only the Great Danton's son - Angier - Jul 19, 2014 July 19th; Afternoon; Overcast; 59° F/15° C RE: only the Great Danton's son - Beren - Jul 19, 2014 [dohtml] Beren had taken a small trip from his home Black Thorn Downs to have a bit of alone time. Although he liked company and having friends, the recent action in his pack had made him wish he had had a bit more solitude time. Tokino being attacked by a bear, that strange meeting with a crow, trying to gain Minka's trust with the children. It was a bit new to Beren. It seemed like pack life was a whirlwind of crazy events. Or perhaps it was just that pack that held crazy events. Trotting along his nose was quick to pick up a scent. A strange that was overly cloaked in the smell of willow trees. Obvious he didn't live here. Staying respectful, since he was to assume this strange didn't own this land and he wasn't on Black Thorn Down lands, Beren tried to keep down and move on. Anyone that masked with a heavy scent was perhaps on a mission of sorts away from their pack and or home. Whether this was a friendly mission or a deadly mission was unknown to the dark yearling. Along with the fact he was unsure if he wanted to know. Though it seemed his paws had different plans from his mind and moved him in the direction of the willow scented stranger. When it became obvious Beren might be approaching to close he brought himself to stop from the strange wolf. Nodding softly to the male he kept his eyes lowered from the older male. "Respect Beren, respect the man." Lifting his eyes jut slightly he opened his mouth to speak. "Good day sir, may I ask what brings you out here on a day like today?" RE: only the Great Danton's son - Angier - Jul 19, 2014 The farther Angier traveled the more he became aware of the inquisitive being that peered at him between the chokecherry trees. He did his best to pay no mind. Deacon's retrieval and ensuring that he was safe was much more important than prying eyes or bothersome individuals. He had already wandered to the north - in an aimless manner - and could not afford anymore delay. The sooner he could find his son, the better. But, when a curious question reached out to him, the Lyall only stopped for a brief second before continuing on his way. RE: only the Great Danton's son - Beren - Jul 20, 2014 [dohtml] "None o' yer bus'ness," Well that was straightforward. Beren had been already halfway turned around ready to leave the male. Taking a few steps ready to head some other direction away from the male who seemingly wanted nothing to do with him. Yet before he could really get anywhere the gruff voice spoke out to him again. Turning back around to face the male Beren alerted his ears to whatever was important that the male suddenly wanted something to do with him. Listening to him rattling off descriptions of a pup Beren frowned lightly. "I can't say I have seen him sir. Though I'd be willing to spread the word and take out on a search myself. A missing cub is a very serious matter. Though I understand if you don't want me or some other strangers out looking for the boy." He wouldn't be insulted if the older male rejected his offer. Parents, or just protectors, of cubs were usually very select about who got to be near and touch the cubs. Beren had known this from gaining Minka's trust to be friendly with the children. The boy kept his lips sealed allowing the willow male to speak. When he sought out it was the right time to speak he allowed himself to do so again. "By the way, my name is Bérengère Dunn, though most call me Beren. I am apart of a pack in the blackberry fields called Black Thorn Downs." He said this with a small smile hoping to add a tone of friendliness to this meeting. RE: only the Great Danton's son - Angier - Jul 20, 2014 Angier had partially expected the yearling to continue on his way, but it seemed fortune had him in its favor. The youth turned around with a frown which didn't faze the Leader in the least. He said that he had not seen the cub the Lyall had just described. Angier's heart sank, but he was grateful to hear that he could spread the word if need be. The Leader remained silent when the other quieted down, but as Bérengère Dunn introduced himself, he felt as though something important had just been revealed to him. Then, there it was: RE: only the Great Danton's son - Beren - Jul 27, 2014 [dohtml] Angier Lyall. Leader of Willow Ridge, eh? Interesting enough for Beren to respectfully nod again to the male. Yet the man was quick to start running his mouth. Questions flooded out and Beren merely blinked in surprise. It was interesting how this male was acting. Wanting none of him, asking for a cub, now seeking pack information. It was a rapid change but Beren could do with it. "My leaders are Minka and Tokino Lagina. As for the pack I'm afraid I can't say we are or not. I haven't heard of many packs here for I've only been here shortly. Though from my understand we are the only residing members in these parts except for this Secret Woodlands you speak of."" Beren let it all hang loose. Little did he know that there was a connecting chain with all of this talk. He had no idea about the betrayl from Minka and Tokino with Whisper Caverns. And how the pack Whisper Caverns was tied with Willow Ridge. Maybe had the boy actually been aware of this jumbling mess of packs he would have kept his mouth a bit more shut. Yet he didn't and he may never know. That was unless this Leader, Angier Lyall, of Willow Ridge said something and snapped off his head. Than perhaps Beren would know. Flicking his tail he decided to ask the male some questions. Turn the tables. "This Willow Ridge you lead, may I be told more of the pack?" He was curious as to seek more information about the surrounding packs. For who knew if he would always stay in Black Thorn Downs. And there could also be a much more fitting pack out there calling the dark yearlings name... RE: only the Great Danton's son - Angier - Aug 05, 2014 It might have been a lot to take in, but Angier was rather surprised for boy to counter him. Minka and Tokino. Black Thorn Downs. Good to know... His limbs were starting to become antsy and as he made to move again, to start making his way out from underneath the chokecherry trees, Beren asked him a question, wanting to know about his pack. The Lyall had to stifle his growl but his fur began to bristle upward and outward in reply. "Elettra Archer is the reigning Queen there," his voice rumbled. "Though ya wouldn't dare speak 'er name." He stared at Beren now, wanting to try and gauge just what the yearling would do with such information... tell Minka and Tokino, possibly... RE: only the Great Danton's son - Beren - Aug 18, 2014 [dohtml] Another name of a leader was shot to him. Elettra Archer, the queen it seemed. Before he could speak the older Lyall male shot another set of words to him. "Though ya wouldn't dare speak 'er name." Beren was a bit taken back but he nodded softly. "I wouldn't dare think of it Sir." The dark yearling had full honest respect in his voice. This man didn't seem like the joking type so he wasn't going to take that warning lightly. He would take the warning strong and hold onto it. Ears high and alert it was obvious how he was soaking in ever last word in Angier's sentence. As the topic of spies came up Beren was force to swallow a small lump. Spies? Was the entired Lore being filled with spies? Should he worry about such things? Did his own pack dare to hold spies? He hated to do it but he was slowly questioning things. But when the older male said he needed to get going Beren was quick to follow after like the child her was. "Angier, wait!" Beren ran the best he could to walk next to the males side. "I promise I won't be much of a bother I just have a few questions sir. Please." Beren was curious more and more about this Elettra Archer woman, her pack Willow Ridge, and those spies. He understood the man was on an important mission, and Beren wouldn't be surprised if Angier snapped at him but he just had a few questions. Though if the questions wouldn't be answered now Beren would be forced to seek out the Willow Ridge wolves for his answers. RE: only the Great Danton's son - Angier - Sep 15, 2014 The lad said that he wouldn't even dare to think of speaking Elettra's name. Bah! Yearlings... He might have seen and interacted with a small variety of them, but after having raise three unruly Archers, he was not willing to tolerate them. Especially when Deacon was still out there, possibly crying and calling out for him. He had barely marched past three cherry trees when Beren hollered, "Angier, wait!" The Leader's ears twitched in irritation and he turned around to face the boy with an unmistakably vexed glare. "I promise I won't be much of a bother I just have a few questions sir. Please." |
