Meeting Again - James - May 21, 2014

(Here we go!)

He had made a promise and was going to stick to it. He had been lingering around this area waiting for the Miss K'arnae he had met on the mountain top. James could remember her clearly. Short words, big build, pretty in a weird sort of way. Chuckling to himself he set out on a stroll. It was a farily nice day. Not to cold and not to hot. Just right. Although the trees blocked out pretty much all of the sun he could catch a glimpse of it here and there.

Trotting along a beaten down path he stoped here and there to examine the area better. Checking the place for possible dens and where prey may be hiding. Although he wasn't to lucky to stumble across any prey he could see tracks through some of the thicker parts of the woods. Perhaps on another day he would take the time to track and hunt. Today though, he was on a mission. To learn the land. If he was going to be doing some adventuring he needed to be sure he wouldn't get lost. Being lost meant no real protection from anything. That was unless he made where he was lost his new home. But James knew better than to just randomly start a home up somewhere. It would be safer to join an already pack. Or even just travel with one or two other wolves. Which was why he was looking forward to seeing Miss K'arnae again.

@James | Thank you for your patience!

Time had been kind to the healing wolf, which was as grand a compliment as she could bestow to the ever-changing and vengeful force. Under the shelter of the Glen, she had found her strength again to travel and explore, not only for herself but for the youth that now dwelt in the fragrant lands. She was happier, in truth, though her expression portrayed none to make any the wiser. Yet as she walked again with hardly a limp to tell, there was a subtle bound that could not be ignored as she pursued a northern course towards strange woods.

Rather than keep herself under the care of the Glen wolves, she set out on her own volition to keep to a word she had shared with a passing stranger. In any other instance, one might not have seen this necessary to keep to, as there were no previous obligations between herself and the grey male she had met some time ago. But the mountain wolf was not conditioned to let a word slip away to naught. Even if it was to do nothing more than sit and visit with a stranger, or perhaps recount the experiences that had passed since last they greeted and spoke. It was perhaps obscene to go such lengths for someone she did not know. Yet the female believed that all were deserving of the same regard despite their affiliation. Be them well known or stranger; if she had given a word to them, then that word was worth fulfilling.

And she traveled quite far under the shadow of the mountain, until their trail of gnarled woods veered off from the formidable peaks. When rugged earth gave way to overgrowth and moss, she could take a moment to pause and assess her surroundings. The pair had not settled on an exact meeting place since they brush upon the mountain... when when scent and surveillance failed to bridge the gap, there was always the song of the kind to guide one to the other. Rather than scour the woods both blind and aimless, she raised her muzzle to the air and called out for the visage of grey to find her.
