Blooming in the moonlight - Temoria - Oct 14, 2014 The child watched as the fiery king was almost complete with his fall from his kingdom, relinquishing his power over to his pale mistress. It was only when his rays casted a gentle array of colors along a darkening backdrop was it safe for the child to move her tender paws from the cold cave she had been hiding in, it was the only time of day she could be safe from his lashings. Every day was the same; she would have to adjust her sleeping schedule to something a nocturnal creature would have to endure. Her eyes were to only open when the fire king was descending from his throne, only when he slept and the monochrome world reign was she safe to roam. Memories were absent from her mind, so trying tot find a way to bypass this ritual was going to take some time. All she had to go on was the familiarity of the air a cedar tree brought to her, the name that the old canine healer had designated to her, and the natural ability to switch her mind to a survival mode. Otherwise she was filled with the new air of a newborn babe; she was still trying to find a way to make her voice rise louder than a simple whisper. With an audible exhale the child approached a body of water that seemed to react as a mirror, its surface smooth and undisturbed as her blush colored eyes looked down at her reflected image. She found her throat feeling as if she needed to scratch it, telling her she was thirsty but she could not help but examine her predominant scarring marks. Her large ears fell against her skull as she looked over her marred up throat, an easy tattle tale to why her vocalization was softer than those she encountered. The large slashing along her chest were ones she found to be curious in their length, what had done these things to her? Shaking her delicate skull she tried to rid herself of negative thoughts, moving that same skull down to the mirroring surface and disrupting its still picture. The feeling of the crisp and tasteless liquid was something she could describe as heavenly, but it only caused her stomach to chime in and express its discomfort. She knew she was hungry but how would she cure that, hunting was not something she found easy due to the absence of her tail. Balance became difficult with making swift turns. Slowly the child lifted her head from the disturbed waters and looked up to the almost full mistress in the sky, maybe she could catch another unsuspecting squirrel? RE: Blooming in the moonlight - Athena - Oct 15, 2014 [dohtml] It was almost time. She took this chance to take in the Lake once last time before she gathered her supporters and claimed these lands as theirs. This time she was determined to make this pack of hers thrive and be successful unlike her last. Her time was now and she was going to take advantage of it. Her father had always said she was going to be a failure, but she was constantly proving him wrong. She was a strong, capable woman and she had showed him that when she took his life finally. This time she made sure that he was gone. He wasn’t coming back this time. She made sure of it. However, he’s been coming back in the night in nightmares that woke her up with a racing heart and breathless. Though, she got rid of him in real life, he was coming back to haunt her in the night. Though she tried to hid that it was affecting her sleep, she pushed on and tried not to think about it. She had better things to think about. This new pack, getting her supporters together and finally taking these lands for herself again. Athena was a busy woman, but today she was taking time to herself on the beach of the lake upon her rock that overlooked everything. As she turned her head to the right, she spotted another not too far from her. Gracefully leaping off her pedestal, she made her way towards the female, her posture confident and regal. As she came upon the woman, she noticed how her pale coat had an unusual hue to it. How odd? ”Hello, what brings you up here?” She asked politely before stopping a considerate distance from the girl, settling to her haunches as she looked upon her with her one-eye gaze. |
