Karpos had gone straight to the bar and chugged a few pints of the strongest stuff they had. His head rested on his upper arm as he struggled to stay away. "Hgettt me anoffur." He ordered to the bar tender.

RE: Why? - Mercy - Apr 01, 2014

"Slow down, champ," Mercy said as he sidled alongside Karpos. He'd seen the young man hunched over the bar when he'd come in and had scoffed to himself about the ridiculousness of someone so young getting so hammered- until he realized who it was. He raised a brow at his friend and raised a hand to get served.

Karpos' head hurt and he looked at Mercy. "Can I tell you sometahn? A compete secret that can't be told to ANYONE?" He asked his friend and the other ward staying at Hollowheart Manor.

RE: Why? - Chulyin - Apr 01, 2014

Chulyin was out and about. But he was usually out and about. There were many souls he had to keep an eye on, and more than a few dogs on short leashes that needed to be reminded of their place. But then there were children. Weren't there always, though? The two wards of their happy little cult had gone missing, though that was a loose term.

It was easy enough to follow their trail right to the door of the Nightshade, and he couldn't help but roll his dusky amber eyes. Upon entering, he saw what he'd expected: Karpos, far past the point of intoxication, and Mercy, who seemed to be trying to counsel him. Chulyin came up between the two youths, a towering and typically silent presence. As the bartender returned with another whatever Chulyin grasped the hefty pint, lifting it from the bar and out of Karpos's grasp. "I think you've had enough, son."

WAS SHADOW-POSTED BLARGH XD.

"Mmhmm. Pint of Stella?" He said, responding to both Karpos- who he had a hard time taking seriously, and the barkeep. He knew it wasn't the most manly thing- but it was classy. He wanted to be classy, even though his clothes were worn and old. "Yeh, sure," He said, re-focusing his attention on Karpos as the drink was handed to him in its uniquely shaped glass. He'd just lifted it to his lips when the bag of fun and joy arrived- and cut Karpos off.

"Come onn," Mercy said, and jostled Karpos with his elbow. "He's fine, let him drink."

His mouth was dry as he started to speak. "Aponi's knocked up. This isn't just some rumor from school this time... it's true." The sound of regret filled his voice and eyes. What the hell had he done? His eyes held the nervousness. "I'm dead is Mr. Mapplethorpe finds out.... so is she." He didn't even notice Aponi's uncle standing there. He was dead for sure.

RE: Why? - Chulyin - Apr 01, 2014

Lifting the drink to his lips, he took a sip. The corners of his eyes wrinkled just slightly. Whatever this was, it was strong. His head turned slowly as he was accosted verbally by Mercy, and though he said nothing, the hard stare that he gave the boy ought to have been enough. Taking another swig of the liquor, he found himself settling on Karpos's other side, just as he began to vomit out whatever he had on his mind.

Slamming the mug down on the bar, he had to put his face in the cup of his hand. "'Thorpe'll do something, all right," Chulyin groaned.

RE: Why? - Mercy - Apr 01, 2014

The colour drained from Mercy's features as the truth came out. Not only because Chulyin was standing there and heard the whole confession, but because he'd been with Aponi. Out in the cold...He'd been drinking, and wasn't entirely sure about the details of every night they spent together. Chulyin spoke and Mercy swallowed hard. "It's probably just some lie t get attention," He said, though he wanted to do nothing more than grab Karpos and demand more information from him .
