Nina and Hollow please!
[dohtml]
This winter seemed much colder than he remembered from last year. The snow fall was continuous, coming down in a lighter flurry than the day he'd arrived to Relic Lore but it was coming down none stop all the same, therefore his paw prints had disappeared from the night before. His memory was failing him, despite his amnesia growing better, and he relied on triggers to lead him home, though the snow made it much harder to remember the path leading to Secret Woodlands. How was he supposed to get home if he could not recall how?
He could do nothing but rely now on his five senses. Lowering his skull to the ground, he inhaled deeply with hopes of catching his scent through the fresh layer of snow, but moving himself a few paces forward had lead him no where; perhaps he had gone too far from his trail. He lifted his square skull from the ground, fixing his eyes in the distance with hopes that somehow, something would trigger his memory, he only needed a marker...BAM! It hit him, hard. Through the cloud of falling snow he caught sight of a small bush, its shape was different than the others, and he could remember wondering to himself why it was not like the rest. This was his marker, it was his key back home!
His thick paws moved quickly toward it, and upon reaching it, he rubbed the hairs of his coat against it to leave behind his scent, and lifted his leg to freshen the urine stream he had left just yesterday. Upon finishing, he moved forward on the invincible trail familiar to his memory. Within an hour he was near the border of Secret Woodlands, and his heart began to leap in his chest from excitement. He could not believe that he had made it back home from memory--he could only hope that upon finding a medic, he could treat his illness. Nina! he howled into the wind, catching the snow littered trees of his home in the distance, he was sure that his mate would recognize his voice better than any others, I'm back baby, I'm home! he howled a second time, this one much longer than the other. He only hoped that she too had not left Secret Woodlands without notice. [/dohtml]
RE: I AM your future - Miccah - Dec 21, 2013
Finally, I get to post an angry Miccah xD
[dohtml]
Miccah was patrolling the borders as usual, leaving his scent every couple of feet. Either by a stream of urine, or by pawing up a tree here and there. The days were getting colder, constantly dropping below freezing. But it was no biggie to the large specimen. His silky black coat was thick, and kept his body clothed in a blanket of warmth...most of the time.
He caught the scent of the male before his ludicrous howl pierced the sky. Who the hell did this man think he was? Had he not learned as a child, that a lady should not be called upon in that manner? Especially a Queen as dignified as Nina Reiner. He didn't speak like that to Ashanti, and he loved sweet talking her. A low growl rumbling through his chest as he followed the scent of the man.
As his body weaved comfortably through the thickets, his thoughts grew even angrier as he noticed something else of the stranger. Not only had he given Miccah a horrible first impression, but the man marked his borders like they were his own?!
His coat-the color of night-was a stark contrast to the pure white snow his paws were currently plowing through. As he made an appearance in front of the man. Miccah's fur bristled. The fur on his neck rose. a warning of his rising anger. A side of his muzzle pulled upwards, revealing a gleaming fang. "May I ask who the fuck you think you are?," he rumbled in his deep baritone. His tail lifted naturally, making sure that the man noticed his high ranking position. Waiting impatiently for this stranger to show submission, the usually kind man wondered how long it would take for his alphas to appear.

RE: I AM your future - Nina - Dec 22, 2013
[dohtml]
As of the past week, things had been going smoothly for Secret Woodlands. No other loners had come to their borders and Nina had taken a day off to spend time with her only daughter. Things were definitely brightening up for them. @Hollow lead dutifully by her side and everyone was finally adjusting to the new normal. This winter was going to be hard on them, and the bitter cold that ruffled her fur just reminded her of such. Nina had faith that if they all stuck together, then they would be able to make it through everything. Something was throwing Nina off her track though, when the most familiar, heartwarming sound called to her. Frozen in place, Nina turned on her heel slightly, her breath coming in shallow breaths. Could it really be…him? After all these months where she had been guessing and defending his recovery, he had finally returned? Why during the winter though, when everything was always so chaotic, didn’t he know her better than that?
She knew that she didn’t care though, he was returning to them from his long disappearance. Nina briefly pondered if @Ashton or @Danica could recognize their father’s voice as well as she had, but threw the thought away and she sent out a sharp bark for Hollow as she sprinted off into the direction that she had heard her mate’s call. As she was arriving, she heard the nasty words that one of the newest members of the pack spoke to her mate. Angry at him for being so rude, she made herself look taller, but graceful in the act of doing so as she stepped out of the shadows. Clearing her throat from behind her subordinate, she spoke sternly, shaming him in the process, <b style="color:#008080">”Pardon your language, Miccah, that would be my mate you a speaking to.” That and the fact that her children could be nearby and listening to this kind of language was not acceptable. Even though Koda had returned, she fully expected both Miccah and Koda to submit to her. These were still her lands…and now they were Hollow’s too.

RE: I AM your future - Koda - Dec 23, 2013
Koda marked a bush that was a mile from the borders, but hello Miccah :D Nina has Koda lost for words, he doesnt know what to do!
[dohtml]
He paused just short of the border to Secret Woodlands, the pack he had helped lead a few months prior, and paced back and forth like a mad man in wait of Nina's appearance. He couldn't wait to see her face and the expression she'd give from his return, the mere thought made his heart leap within his chest--inhaling deeply, he sought to calm himself. He had to keep his emotions in check, there was no room for errors so quickly upon his return. The crunch of snow beneath his feet echoed in the distance as his wait for company came close to an end, and he stopped in mid stride upon the sight of a dark figure in the distance. Miccah's appearance made his brow furrow in confusion, his honey hued eyes narrowed in an attempt to connect this figure with a name but none crossed his memory--he supposed then that this wolf was not one he'd met before.
He was cautious upon Miccah's approach, his gaze following the younger male's every move, and they narrowed further when the males words reached his ears. Had he heard him correctly? Did Miccah just curse at him, asking him who he thought he was? This male was cocky, and nothing like the wolves he'd known to reside in Secret Woodlands. He assumed that the brash male was some kind of guardian in training, eager to protect the border from strangers, and he was understanding of this fact, but only so slightly. "Watch your tongue," he voiced, lowering his ears to his skull and flashing the off-white color of his teeth with a growl in the same instance. He may not be have been a member of the pack though he was much older than this wolf, and deserved to be treated as one would their elder--especially one that had been a leader of this pack.
Seconds after the words left his lips he heard Nina's howl in the wind, she was calling Hollow into the vicinity and he immediately assumed that this wolf was who had replaced him in his absence. He understood the way the pack worked, and the importance of leadership approval in the decision of a loners acceptance into the pack. He only hoped the male would be as excited to see him again as he knew Nina would. When he caught sight of her a lump formed in his throat, he couldn't believe how well time was treating her, she was as beautiful as the day he'd left. His focus on the younger male had diminished despite her need to address his harsh tongue--which was appreciated. He dipped his head, feeling his tail brush lightly between his legs in respect to the alpha of Secret Woods, "Nina...I..." he was lost for words, resulting only to keep his head low in hopes that she would approach him, or give him the signal to nuzzle her neck affectionately.

RE: I AM your future - Miccah - Dec 23, 2013
Darn, I knew I misinterpreted something! Sorry, Hero, and nice to meet you! :D
[dohtml]
It didn't take long for his queen to appear on the scene. And only to berate him, and to inform that the man who was standing in front of him, was her mate.
His eyes closed tightly, inwardly cursing himself every name in the book. Why did he let his anger get the best of him? Why couldn't he be his usual polite self, and leave this meeting with nothing other than a smile? Because he was a stupid fucker, that's why.
His eyes were now open, his blue orbs showing his regret. He wasted no time in showing his queen submission. His legs bent, his belly was to the ground, his tail tucked between his legs. He practically showed complete submission, the only thing he had to do was to roll on his back. Which was not going to happen. Or at least he hoped that it didn't have to come to that.
The man spoke his piece as he too showed submission and warned Miccah. But how was he supposed to know that that was her mate? He couldn't, but it still wasn't an excuse to be so rude. His mother had taught him better, after all.
Opening his maw, he spoke in a submissive matter. "I apologize for my rudeness Miss Nina." But that wasn't the only person he had to apologize to. Standing from his position, he looked at the man and nodded in a apologetic, polite manner. "I apologize to you as well...Sir," he added as an afterthought.
The man then stayed silent. Now it was time to be silent and wait this meeting out, speaking when only spoken to. He was a Guardian, and his duty was to protect, not to make the decision. The decision for this man to be accepted back into the pack was not to him. The bulky man was glad to fade into the woodwork.

RE: I AM your future - Danica - Dec 23, 2013
(Time for another rude sentence....)
When the call echoed out over the lands she hadn't recognized her own father's voice, instead she felt fury. Who had the right to speak to her mother like that? Determined to find out which one of Earth's souls did she left her small snack from the cache uneaten. Dani's body rose up hastily and large paws plopped on the ground in turn as she trotted towards the howl. *This should be very interesting.* She thought pushing through the snow when it began to rise to her chest.
When she had met her destination all anger had ebbed away into a sickly nervous sensation. With fearful eyes her breath hitched before becoming normal. She was glued to the familiar stranger, looking him paw to head. *Daddy?* The innocent thought filled her mind. At the sight of this wolf she had even forgotten the new word which was obviously bad. Shakily she stepped from the trees she had been hidden in to reveal herself. Her over sized ears lifted as the question left her mouth, "D-dad?" Her brain began to churn as her lips, in a absent minded way, momentarily lifted in aggression.
Dropping it like a bombshell she said to him, "I blame you for my brother's death, If you had been here-" She stopped her shaky voice as emotions bubbled up. Darting to her mother's side she pushed her head into her fur gently. She may have let go and understood it all, but she still had a right to be hurt. When realization of how mean she had been towards her father, not daddy, she felt a fresh fear. One of punishment. Glancing to him she shyly spoke, "I'm sorry for being rude." Though she tried to act sincere as possible it showed she wasn't. If it had been she wouldn't of been able to look him straight in the eyes, but instead at his paws shamefully.
(Ugh, sorry for going out of character there. I wasn't sure how she should react so I had her pull the blame card.)
RE: I AM your future - Hollow - Dec 26, 2013

Hollow had heard Koda, he heard Nina, he heard Miccah, and even little Danica. His stealth at lent him that, he had been close by at the ex-leader's arrival. But instead of making himself shown, Hollow made an exit and a loop around, to approach from behind so that Koda would see him full in the face. It was also so that Hollow could shake the dagger that was piercing his heart now, First Ashanti gets her love back, Now Nina, it was all surrounding his loss. Hollow had to watch calmly as everything kicked him while he lay there. Proverbially struggling for a foothold, where no amount of comfort would soothe. Nothing could help him and he knew it. So he would move through the trees and put on a face for the wolves gathered there.
"Koda, I did not know that you would ever return to us." His voice was level, nonthreatening, but it was also cold as ice. The current leader was making sure that the former felt his betrayal. Hollow wanted for Koda to feel the weight that was upon his shoulders, to feel his family settling across another male's back. The pups knew more of Hollow than of Koda. Hollow wanted for him to see it, to see what he had done, Hollow's blue orbs burned and the green ring appeared to glint like emerald in harsh winter sunlight. It was a challenge, So you think your family will ever be truly yours again? Those pups will never be mended. Hollow nearly raged at the male but he kept his mouth shut and waited in the coldest air, that seemed to radiate out from him.

Koda was also quick to bite back at Miccah’s language, and though she was thankful that he still knew her well enough to do so, she felt the angry that he dare speak to her pack mate in such a way after he had been gone for so long. None the less, she said nothing her gaze falling upon Miccah as he spoke to her. With the anger that was already consuming her the woman let her lips drawback to expose her canines, her words flying past her lips in a hiss, <b style="color:#008080">”It’s Lady Nina to you.” Realizing how cruel her words were, she snapped her jaws shut and returned her single eyed gaze to her former absentee mate. She didn’t wish to be here alone; she wanted someone here who could comfort her. When Koda addressed her again, she lifted her gaze to his eyes, their golden color reflecting back to her in a comforting manner. He said no more though and she was momentarily shocked when she heard their daughter’s cry from behind her. Tilting her head slightly, she refrained from flinching the with girl’s words; so innocent, but so foolish. Now was not the time to address her father with the news of his son’s death, but she could do nothing to stop the chain reaction that was soon to come from it.
She tensed slightly when her daughter darted under her, though her senses had improved due to her blindness, she was not use to her daughter darting to her blind side. Once she realized that there was no danger, she relaxed though, wondering briefly where Hollow would be. He should have been by her side by now, and the lack of his presence did nothing to calm her frying nerves. Her Guardian was there though, but when he arrived, the usually slide up on her blind side did not come and she felt the loss of presence and it made her uncomfortable. Swallowing slightly, the question that had been boiling in her mind was spoken and she looked on expectantly, hoping that soon, her current partner would slide up to her side and comfort her with his presence. Knowing that he was on her blind side, usually did much to help calm her nerves in situations at the border and the fact that now her mate was standing at their borders after so long, just reminded her of how heavy this encounter would be on her, mentally. She also kept in mind the well-being of Hollow and remembering that he too had lost but his love had yet to be found.

Miccah had gone unnoticed, so too did his apology. Though the tawny male was aware of his presence and the importance he played for the pack, the dark male's company paled in comparison to his beautiful mate, despite the wound that covered her eye. He saw no flaw, she was just as amazing as the day he'd met her, blind or not, and the very aurora that surrounded her sent chills through his body, she commanded attention (despite being the alpha) and he couldn't take his eyes from her. Her gaze was as green as the summer grass, alive with emotion, but it was hard for him to shake the notion that sadness ebbed in the pupils of his love--a sadness that was partially caused by him. He knew it was stupid that he had left her without notice, amnesia was mostly to blame, but he was courageous to admit that it was his fault that he'd deserted his home. He had let everyone down, including his pack and those who depended on him.
He searched Nina's features, waiting for her to approach him with some kind of words, he was willing to accept anything thrown his way; anger, happiness, sadness, and disgust. Anything was better than the silence that quickly followed her response to Miccah. It seemed that in frustration she had yelled at the youth, possibly angry that he had entered the vicinity that was reserved for the two but he had secretly forgiven the male. The tawny elder understood how important it was to protect his home. No sooner did Nina release her frustration on the darker male did he catch the glimpse of Danica, her voice similar to an angel's song in his ears. It surprised him that she recognized him, and the sickening feeling that fell in his stomach swept his breath away as he stood in his spot, wondering what she meant by the death of her brother...which brother...which innocent son?
Picking up his jaw from the ground, he turned to Nina for some kind of answer, a single ear twitching in concern over how their young son passed so quickly, he could only hope it was some cruel, misunderstanding--a joke. It was not funny, but he could find wind if someone would burst the bubble of misbelief that suddenly encased him, how could he not have been around to save his son, his baby boy! He glanced to his paws, and feeling his strength wane, lowered to his haunches in response in hopes that he wouldn't faint from the news. If only he had of came sooner, he would have been able to rescue his son from some uncertain death; when Hollow entered, he barely noticed. His head snapped to attention when the dark haired, blue eyed male entered. He was not impressed with Koda's disappearance, who would, but his timing could not have been worse, considering the fact that his sadness over the death of a child was turning quickly into anger. Looking at the younger male he spoke, "Secret Wood will always be important to me, second only to my family." his voice equally as icy. He was sure that Hollow was aware of his conflict with amnesia, how could the male attempt to make it seem like Koda would desert everything he cared about on purpose.

His apology was ignored by the man, but not by Nina. Her words were harsh, but he didn't really take it personally. Though, he couldn't help but flinch slightly. Miss Nina, or better yet, Lady Nina, was one intimidating woman that frankly scared the shit out of him. He was man enough to admit to himself and he knew it would've made his parents proud. A pup soon came to the scene, Miccah thought her name was Danica or something along those lines. A small grimace appeared on his features as she spoke. Innocent words that would undoubtedly lead to hard repercussions.
But he supposed the the man, Koda, would find out sooner or later of his son's death. But what a horrid way it was that he found out like this. Miccah watched as the man took in the news, slowly sitting down onto his haunches. He couldn't imagine what his alpha's ex mate was currently going through, but he felt sympathy for the man. Just like he felt sympathy towards Nina. No one deserved to lose a child.
Hollow appeared soon after which left Miccah a bit disgruntled. He hadn't caught any whiff or sight of the man before hand. He'd have to work on that. As usual, through the whole ordeal that was happening, he kept his face neutral--even through the conundrum in his mind.
His unusual blue orbs flickered back and forth between Hollow and Koda. He could taste the building tension, but he dared not interfere. This was between Hollow and Koda alone. His fur bristled apprehensively, and he tensed slightly. He would make sure to jump in if necessary. Mate or not, his duty was to Hollow alone, not Koda. There was no doubt in his mind who he'd protect. Keeping a watchful gaze on the two men, he awaited any sign of trouble.
