The Feeling is Mutual - Hotei - Oct 18, 2014

@Muerda
Nearing midnight

Hotei sighed as he faced another sleepless night for who knew how long. He wasn't sleeping, probably because he didn't have his mate curled up beside him. He didn't have his mate because she didn't feel the need to tell him she was going to be gone for a while. The Tainn lifted himself onto all fours, and manuevered his large bulk over his sleeping pack mates and out of the den. Agitation rolling off him in waves, he set out to due what he had been doing for the past two weeks: going off to gaurd the borders. It would help him blow off some much needed steam, not to mention help him work out all his anger until he was so exhausted he had no other option to drag himself into the den and sleep. Hotei held no problem with the role Jessie assumed in the pack. He knew she loved to scout and there was no way he could ever turn her away from her passion. He didn't even want to try. What really ticked him off though was that she didn't tell him she was leaving on a scouting mission for however long. One day she was here, the next she wasn't.

She was a scout, so she was out of the territory often. It came with the job, he got that. So thats why he had waited a couple days, assuming that she went on a scouting trip and would be back. He had waited a week, and nothing. Thats when he started getting angry. But when her scent started fading from the borders and the two week mark had hit, the Tainn became furious. If that wasn't enough, Drestig's scent had also started to fade so Hotei could only assume that his friend had tagged along...with his mate. For what, protection? Hotei could've done that. But he was still working on striving for his own role as guardian, and for that, he needed to be in the territory. Still, Jessie could've asked him to join her and he would've asked Triell. But Drestig? The very idea of his mate asking another man for protection made him see red. Jessie was his, no one else's. No matter how fucked up they were.

Hotei knew he wasn't thinking straight. He wasn't thinking logically. He was letting his anger get the best of him. Again. What he needed to do was calm the fuck down, but that probably wasn't going to help him. He was running on limited sleep and his fury seemed to be rolling off him in waves. So as he prowled the borders, he hoped to god no one crossed his path.

You and your dad

Muerda Lospire

What a tragic mishap

She couldn't sleep. No, she wouldn't sleep. Even though it was some time late in the night and it was cold Muerda did not feel comfortable sleeping with the others. In fact she often times found herself wandering to the old tree den she had deeper in the Spectral Woods. But even tonight no matter where she was she couldn't sleep. Maybe it was just the fact of not feeling safe yet or maybe she was just getting some insomnia.

The Lospire woman was merely wandering around the borders at this point. Though it seemed she wasn't paying close enough attention to where she was walking. A small dip in the ground caught her paw and Muerda was left to stumble a bit. "DAMMIT!" Her words were a harsh growl all around to hear. Even though her paw was a bit sore she wouldn't let that get in the way of her late night stroll.

It wasn't long until the sound of another walking made her look deep into the darkness. His figure was barely visible in the darkness. The other wolf was simply like a shadow that lived by itself. "Excuse me," Her voice was soft in the dark. She hadn't recalled meeting this one yet. Perhaps she had seen him in passing once or twice but not enough for him to stick in her memory. "Do you know if we have a healer around?" It was a rather simple question for starters and hopefully the male would be kind enough to answer.

He was immersed in his own personal cloud of anger but he still kept himself alert, for he wouldn't let danger enter the territory. It didn't matter how pissed he was and much he wanted to wallow in his fury. No matter how antisocial he was to the pack, they were still family. Therefore, his attentive black ears caught the pawsteps nearby before he heard the very loud curse. His lips curled in a snarl, but no sound came from his maw. If this was an intruder, he didnt want to alert her of his presence. As his hackles began to rise, his muzzle caught the scent of the woman's pelt. His snarl formed from one of warning, to one of annoyance. Great, a pack member. And a woman nonetheless. He heard her pawsteps come closer and he rolled his yellow gaze. He didn't need this, but of course who was the boss 'up there' had decided he was going to have company.

The bulky male eyed the woman as she came near, barely able to discern her figure in the pitch black of night. Her presence annoyed him and he was going to make it clear that she was not wanted. The move of a bastard, but he had long come to terms that indeed, at times, he was a bastard. And this would be one of those times. Unfortunately, the woman would be his victim. "We have no healer," he rumbled in a dangerous tone. She had disturbed him and the waves of fury increased as he let the fire within rage. "Leave me be woman," he continued. Turning, he made his way to leave for the Tainn feared the gates of his fury had only barely been opened.
