Danica was feeling the need to be more independent, to do something around here and help out her family. So she set out early that morning to travel through the thick layers of snow. At times she was hoping, almost nose deep in white crystals. The determination she held passionately wasn't distinguished as she trudged on. Dawn was almost over with by the time she made her destination.
Now at midday she wasn't even half done with marking the boarders. To her surprise she hadn't run into anyone as of yet. Instead it seemed the older wolves had finished earlier then she started. Lying down to rest in the white powder she prodded herself up against a tree. Emerald green eyes were covered as her eye lids drooped down.
Her breather was short lived though as she found her paws and shook her fur. The silver-ish pup rub her cheek against the plant. Moving on to the next looming flora after flora she traveled down the markers. It made her feel like an adult to contribute with the tasks. Proudly holding her head she kept on doing her self given job.
However much she liked this, Dani was still a young thing and soon found herself getting distracted. She tackled the snow and rolled about in it, snapping playfully. She would of preferred to do this with her older brother Ashton, but he wasn't around per normal. Well...the new normal. Giggling she started to chase her tail, spinning and spinning and spinning till she fell over.

He was wandering, walking leisurely around Secret Woods in search of nothing in particular, simply enjoying the winter weather that settled on the pack land. His burly coat had grown out completely, making him seem bulkier then he really was, silver hairs were evident on his body both from his birth color and aging that was slowly overtaking him as time went on. He would be approaching 6 years soon, a prime age in the fact that although this winter was as horrible as any in the north, he was sure that eventually his pack would pull through to survive until the summer when hopefully the herds would return, he only hoped that no lives would perish in the aftermath.
As he walked he caught the scent of his daughter, tracing her evenly laid paw prints lead him in the direction of a tree along Secret Woodland borders.Since his return home he wanted to be more involved in his children lives, to make up for missed time, and being the curious parent with natural instinct to protect her, he thought it would be in their best interest if someone was around to make sure they didn't get into any mischief. Being that he was the absent parent, he knew that his appearance wouldn't be much appreciated, they would grow to love and respect him the more he showed them that he was loyal and always there to protect them unless death prevented him to.
As he approached her, cautiously and with calculated movement, he waited until she was in his line of vision before he paused, simply watching her behavior as a soft chuckle flowed from his mouth from her antics. Chasing tail was puppy business, wildly funny and always cute, so much so that even these innocent antics made his heart swell with pride. His children were developing fine, and evidently healthy, without him around. He only hoped that this would improve the longer he was around. When she fell down he felt his stomach lurch with concern, his eyes searching frantically for her to resurface to assure him that she was safe. As time lapsed he grew impatient and approached her, to see for himself that nothing had happened to her, before speaking "Hello my beautiful daughter," a smile along his lips. He only hoped her response was better then their last encounter.
