p @Hati @Lalani @Narimé [dohtml] She didn't remember how long it was since her and the old man had so much alone time. It was good and bad, she could say. They kept each other entertained, but also annoyed the hell out of each other. Actually, she guessed that 'annoying' part went directly with the 'entertaining' part. But still, it wasn't such a good combination. Usually, she enjoyed Tokino's company, but his always 'snarky, wise as ever' attitude, combined with the worry she knew they both felt for Titan, the missing pup, it had been one long day of travel from Southern Eden to The Heart of Relic Lore. Titan had been missing for she didn't even know how long, and Inali was more then worried. She guessed he left right about the time that Narime had taken her temporary leave. It had been the longest time so far that the mother had left her children. He probably felt the need to go look for her. The woman sighed, keeping her muzzle to the ground, trying to find something that would lead her to the boy. When she got her paws on him, oooh, all hell would break loose. Now, they were walking into a land that Inali herself had never passed through. She may have passed it briefly when she entered Relic Lore, but she couldn't remember. She was about to ask Tokino if he caught a whiff of something, when two things hit her. Figuratively speaking, of course. First, the scent of a deer herd. And then, the voice of a young girl. "I really wish I wasn't so alone out here." Curious as to the woman was talking to, since she only scented the herd, Inali swiftly made her entrance, casting a quick glance to Tokino's way so that he could follow her. They could take a break before continuing their search. Maybe this girl would have a clue of Titan's whereabouts? Her nimble body weaved across the earth to reach the girl. She had come from behind, her feet silent, so the girl hopefully wouldn't have a chance to hear her approach. "Uh, miss. Who are you talking to?," her words directed to the girl with the dark coat, waiting her reaction. RE: A Shrouded Land (Also AW) - Lalani - Jan 05, 2014 (I love how one of you calls her a girl while the other calls her a woman XD) Lalani continued to glare at the deer, but it didn't seem all that fazed by her threat. Lone wolves had trouble trying to take down any substantial prey, and she wasn't an exception to that rule. Lalani tried to remind herself that the deer had a smaller brain than she did and therefore was too stupid to be worthy of her irritation. But this buck was serioulsy getting on her nerves. The food was right there in front of her, and there wasnt much she could do about it. It also didn't help as the deer seemed to think that he was single handedly keeping her at bay. She was just about to dart forward and scare them a bit when she smelled something. It wasn't the same musky scent that surrounded the deer. *Wolves* Lalani couldn't tell exactly how many there were. While there were two dominent scents, fainter ones seemed to be mixed in with them. She gave a mental grown. They had to be PACK wolves. She glanced around. Had she somehow missed the scent markers and trespassed on a pack's territory? Were they coming for her? She didn't think so. This time, she hadn't done anything wrong. The world had a funny way of working. She didn't want to be alone and so it sent some pack wolves after her. She waited as she heard their paw steps approach. The deer had also scented them and bolted only about a hundred feet. *They really are brave when they're hungry.* A red female stepped through first and was followed by a large gray male that hovered protectively. Protective but not possesive. *So they aren't mates then...* The deer watched the two female wolves closely as they interacted. "Uh, miss, who are you talking to?" Lalani considered the question. She was polite then. Her hackles smoothed slightly. She was still tense but figured that if the female could be civil to a stranger than she could be too. The male must have decided she wasn't a threat because he wandered off in the direction she had been heading. Not far away, she saw him hunker down and it was accompanied by the sounds of scraping and cracking. Lani mentally berrated herself. If she had just gone a little farther she would have found the prize herself. *Stupid!* "I was talking to them." She tilted her ears in the herds direction. "Who are you?" Lani asked suspiciously. She tried to keep her tone on the warmer side, considering that female was perfectly civil so far. *I haven't don't anything wrong.* She realized the deer had gone back to their digging since the wolves were in fact, not hunting them. RE: A Shrouded Land (Also AW) - Tokino - Jan 12, 2014 [dohtml]
RE: A Shrouded Land (Also AW) - Lalani - Jan 12, 2014 The strange female glanced at the deer before she looked away, quickly dismissing them. *I suppose she doesn't have to worry much about hunger being a pack wolf.* The stranger's gaze moved back to Lani and studdied her, no doubt sizing her up. Lani knew she was younger and less experianced but that didn't mean sh wouldn't fight if she had too. *Lets hope it doesn't come to that.* She thought as her gaze traveled from the female to the male. Lani wasn't sure she could win a fight with one, let alone both of them. The female wasn't likely to miss Lani's standoffish stance. Though she was suspicious, she was willing to give the female a chance. She had been nice enough so far. The female began to introduce herself. So Lani had been right. They were pack wolves. The name Wisper Caverns meant nothing to her though. She neednt have worried, for the female continued to explain. A days travel away? What were these wolves doing so far from their boundaries? Lani glanced between them again. She didn't have any idea why these wolves would travel so far, other than maybe to gain more territory. She wanted to give into the females kind behavior but Lani wasn't stupid enough for something like that. She had learned not to trust anyone unless they had earned it. So Lani was content to continue the way she was and see what would happen. The male finished with the bones he had been chewing and stood. He seemed to be digging in the ice. *Must be looking for more bones to suck dry." She was proven right as he pulled a large leg bone from the snow. She could actually spot some darker chunks still attached to the bone. *Is that meat?* Her stomach grumbled slightly as she thought about the meat. The male lifted the bone and carried it back in their direction. When he arrived, he tossed the bone to her feet. Lani was stunned. Why? He gestured to the bone and sat down. Unwilling to look away from the strangers, Lani reached out with one paw and dragged the bone towards her. When the bone was safely tucked cloe to her, she responded to the female's earlier question. "My name is Lalani. I don't belong to a pack." |
