Midnight Sun - Aeolus - Dec 05, 2013 [Penny would be in Aeo's join thread since they are travelling and joining together? Regardless I think they need a thread here before their join thread :D] [dohtml] And the masquerade At the mess you've made He was looking for them still, the pack that he wanted to join. Anastasia and Lachesis needed to know what happened and then there was that himself and @Penny needed a pack to call home. He was glad that she had decided to follow him, she was a good friend even if their conversations had been brief and not about them in particular. He took in a deep breathe of the air, he and Penny had made it over the mountains before the storm struck. They were stuck on the lands to the west of the mountains and he was alright with that. "Penny, I feel like we're getting closer. Any idea about this side of the mountain?" He asked her, his baritone voice carrying over the forest they stood in. He looked at the black coated female, his orange eyes gazing then around the forest for some sign of the pack. He had followed extremely faint scents of Ana and Lachesis. The fact that Penny knew Lach helped him somewhat in their search. "Why don't we stop here for the night and start searching tomorrow morning?" He asked gazing at the midnight moon, a crescent moon in the sky. He was tired from a day of venturing and he wanted to get to know Penny more since they were traveling together and were friends. She would, hopefully soon, be considered a packmate. Though Aeo considered her a packmate when she helped him with the crows that one day. The heart of a Pitch Pine Wolf, helping someone in need. RE: Midnight Sun - Penny - Dec 05, 2013 :D Yep! Thanks for starting this! [dohtml] Truth be told, while Penny had hoped to join a pack before this point, she didn't mind at all that she was now in search of another one- considering that Aeolus was with her, and he'd been the one to entice her to join a pack to begin with. Furthermore, he had an idea of where Lachesis lived, and this in and of itself was enough reason for her to follow along with him. She didn't have to choose between her friends, this way- she could live with both Aeolus and Lachesis, providing they were permitted to join the pack. From what she could tell, Aeolus was on good terms with the wolves in the pack they were travelling to- as long as they'd take her in too, she had no reservations about following his lead.
Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Dec 05, 2013 [dohtml] Look Out!A young pronghorn has fallen behind its herd and starved in the snow. +5 Health [/dohtml]RE: Midnight Sun - Aeolus - Dec 11, 2013 [dohtml] And the masquerade At the mess you've made Aeolus gave Pigpen a smile and nodded, but he wondered if there were any trees to take shelter under. "Sure thing, but first..." He trailed his words off when he had caught the scent of the pronghorn. He followed the scent and smiled. Freshly dead, starved in the snow. Enough to give them some food! He sniffed around and then called for Penny. "We need to eat first thar Penny!" He had called out to her, though he wasn't too far away from her. He looked up at the places above him. Trees and then the beautiful sky. The moon was as radiant as a midnight sun. A small smile inside him as he thought about the sky. He was completely off his tracks of though of course. Sadness filled him when he realized that Silver and Adsila might have gotten trapped on the other side of the mountain. They were trapped on the side that they were on. He couldn't get past the mountain even if he wanted to. He hoped that his search would end very soon and he could find a pack to shelter Penny and himself for a good long while. There was no more Pitch Pine Trail, he could never go to Magnolia Glen, for his devil brother led it up. He had no idea about what other packs were in the area. He cursed to himself, a glum expression as he took a few bites of the deer. "I ought to go find a tree." He said, as an offer to scout for a place as she ate. He started walking to find a tree that could shelter at least Penny. RE: Midnight Sun - Penny - Dec 11, 2013 [dohtml] Penny's face fell a bit when Aeolus began to speak, thinking that he was about to suggest they go a bit further. She was quite tired and didn't particularly want to shove her way through the snow anymore- but when she watched him tracking, her hopes grew. She knew that look- that was the look a wolf got when they caught the scent of something, and her stomach gave a growl, urging her to trot after him, only to pick up the scent just after he unearthed the frozen pronghorn- it couldn't have been very old, but it was enough to make a good meal for both of them. Out of appreciation and respect for the man who was not only taking her to a new pack but making sure she stayed fed and warm as well, she moved first to lick his cheek, tucking her ears back and tail down to show her appreciation. He was quite a leader, in her eyes.
RE: Midnight Sun - Aeolus - Dec 20, 2013 [[Sorry this took so long!]] [dohtml]
Aeolus had a small smile to him, she was not a very taciturn female now was she? She spoke of being a cuddler and that the spot didn't need to be too big. He gave a small chuckle and started to speak. "Now now Penny, its worth the trouble if we can both fit in and sit comfortably in a tree." He pointed out, an edge of protectiveness in his voice. He had no idea where it had come from, it just had. He scouted out the terrain, his eyes scanning over every tree, sometimes if he thought he saw a spot he went in closer/ Eventually he found a dip near one of the trees. Curiosity struck and he went after it, finding a place big enough for them to stay for the night.
"This should work, should work indeed." He whispered to himself and he ran back to the last place he had seen Pigpen. "''Ey Penny, I found a spot!" He offered up with a smile on his face as he started off slowly to the decently sheltered spot in one of the trees in the magnificent forest. His orange eyes had a slight tint, a sparkle if you will, to them. Alright, so we can rest tonight and find Lachesis and Anastasia tomorrow. I've never met Lachesis, and surely Ana won't be too happy that I have no idea where Adsila is, but they need to know. Whats more is that they have a pack, and I need a pack. They both needed a pack.
RE: Midnight Sun - Penny - Jan 04, 2014 *flails* me too! [dohtml] Fortunately for Penny, who had little to speak of when it came to a filter between her brain and her mouth, Aeolus didn't take offense, nor was he weirded out by her comment. It was a joke, but there was some truth in it as well- Penny liked nothing more than snuggling up with a friend to keep warm at night in the winter. She'd grown up in a family pack full of very touchy, cuddly wolves and had simply come to believe that physical contact was an important part of a relationship, and not something that should necessary come between one and a friend- not even one who was still only a bit more than an acquaintance. In Penny's opinion, she and Aeolus were tight enough already to cuddle.
RE: Midnight Sun - Aeolus - Jan 06, 2014 [dohtml] Aeolus offered a smile as Penny examined the makeshift living area. His eyes focused on the place they were sleeping for the night and he was satisfied with himself. It would do, and hopefully he would get them to the borders of whatever pack Lachesis and Anastasia were staying at by the next night. Hopefully they would have a home! Aeolus thought about her question as she asked it and he responded the response any guardian would give. "Outside." His tone was confident and well thought out as he awaited Penny to get comfortable. The forest seemed interesting to him, his eyes calmed as he examined the area. He wanted to make sure that there weren't any predators or other wolves {most likely pack wolves} trying to sneak up on them.[/dohtml] |
