Hide and Seek - Triell - Feb 03, 2011 ooc; i'm going to say indru has borlla and triell looking for Solomon's Seal plant. 2- 3 feet tall, feathered leaves, and bell flowers. likes shade, and good source of water.it's a good plant for wounds. hope that's all right Tara, and your welcome to post later if you'd like. :) any way here goes. Pups in training, that's sorta of what if felt like to the lad. Their lessons were hunting, tracking, fighting, and now Indru wanted the two of them to learn to work together no doubt. So, this lesson was to find a medicinal plant. Winter was here of coarse, but this plant would come to their shoulder and had a certain feather like foliage. In spring it had tiny, green white bell flowers, and also grew dark berries. The young male was confident they could find it. Very thrilled he was letting them do something on their own. It was a test he wanted to pass, and he hoped Borlla wanted to do the same. Walking through the safe setting of Sacred grove, he was eager to began the search. Grinning, he was sure this could be a fun for the two. Playful paw swatted Borlla's way. "So, where should we begin?" He asked, curious to where she thought they should start their search. It was different, now they were almost, all together again. He had never thought he'd enjoy Borlla's company, and he wouldn't admit it, but right now it wasn't bad. He was sure they might have a friendly competetion, Triell was always up for it. He followed in step with her, eyes looking amongst the white for the decayed plant. He mused silently on how much they'd grown, changed. Then how much of them was still the same. "How long, do you think they'll give us till the come looking?" He smirked slightly, looking back amongst the ground. They were in the pack territory, certainly if they were gone for a long time, Indru would want to find them. Sometimes it wondered what it would have been like if there had been no fire, if he had a mother to raise him, instead of two brothers. Triell could not picture such a life, and perhaps that was for the best. Knowing what he could have missed out on, would make him want it. He liked the fact he had two steady guardians. Hide and Seek - Borlla - Feb 09, 2011 [dohtml] A lesson. This was different. It felt kind of funny being with Triell again. He wasn't as much of a butt as Kinis was, so she knew for a fact that she'd rather be with him than with the annoying brown one. It was even funnier that they had to work together. She was one-hundred percent certain that she'd find the plant faster if she could just do it on her own. And, of course, she'd leave Triell eating her snow. But she guessed it was for the better. She had to get along with one of her brothers, right? At least the ones that were the same age as her. Swift River scent engulfed her as they moved, reminding her that this was where they had to stay. It just made the challenge a little bit harder. Could be fun. Borlla growled playfully at him as he aimed a paw at her, but kept moving, only letting her eyes shift to meet him. "Maybe by the water?" There wasn't much heat around, and plants also needed water to survive. Even if it was kind of frozen in some places. She clicked her teeth together, and looked about for this plant. Why were they looking anyway? How was a dead plant useful? Though, she was no healer, so maybe this plant did have some sort of...healing ability. "Who knows if they'll come looking at all." Her words were absentminded as she searched. "I mean...Maybe when the sun goes down? But we should probably spend more time looking, rather than worrying." Finally shifting her head to look at him, she puffed out a cloud of cold air before trotting off a bit faster towards the water. "speech." Hide and Seek - Triell - Feb 11, 2011 Tiny, little motions were in his peripheral vision checking his sister's speed, and the path ahead. Trying to at the same time, at least. She growled in return at his swipe but did nothing more then answer his question, somewhere by the water. Shrugging his large shoulders, "Probably," he replied. Heading in the direction of the river. Knowing thats where his thoughts had went. Now where were there trees near the river? Part of him doubted to really find what they were suppose to. But Borlla seemed focused on the task as he. She was in a good mood, or what Triell would call good for her. He hadn't had her company in so long, he could deal if it changed. The young wolf thought of his brother Kinis, but did not want to ask her about it. Doubting she would bat an eye over it. Oh well, it wasn't like him and Borlla would leave side by side all their lives either. That was an odd thought indeed. Hide and Seek - Borlla - Feb 12, 2011 [dohtml] On occasion, she'd feel bad. Bad that she treated her family the way she did. Wondering how hard it would be for her to put for a bit of kind effort. But it didn't seem right. Making herself a kinder wolf to appease them. What kind of family were they if they didn't deal with her the way she was? Her shoulders rolled as she walked, and she tried to focus on something else. Finding this plant. That was important. Even if she didn't particularly want to share the victory with her brother, she would suck it up for him. Triell was a lot less sensitive than Kinis. Borlla could deal with him better. In fact, she honestly didn't mind much about hanging out with him. She grunted girlishly at his "peach fuzz" comment, tempted to give him a shove once he caught up. Which was a lot sooner (and faster) than she'd thought. A black blur raced past her, and she wasted no time in chasing after him. It looked like he was heading towards a willow tree. Immediately, Borlla swerved off, moving no closer to the water, and rather parallel to it. Her honey eyes glanced over each tree as she raced past it. The plant had flowers right? White ones or something. She wondered if they'd still have them even in the winter. Didn't seem possible really. She moved a bit closer to the water, desperately searching. She didn't even waste the time seeing what Triell was doing, for fear that he'd found it before her. "speech." Hide and Seek - Triell - Feb 12, 2011 Maybe Borlla really was in a good state of mind, or place. Whatever. Quite astonishing, but he would give her credit. She could be decent, and was proving so. Maybe he should challenge her to a wrestling match. But hey they weren't exactly kids any more, anyone could change. The young Tainn grinned to himself, Borlla a total personality change? Weirder things had happened. He would never admit it, nor the fact he was happy to know she'd made it to Relic Lore safe. Or....spending time with her. He was just as worried about her beating him, and his eyes searched desperately. Think...think..think. What had Indru said. He wished he could know what the hell, the thing smelt like. Would have helped extremely. Oh well. Maybe one day he'd need the plant, it had to be important. Hide and Seek - Borlla - Feb 12, 2011 [dohtml] Borlla groaned as she began to nose near the water. She smelled for anything. Anything that didn't smell like cold and decay. Thankfully the water didn't smell like anything, since it was pretty much the only thing that wasn't dead around here. It took every bit of self-control not to see what her brother was doing and yell some mocking remark at him. She was sure that she'd have to pick one of those two things eventually. With a deep sigh, she scooted down the shore, slightly away from Triell. But there wasn't much. Occasionally she'd come across a patch of grass that was trying its best to hold out against the freezing snow, but it was not anything like this Seal plant. So, she stopped, and closed her eyes, though she continued to nose around the snow, as if she was really searching. Silently in her head, she counted to thirty, and then, she'd initiate something. One, two, three, four...Fifteen, sixteen, seventeen...Twenty-nine, THIRTY! Pulling her nose from the snow, she leaped up and twisted towards Triell in the near distance. She loped towards him, hoping to, maybe nose in if she thought was on to something. Not that she'd go so far as to cheat. Of course, maybe she could convince him to work with her again. At least then he wouldn't win. That was good enough for her. As she raced towards him, snow flying in all directions, she was suddenly hit in the face with something, which, obviously, stopped her rather fast. Thankfully she stayed on her paws, but she had to shake the snow from her face and pelt before she looked down in the snow to spot the long-stemmed plant. She gasped, a malicious grin spreading over her muzzle. She was quite risible now, as she grabbed the plant in her jaws. "Hey, Tri-Tri!" She barked out. "Look what I found!" With a giggle, she dropped her rump into the snow, her tail wagging happily behind her like a banner. "speech." Hide and Seek - Triell - Feb 13, 2011 This was ending up being a disheartning search. He wasn't going to go back empty handed, he was very, very eager to find this thing. He assumed if they didn't find it today, they would have to go out again. Didn't sound very fun. The sooner the better, and before Borlla. He could tell she was close by, and empty handed. He did not take his eyes from his search to see what she was doing, she could be sitting there doing nothing, all the better. Scattering the dead grass, the noise of snow clumps flying, and falling brought his black ears back. What was she doing now? Hide and Seek - Borlla - Feb 21, 2011 [dohtml] "Don't sound so happy," She smirked, dropping the plant on the ground at her paws, and as subtly as she could manage, she slid on paw over top of it, keeping it relatively secure. "On the ground, of course. Well, actually, it kind of hit me in the face. Weird, huh?" Borlla had actually failed to notice or connect Triell's digging with the seal plant colliding with her face. Scooping down again, she picked up the plant awkwardly in her jaws. "Guess we should head back now?" The smile stayed plastered to her face; she was simply swimming in pride at this moment, glad that, after a bit of doubt, she'd come out the victor after all. "speech." Hide and Seek - Triell - Feb 21, 2011 Triell held the feeling to wrinkle his nose, and push the tip of his tongue past his teeth. Instead he sighed, "Ya, ya at least we found the silly thing." He said we without thinking, though she might notice how he pinned this into a group thing again without intention. Whatever. He wasn't going to give her a prize, and he wasn't happy she had found it. He sucked in his sour feeling, feeling the wet dirt on his nose he better be rid of that. Casually he swiped his elbow atop his snout not minding sending it in her direction. Hide and Seek - Borlla - Feb 27, 2011 [dohtml] Borlla merely stood there, silently gloating while Triell moped, and tried to make himself feel better. No way was he going to steal her spot light, and he certainly wasn't going to get that ick on her. Not that she minded ick, but she wouldn't give him the pleasure. She slipped around him as he lifted his elbow, and gave a silent sniff. The girl watched her brother like a hawk, but said nothing, as he came up to sniff the plant. He was a brave one, wasn't he? "Hopefully something. I'll have his ears if Indru sent us to find a weed." Borlla scowled, and shook out her fur. "You can escort me back, Triell." She smirked, and lined up beside him. "By the way," Borlla looked over at him with her honey-hued eyes. "There is no we." She then began to walk back. "speech." |
