For @Noble and Kova, and remember what pups should be doing at 5 weeks old/1month in their development

Tokino was fully rested after coming back from patrolling the borders early this morning. He had rested just outside the den falling asleep and drifting into a dreamworld while the sun eventually began to set. The males eyes fluttered open just as a strong breeze flowed through camp ruffling his fur and sending shivers down his spine. That was an unusually cool wind... He thought groggily as the man brought himself to a sitting position then began stretching his older limbs. As his bones cracked the man scented the milky smell of pups from his left. Straightening his stance Kino turned and padded to the entrance of the den then peered down at the little ones. A large grin plastered itself upon his gray maw as the king looked down upon his children.
They had learned plenty form their mother, a little form their pack mates, and a lot from each other as they grew and tumbled around the den. Through all of their growth his ice filled eyes beamed with pride. He sniffed each pup then poked his nose playfully into Noble's fur and wiggled it to tickle her before turning and poking at the air in front of Kova's face. You little rascals bothering your mother again? Then you will have to deal with me! He tried to rear up on his hind legs until.. UMPH! his head hit the ceiling sending Kino back to the earth again. He lowered his front end to the ground while leaving his rear up giving anyone watching a good view of his butt and tail wagging happily.

Despite trying to get one of his parents to take him outside earlier Kova had been relegated back to the entrance of the den for most of the day just staring out at the world. Sure for a good part of the day the boy had spent playing with his sister or trying to drink milk from his mother. However the games he and his sister played were getting, boring to say the least, and they never lasted as long as they used to. Also, his mother had been starting get annoyed with their suckling. Kova wondered if he and Noble were hurting her sometimes, but usually the rumble in his belly made the boy still go after his mothers milk despite her possible suffering.
So when his father had come back earlier Kova had stood at the entrance with his tail wagging hoping to see if Kino would take him out for a stroll into the territory. However the big gray wolf simply lay himself down near the entrance as if he hadn't seen the boy at all and then quickly fell asleep. Even after prodding Tokino in the side a few times Kova hadn't been able to wake him up. So once more the boy delved into the darkness of the den and, at the sight of his mother napping and sister eating, decided to nap himself.
It was a short nap, shorter than his fathers, before Kova woke up once more filled with energy. It was still daylight out, but the sun was starting to set as Kova stumbled up to four paws and shook himself awake. He glanced outside to see that the light had changed. He was used to seeing the dark and sun at different times of day now and even understood what "night" and "day" were. He knew that "night time" was coming.
Staggering out to the entrance of the den Kova looked past his father to watch the sun set through the sparse trees and thick bushes that marred his view. A strong breeze lifted his fur as Kova stood enjoying the gentle touch of wind. He wasn't sure how long he'd been gazing there before the older wolf began moving. Stumbling backwards to get out of Kino's way Kova watched as his father woke himself and turned to look at Noble and himself. Instantly the gray boys tail began to wag and a mischievous grin set upon his face as Tokino attempted to start a play fight with the siblings. However just after the Lagina elder hit his head on the roof of the den Kova let out a cackling laugh escape his muzzle while bouncing around happily before his fathers snout.
Pawing at Tokino every time he poked his nose near his face, Kova barked defiantly standing up to his fathers prodding. At one point he almost had Tokino's slavering jowl in his mouth before the gray man quickly jerked his head back from the overactive child.

Tokino was proud of the little demons he had spawned. The pair of pups were getting stronger every day which was very evident with how Kova had been able to nip the gray mans muzzle just before he pulled it out of reach. Bright ice blue orbs stared down at his son as Tokino watched the young boy bounce around with his tail wagging a mile a minute. He admired the coordination that Kova had and smiled while egging the pup to come out into the sun with him. Then Kino backed up allowing room for the little ball of gray to bolt through the entrance and roam around outside if he wanted.
Tokino and Minka only really allowed the pups to play outside and roam around when they were present. Though he had a feeling that the pups were roaming around the den's entrance when other pack members were visiting. It was only Tokino and his mate who took the pups out on longer walks. Though generally both pups came on the walks, today might be the first day that Kova would walk alone with his pappa on this father son day out.
Come on out little guy and show me your brave face. Tokino strutted in a circle stopping only when his proud body stood statuesque against the landscape facing Kova. His head and tail was raised as Tokino gestured to Kova to copy him. Like this boy. GRRRRRrrr! Tokino plastered a mock snarl on his face and let his hackles raise though his tail wagged quickly showing Kova that he was playing.

Kova stumbled forward then yanked his head upwards to look at his tall father who stared down at him with lighter blue eyes than the boys own puppy blue ones. He watched as his father began to back out of the dens entrance while moving his head in a weird way. Kova wasn't sure why his father seemed to be looking at him then moving his head strangely. It was as if that movement was supposed to mean something. Kova grinned while sticking his tongue out trying to get his father to come back and play more. However as the larger male exited the den Kova guessed that he would be allowed out and bounded head over heels after his fathers thin yet robust platinum frame.
Once outside his eyes grew wide as Kova took in the sights and whined happily. His excited steps had the boy hopping up and down as he became distracted by his fathers voice. Nodding enthusiastically in understanding Kova copied his fathers movements to a T even putting in that little strut his cute father was performing. Kova hoisted his head up and lifted his tail as he copied his fathers growly face then roared as loud as he could. The sound that came out of his mouth could be akin to a blue jay screaming at nest invaders. Then he bounced up to his fathers scary face and tried his best to lick the gray mans chin. However Kova was only able to hop and jump about three quarters of Tokino's height. So he wasn't getting too far.
Can we go walk please please please! Kova begged his father while forcing himself to sit still upon Tokino's large front paws. He hated being still, but the adults usually paid him more attention if he calmly asked for things instead of when he bounced around like a maniac.

Tokino chuffed approvingly letting a bright smile fade across his muzzle as he nodded to the child. Yes just like that! the mans chuckling deep voice bounced off the landscape and echoed around the hollow. Then he leaned forward to speak to Kova clearly. Make yourself look like that when you want to look strong, or when someone tries to yell at or fight with you. Never let anyone walk all over you, because you're a Lagina wolf from a long proud line of royals. He spoke firmly but still held that proud light within his blue eyes. Though as Kova relaxed his stance and began asking for a walk, Tokino wondered if the child had even been listening at all.
Calm down boy! Down! Tokino said just as Kova sat down on his paws. Apparently he is learning.. Normally I can't get him to sit still. the older wolf grumbled in his head as he smiled down at the excited child. Kova's innocent face and pleading eyes won the wolf over. However he couldn't just leave Noble alone. Turning to look into the den Tokino realized that the little girl was sleeping. Perhaps that was the reason why she hadn't come out earlier to play. So Tokino flashed a dimpled grin and winked at Kova. Come on then and keep close. We have to be quick about it and be back before your sister wakes up. He nudged Kova to his paws then began padding to the edge of the clearing. It wouldn't do any harm if Kova learned some of the trails around the packs territory. Knowing the territory might help him get home if he ever went out on his own while we aren't lookin.

Having been worn out before by playing with her brother, along side all the lessons they had been learning, Noble had slept longer than she normally would. So it was because of this she slept through her brother playing with their father. Yet she was woken up a loud noise, like a bird, that was calling just outside the den. Surprised by the noise, the noise jolted her awake and had her clumsily jumping to her paws due to the surprise. However, her body and mind were still half asleep so her body only half listened to her so when she tried getting to her paws, she stumbled forward. And landed with a loud ‘oomph!’
Whining from the sudden fall and the slight pain from hitting her chin on the ground, Noble sniffed and pushed herself-more slowly-to her paws. Looking towards the entrance, she saw the outlines of her brother being nudged to his feet by their father before the larger male begun to move off. Curiously overwhelming her desire to demand what had made the noise, Noble scrambled out of the den with a question on the tip of her tongue.
”Where you going Papa?” She called to him, pausing at the entrance of the den and tilting her head down at her brother. ”Can I join you...please?” She asked, almost forgetting to say please and trying to sound as polite as she could. She had found out demanding things never got her too far and depending on the situation, often got her scolded for doing so.

Kova had begun to follow his father just happy to be getting out of the den. He didn't see why his father wanted to leave without waking up his sister. She could come too couldn't she? If she did wake up? Kova didn't yet have that urge to play only with boys instead of girls. He loved his sister and thought of her as a fun play mate. Not being tainted by other children saying "girls are yucky" or "girls are cry babies" meant that he could fully appreciate growing up along side a loving sister. At least, if his father let the pair of cubs spend time with each other.
Just as the two Lagina boys had started to leave a sound caught Kova's ears. He stopped and turned to see his sister calling for their father. With an excited yip the silver boy started scrambling towards his sister happy that she had woken up. Now we can both go! Kova ran up to his sister excitedly the turned back around and looked at his father as the adorable little girl asked if she could come. Kova grinned while his tail wagged all over the place.Even hitting his sister should she come close enough to his hind end. Please?He added his whine with Noble's as she and Kova looked up and out to their father's body. Kova hoped his father would let them both go even though he had been talking about taking him out before. Since it was with Tokino, Kova was sure their momma would be okay letting them take a walk with him.

Tokino scented the air sticking his noise up and lengthening his neck to look for any visible dangers. All he could see were the bushes and blackberries that made up their territory. Birds flew about on breezy wind currents and rodents of all sizes feasted on nuts and berries beneath the bushes. For now all was safe which meant that Tokino could take his pup out for a walk. Already planning a route throughout the territory closest to the den in his head, the gray wolf turned as he heard a little voice speak up behind him.
Those pale blue eyes settled upon Noble's form as she looked at him with those desperate puppy eyes. He caved in almost immediately at her look then turned to pad closer. Watching Kova run up to his sister, Tokino smiled warmly. The lean gray man loved his children immensely.
We were going to take a look around. Would you like to come dear princess? he held out his paw in an inviting gesture while smiling as a charming prince might. Though Tokino was a king and not at all as young as a prince would be. Waiting a moment for her answer, Tokino then tossed his head up and turned to head back into the bushes once more. Only this time he would have two pups under his wing. Let's just hope Minka doesn't notice us gone for too long... He chuckled inside his head while flicking his tail in a "come here" gesture for the pups to follow.

At his words and the offering of his paw, Noble gave a happy yip. Of course she wanted to come! To be able to explore, under the watchful eyes of her father or other family members, was something Noble loved doing. Yes, she could wander off herself but that was never a safe thing to do. Or at least that's what her parents always told her. And she never wanted to wander far either, just enough to sate her curiosity.
"Yes Papa, I want to look 'round!" Noble nodded eagerly, her ears flopping wildly as her head moved. It made her feel a little dizzy, the force of her nod but she recovered quickly. She was young after all, a pup who just wanted to spend time with her family as much as she could. Noble adored her family, even if her brother annoyed her greatly sometimes. But brothers were meant to be like that, she supposed and didn't mind when he did do something to get under her skin. He was her brother and she his sister. They would grow up together and learn all sorts of things together, though they would find their own skills and activities they enjoyed that would pull them apart as they followed them.
But for now, Noble was content to feel her brother's tail hit her in the shoulder when she bounded forward to follow after Tokino, even if she gave a playful growl towards her brother, her own tail wagging in happiness. Where would they be going? She wondered once, darting between her father's longer legs, pausing a few feet away, waiting as she turned to look back at him.

Kova watched his sister bound up to their father with glee then trailed after her with a wide grin on his face. The boy was always happiest when his sister was around. They always caused a ruckus wherever they went. Usually it was Noble leading the party while Kova egged her on to do not so good things. He rarely was the one leading an expedition.
As Noble passed Tokino by Kova padded beside Tokino and looked up at him with pleading eyes. The young lad loved looking around and learning new things. It pleased him to know exactly what everything was around him, and he liked telling others about what he knew. However he also liked the stories that the adults sometimes told them. Usually it was their father telling them the tales, both made up and real. So Kova hung around the larger male often hoping to get any tidbit of story or new information out of him.
As they padded forward into a different portion of the territory than the pups were used to Kova took his eyes off his father and glanced around at the new surroundings. His gaze lit upon a small dip in the ground where a bird face peeked out.
But it was so odd looking compared the the other birds Kova had seen! Its face was round as the moon with giant circular eyes that peered into his soul. A tiny beak set within that round fuzzy feathered face decorated in brown speckled colors held a mouse. Then the bird clicked its little beak and swallowed the mouse whole!
Kova was awed by the thing that he didn't know was called a burrowing owl. He had paused to watch the creature while the other wolves continued whatever they were doing.
