And I’ve been doing just fine - Halgen - Feb 11, 2014 Halgen challenges @Albireo for the rank III. Subordinate EDIT: Sorry this is sudden :3 Originally it was challenging James but he is inactive now pushing Hal up the rank but this is for the post prompt and stuff and so Hal still feels the need to challenge [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: And I’ve been doing just fine - Albireo - Feb 25, 2014 Just gonna say this happens before Al and Den's reunion. Sorry Al is so rude! x_x Also I can get a roll if you want to turn this into a posturing match rather than a fight ;) Third wasn't bad. Just two others above him that Albireo had to mind, but at least he wasn't last. This little home Albireo had nestled himself into seemed to be shaken by winter, but the loss of his leader's cubs was something he considered with particularly intense disinterest. As long as no one looked at him as suspect, he couldn't really care less about it. Albireo's primary concerns were getting enough to eat, not freezing to death, and holding whatever shred of power he could. Without his brother's charisma to hold him up, Albireo had to rely upon his own tooth and claw to keep himself aloft on the shifting sea of ranks.
Albireo was sifting through the snow with his snout, searching for any trail of scent that would lead him towards something to eat, when a vaguely familiar voice called for him. He was certain it was one of the pack, but not someone he'd really interacted before with nor cared to now. As it was a challenge, though, Albireo had no choice but to show or otherwise be assumed to have forfeit out of fear. Begrudgingly he made his way to the clearing to prove himself. "Oh for fuck's sake," Albireo muttered under his breath as he made his way into the clearing surrounding the den. The tawny male looked so pleased, so smug, so satisfied with himself and so, so sure he had it in the bag. Albireo just wanted to rip that wagging tail right off. Why couldn't everyone just accept that he was obviously superior? Albireo told himself that "Caleb" had only won against him due to luck. If the black wolf hadn't woken him up from a nap up for a challenge, Albireo might have had the upper hand that time. This time he was fully alert, brown eyes honed onto Halgen's pale amber as he tried to stare the younger wolf into submission. Trying to head off a fight before it even got a chance to get off the ground, Albireo opened his wrinkled jaws to show his fangs, spittle flying in a wordless snarl that spoke back off. His legs stiffened as he strode closer, imposing on the larger male's space but leaving enough distance that he wouldn't be caught entirely off guard. Ears erect and tail curled high over his back, it was clear that Al wouldn't just hand over his rank. RE: And I’ve been doing just fine - Halgen - Mar 16, 2014 Sorry this took forever 3 @Alberio [dohtml] [/dohtml] RE: And I’ve been doing just fine - Albireo - Mar 29, 2014 Albireo snorted and rolled his eyes at Halgen's simple statement, pointing out the obvious. No way did this kid deserve his rank, and although he felt the whole ordeal a waste of his precious time which was otherwise filled with napping and looking for food, he needed to put this wolf back in his place. Albireo's heart raced as the tension mounted and Halgen snarled at him. His snowy white ears folded back in hesitation, but he kept his muddy brown eyes on Halgen. It would take more than that to thoroughly shake the Cygni of his own haughty opinion of himself. It was the submission of others that Al craved, and Albireo would take it if he had to. Albireo clacked his teeth as he snarled and started to move closer, skirting around sideways as he began to circle in towards Halgen, inching closer into the male's space. Albireo couldn't help keep his lofty tail waving out of excitement and anticipation. As he began to encroach on Halgen's space, Al hoped to get the younger wolf to either move downwards, or out of his way. |
