The preservation of the martyr in me - Psychosocial [ACT II] - Karpos - Dec 02, 2013 Ghost and I shall continue on [dohtml] Karpos was calm, yet his tail wagged furiously as Mrs. Naira took him into her pack. Nicest. Lady. Ever. He thought to himself, knowing that he was not the only pup to be taken in by her. She couldn't help but smile when she called for Aponi. One of his only friends, maybe he would make more friends here. He still couldn't get Aponi out of his mind. "Thank you so much Mrs. Naira!" He called out before she walked away. He followed her for a time, then he caught the scent of Aponi and he started to follow that. Curiosity was his best friend, it had also gotten him into a boat load of trouble. So he was a pup of the Pass now? Was joining really that simple?
Karp was nervous, wondering if Aponi would recognize him when he found her. After all, the forest had been dark and rather dreary. He tried his best to follow her scent in the snow, his small frame allowed the snow to be higher up on him. His paws were buried in it, up to about his quarter leg [between 1/2 leg and paws] which was a scary thing to him. there was a lot of snow in the mountains. He however, was not going to complain because he would get use to it and it was his home now. Mrs. Naira was nice enough to take him in, and he was nothing if not adaptable. His eyes filled with pride. But then he realized something, Aponi's dad might not be as nice. The scent was more recent now. "Aponi?" RE: The preservation of the martyr in me - Psychosocial - Karpos - Dec 04, 2013 [dohtml] Karpos felt the air leave his body for a slight moment as he was hit into the snow, he laughed along with her. His voice had raised a bit since they had last spoken, then fallen back down to its original pitch. His voice had cracked, probably the high altitude that he wasn't use to. "Hi Aponi!" He said with an excited tone. She had no idea how happy he was to see her. He batted playfully at her ear, and then realized he was squishing the princess. No one likes a squished princess. He thought with a devious smile. He got off of her. "Your ma just let me into the pack. Said you would give me a tour of the territory." He said with a laugh.
He was with her, and he forgot about the abandonment, the deaths and the tragedy that had plagued his life. She was all he could focus on, and he was alright with that. He suddenly froze, his nose picking up a strong scent of something. He wasn't sure what it was. "Follow me, do ya smell that?" He asked the princess as he started towards what he would find to be a deer carcass with some meat left on it. His tail was wagging ferociously. He was with Princess Aponi on the lands of the Pass. It almost seemed like a dream, but it wasn't. It was heaven on earth, it was freedom. He loved Pitch Pine Trail, but here he was free.
His eyes lit up when he saw the food. "Fooooooooooooood." He said looking at Aponi. Ladies first after all... NOMADS Pass RE: The preservation of the martyr in me - Psychosocial [ACT II] - Aponi - Dec 07, 2013 [dohtml]
RE: The preservation of the martyr in me - Psychosocial [ACT II] - Karpos - Dec 07, 2013 [dohtml] Karpos had a goofy grin to him when he was with Aponi, that was just how it was. He let her eat first and she devoured some of it, he grinned and joined her when she motioned for him too. He took off a part and chewed it, the snow reached to his upper leg {thigh} and the bottom of his belly. He was larger than Aponi, if only by a little. When the deer had been picked apart, he looked to Aponi. "So where should we start Princess Aponi?" He asked playfully about the tour. He was sure that the territory was probably vast and unyielding. It would take forever to learn it like it took in Pitch Pine Trail. But he felt more at home where he was than he had ever felt in Pitch Pine Trail.
He was free here.
He gave a grin and started to sniff around the snow, he grabbed a mouthful and let it melt to water in his mouth. His muzzle covered it little flakes of melting snow. Aponi was that same wolf that he had run into in the dark woods he was born in. He felt like he could relate to her and that they were best friends already. He began to wonder if Silver was right and he was experiencing young love or true love or whatever it was she said. 'Often your best friend is the right wolf for you.' Only time would tell with them, and if it was anything, than Karp would take it slow. His father had taken it fast and it left him heartbroken with two motherless pups. RE: The preservation of the martyr in me - Psychosocial [ACT II] - Karpos - Dec 07, 2013 [dohtml] Karpos grinned and ran after the princess when he was ordered to follow her. His running slowed down just as Aponi had with him tripping on the now and falling face first into the cold. He stood up, his face flushed with embarrassment as he continued after her. By the time he caught up to her completely, they were at the destination. The highest point, where the waterfall crested over the sheer bluff and plunged down into the stream bellow, roaring as it went. To either side of them mountains stretched out, below the lake gleamed and intricate paths were carved through the snow by the Pass wolves. For miles you could see forest, see the snow capped trees and frozen rivers. They were at Aponi's kingdom. "It's beautiful Aponi, breathtaking in all its glory." Just like you. He was too shy to say it out loud, so he told himself silently.
He took his time to take in the view. The majestic view of the entire kingdom in his eyes. Mile upon smiles of sight, a lake was down there. He looked up towards where the stars would be. He realized that when he was younger he thought so foolishly that the stars could be touched. Only one could in his mind, it was the star, or the angel, that had fallen from the sky. That was his view of her when he first met her, and he held it now. An angel. He was too shy to admit it, even in his own mind where he was safe. "Do you come up here a lot Princess Aponi?" He asked, feeling like he had to call her princess. He was not of royal blood in this pack. He was a vagabond, a longer, a gypsy who took a role in a pack. He was a commoner, but that was alright. He was a prince in his heart. He was free. NOMADS Pass RE: The preservation of the martyr in me - Psychosocial [ACT II] - Aponi - Jan 22, 2014 [dohtml]
RE: The preservation of the martyr in me - Psychosocial [ACT II] - Karpos - Jan 23, 2014 [dohtml] everything that kills me makes me feel alive Karp could help but be troubled when she had said 'I used to'. Why had she stopped needing to come to such a wonderful place. He gazed over the edge at the currents below and a grin grew wider. She mentioned all the land being hers one day and he looked at her. Her brother had abandoned his siblings and his mother. That was rude, disrespectful and unloyal. If Karpos ever met this 'Datura' than surely bad things would happen. Aponi seemed to be sad... or nervous. Karp was never really good with telling emotions or finding them in others so he figured maybe it had to do with talking about her brother. "Your brother doesn't deserve to be here if he just up and left you." He whispered softly to her with a comforting smile. When he was up here with here he began to forget. Forgetting was the best thing that could have happened to him. He forgot about all the pain and loss in his life. He did not ponder why the woman named Elettra had murdered his father. His thoughts were focused on the future queen of Nomad's Pass. He was happy to be there with her and he knew in his heart that he had been wise to visit Aponi. The hopefully future guardian gave a grin. Although he did love the place on the mountains where they were he wanted to see all of her home. He wanted her to experience it and maybe one day he would get to show her his former home. "Where to next?" |
