It looks an awful lot like fear - Ashton - Mar 31, 2014 [dohtml] @Ash Sleep was at the forefront of his mind, luring him into a false sense of security. It was begging him to rest, suggesting that he was safe to curl up anywhere, but even the dullest wolf could realize what a grave mistake that was. Completely helpless, and out in the open without a den could mean death for a wolf. Especially one who knew nothing of how to thrive without a pack. Ashton Hervok was stubborn, more so than should be allowed, and so he pushed forward. After all, he didn't like to lose, and to his own body no less. A satisfied smirk planted itself across his face as he forced his drooping eyes to open a little wider. Only then did the familiar scent of wolves carried on the breeze enter his olfactory system. He wasn't home, as the individual aromas were foreign to him, and that could mean one of two things. First, he had wandered even father from the thicket, and would have to double back, or he happened to be going the right way, and this was a newly formed pack. The cub in his mind begged for the latter, but he had already convinced himself that it did not matter. Averting his course to skirt around their borders, the male found a good sized clearing. Such things made one a walking target, and so he opted to head into the surrounding forest. Here there would be plenty of places to hide, and enough obstacles to make it one hell of a chase. Satisfied with his decision, the male allowed his gait to loosen. Now if only he could find an old badger den. [/dohtml] |
