Party Over Here - Titan - Nov 13, 2014

This is ALL WELCOME and has NO POSTING ORDER WHATSOEVER It might get a little hectic, but hopefully everybody has fun with it

[dohtml]

Titan had originally been out looking for more herbs by the creek, but another scent had grabbed his attention. The delicious smell had steered the dark male off course and taken the youth to the edge of the empress trees. It was almost like a cross between the musty scent of elk, the lighter smell of deer, and the wet earthy smell of moose. The decaying scent wasn't too bad which told Titan that the animal had died rather recently, but he couldn't tell what it had died from just yet. He had closed the distance between the food and himself, and Titan's nose continued to survey the scents blasting into his face. He could finally smell sickness on the animal.

It wasn't until he found the creature that Titan had to stop in awe at the sight of it.

It was an absolutely hug mound of dark brown fur and beast laying dead in a ditch. Titan didn't know it, but the wood bison had been an old 1700 pound male who had died because of a fatal leg injury which had quickly become infected. The male had been 2000 pounds when he had gotten his injury, but the injury had mad him lose weight and become more and more ill until death finally took him. Now the ravens overhead simply waited for something like a wolf to come and open up the huge body for them.

"What in the world is this thing." He gaped at the sheer size of the animal before approaching it cautiously. No other predator scents were around which surprised the young male. He would have thought that a bear or coyotes would have come around by now. I guess I'm just really lucky! He thought excitedly as the Thorben circled the body then peered down at its face. It was so strange looking.

"GRRAAAWWWULP" Titans stomach decided to call out as the scent of food spurred him forward towards the beasts chest and belly. He was insanely curious as to what the animals heart looked like. So Titan began to dig in intent on feeding on the best part of the carcass, its heart, and filling his belly.

RE: Party Over Here - Hexamora - Nov 13, 2014

Whoop! -throws confetti all over the place- And don't mind Hex as she watches from the sidelines for a bit first before joining.

[dohtml]

"Where the hell am I now?" A silky tone broke the silence as a lone she-wolf ivory in color stood in the midst of a pile of heart shaped leaves, a look of confusion plastered on her face. Hexamora had recently stumbled upon these strange lands and it didn't take long for her to become all turned around in the unfamiliar landscape. To her left flowed a babbling creek and to her right was an almost never ending row of empress trees and....what was that? A peculiar scent teased her nostrils that held the strangest of smells. A mixture of musk, wet earth and a lighter smell all mingled together and drove her senses mad trying to figure out what was creating this smell. Though odd in smell it also smelt delicious and her stomach agreed with her nose, letting out a loud rumble and gurgle. It had been some time since her last meal and her gaunt frame was evidence of that. Man, if this odd smell was food then she was in luck and there was only one way to find out. She had to follow the scent trail.

With a tilt of her head and quick whiff she was off in the direction the smell permeated from, a new burst of energy fueling her every step and the idea that her belly would soon be filled to the brim with the deliciousness of meat. With the intoxicating smell all around her now a cloud of steam bellowed from her parted jaws as she loped closer and closer to the source of the smell, the result being a strange creature large in bulk and covered in brown fur. A quick lick to her maw followed her precious discovery until a new scent reached her nose, her steps coming to an abrupt stop. Wolf. Wrinkling her nose a silent snarl found its way to her lips. Someone had beat Hex to her meal. Still under the cover of the trees, Hex focused her bi-colored gaze on the mound of meat meant to be for her as a swarthy pelted wolf made his way over to it, clearly drawn by its smell much like she had been. As she watched him silently disgust began to rise in her throat. He was eating her food and this was not sitting right with her. Nobody stole from the Beauvau woman!

RE: Party Over Here - Enoki - Nov 13, 2014

[dohtml]

Restlessness had once more paid Enoki a visit as she trotted along the Ridge's boarder in an attempt to dispel the annoyance that plagued her quite often these days, her brother Mordacai not far behind her. Perhaps it was the colder weather as of late that brought on these bouts of restlessness, but the Ashrelle woman did enjoy the cold and bounding through the fresh powder as the tiny flurries fell from the pale grey sky, credit for that belonging to her heritage of being a mountain wolf. A thought then occurred to Enoki realizing that she had some free time and was sure Mordacai would enjoy stretching his legs on the way to heartleaf creek. It was one of her favorite spots to visit whenever she could and seeing as Mordacai was still new to the lands, perhaps he would enjoy seeing more of the Lore. So with a woof to grab his attention and a mischievous grin on her face she then bolted in the direction of the creek with Cai close on her heels.

After two days of traveling they finally arrived to the creek and the most odd of smells confused the Ashrelle woman as it blasted in their faces. "This smells so weird.." She informed her brother as her feet thought for her and began to follow its trail, ears pricked forward in curiosity and alertness in case this led to danger. The closer they got the stronger the smell became, but that wasn't all that reached her nose now. A second smell entered her nostril, but this scent she recognized and instantly it put her at ease. Their fellow pack mate, @Titan was here, no doubt in search of more herbs to restock the infirmary. Following the mixture of scents her tail wagged contently behind her once her and Mordacai came upon an interesting sight. Tucked in the hole of a ditch lay a large beast with a brown colored pelt and by large she actually meant massive. This thing whatever it was, was huge and smelt divine! Not long after her amber gaze settled on the mound of beast did she catch sight of the silvery lad on the other side of the creature with his head buried in its chest. Lucky kid was eating the best part. With a woof she alerted him of their presence before approaching closer, poking a paw at the carcass. "Hiya! Do you know what this thing is, Titan? Its so huge, but smells so good."

RE: Party Over Here - Mordacai - Nov 13, 2014

Cai had been following his sister for two days now. For once the younger Ashrelle was content to let his sister take the lead. Life in a new pack had not been as easy to adapt to as he had presumed. He found himself stressed by all of the new faces and new places, but luckily winter was coming. Cai welcomed the promise of thick snow with open arms. Finally something that would remind of home! Briefly, Cai wondered if his sister knew where she was going. They were getting rather far from home. This fact only made it more shocking to stumble across another one of their pack mates with his head half buried in the chest of a some massive beast's carcass. Cai's jaw fell slightly ajar as he took in the size of this animal. How lucky were they to stumble upon such a thing.

After two days of travel Cai was starving and whined as Enoki started off with small talk. "Kiki, we dont need to know what it is to eat it! Not when it smells like this!" Cai pleaded as he sniffed the air for emphasis. Tongue lolling out to one side of his open maw, Cai's amber eyes met his sister's as he gave her a playful smile. With that, the dark male bounded over towards the carcass. Titan was at the chest, probably digging in to find the heart. Cai didn't blame him, that was the best part of any animal. He would have claimed it for himself had he been the first to find this prize. As it was, he decided to settle for the liver which always seemed to give him the most energy. He would need it for the trip back home. With that the onyx male began to do his own digging, a little ways down the carcass form where Titan was.

RE: Party Over Here - Kova - Nov 13, 2014

Thinking of dating this forward a day
[dohtml]

Kova had wandered off from his mothers little group long after they had met with the Cut Rock River wolves. He hadn't meant to get lost, but unfortunately the new landscape had tricked him in the wrong direction. To make things worse, Kova had played in the creek for a while swimming around the deeper parts. After he got out of the creek he had lost his original scent trail and could not find his way back.

So now the child was chilled by the water still soaking his coat, hungry, lost, and unsure of what to do with himself. However the pup wasn't horribly worried about his sticky situation. Whenever he had gotten lost before somebody had always found him.

So the pup decided to follow what his gut was telling him to do. That was to get warm and dry, fill his belly, and find a safe place until someone found him.

First Kova cleaned himself. Much like his mother did whenever he was wet from rain, the child tried to lick his fur backwards. This was very hard to do since he couldn't crane his head a certain way. So the task of drying himself took a rather long time.

It was during his cleaning session that the wind had shifted bringing the smell of decay with it. Kova had already been hungry, so the chance to eat broke him out of his cleaning regiment and urged the child towards the source of the smell. He was somewhat confused though, because the smell of this animal was much different than the deer, elk, and moose that he had seen and eaten before.

As the child neared the site he noticed the smells of various wolves floating on the air. The young wolf pauses again unsure of whether he should proceed or not. He was so hungry though!! His deep blue eyes spot a white wolf ahead of him on top of the small knoll looking down at something below the hill. Does she know where the food is? Cautiously, Kova padded forward. He dipped his body low to greet the adult tucking his tail deep under his belly and whining cutely to attract @Hexamora 's attention before warily approaching her. As the child topped the knoll and glanced down he spotted the three other dark colored wolves gathered around some freakishly fat moose. Or maybe it wasn't a moose, Kova wasn't entirely sure.

"You're very pretty miss. Did you catch this food with them? May I have some please?"

He asked hoping to get a nod or words of approval from the white woman to go and eat. In his pack he and Noble were always the first to eat, but Kova wasn't sure if these wolves had the same rules. He wasn't even sure if they were some other family he had run into or not.

RE: Party Over Here - Firefly - Nov 13, 2014

[dohtml]

Fly had decided to head over to a nearby creek to do some fishing. It had been ages since she had gotten the chance to take part in her favorite form of entertainment. However, as the russet wolf approached the creek she caught a familiar scent. Kova. There were no other scents co-mingling with his and that worried Fly a bit. She wasn't sure, but she believed that the pups weren't supposed to leave the Downs' borders without supervision. Was Kova's wanderlust getting him in trouble again? Fly sighed, knowing she would go in search of the silver prince. She would always go looking for him as long as he wanted to be found and sometimes, even if he didnt. The huntress had taken it on herself to see to Kova's safety ever since the day she found him with the injured moose. Today would be no different.

The boy's scent trail led away from the creek and Fly followed it to a small grassy knoll. Upon approaching the base of the knoll she caught the scent of bison. Odd, she had not found one of those around here though she had once seen one when traveling with her mother. Though the smell of bison, dead bison to be specific, was powerful, the girl could also catch the scents of several other wolves. She caught Titan's scent and two other scents similar to his own. Pack mates, Fly assumed. There was another scent that was very unfamiliar to her and as Fly located the source of it she was dismayed to see Kova talking to a strange wolf. It was a she-wolf with pale fur and eyes of two separate colors. But there was something else about the eyes; they just didnt seem right. Fly tensed as she took a step up the hill towards Kova, wary of this female and ready to protect Kova if necessary.

RE: Party Over Here - Hexamora - Nov 13, 2014

[dohtml]

She couldn't believe what she was seeing. The single wolf that was feasting upon her carcass had now multiplied to three, three wolves that were stealing from her. Preposterous! Mid snarl at the scene playing before her her attention was drawn away by the presence and scent of another wolf, but this time it was ridiculously close and belonged to a pup. Great, just what she needed. "You're very pretty miss. Did you catch this food with them? May I have some please?" Hex heard come from her right, head craning to settle her heterochromic gaze on a ball of gray fluff. The brave little guy couldn't be more than six months old as he approached her with his tail tucked pathetically beneath his belly in a typical display of submission. Had an idea not popped into her head at that moment she would have shooed the pup away, ignoring his annoying whine and plea to be cared for. He wasn't hers to care for.

Clicking the false sense of caring switch on she forced a look of sincerity to appear on her face, lowering her head to make it easier on her to interact with the pup. Oh this was going to be fun. "You poor thing must be starving. I would be there is a problem." She cooed sweetly as her gaze pretended to take in his current condition. Now came the lie that would gain her access to her precious meal that was being robbed from her. "I had brought that big beast down by myself. It was very sick and I did it a justice by ending its life then wandered off to the creek to grab a quick drink before I sat down to eat, but when I returned these strange wolves appeared and started eating my hard work." A heavy sigh followed her words in an attempt to emphasize her words being true as if the ordeal exasperated her. Hex let a few moments past to give the poor kid some time to try and process what she was saying before continuing her figmented story. "I'm only one small wolf and I can't possibly take on those three larger wolves by myself." The ivory woman knew the pup couldn't do anything for her, but perhaps her well worded story would stir something up in his tiny brain. He had to be good for something, right?

It seemed as if his good luck was coming to an end for many wolves, almost all at once, began to converge upon the site. They had all been drawn to the place by the carcass's cloy smell that made their stomachs rumble. Titan didn't notice anybody arrive as his head was stuck deep in the bison's chest cavity while he finished off the heart of the beast. Even Enoki's alerting "woof" escaped his attention as Titan dug into the flavorful meat. It was so good! Definitely the best he had tasted so far. Though Titan himself had yet to taste moose for himself. Or fish for that matter.

He ate until the stuffiness inside the enclosed space caused him to retract his head. It was then that Titan bristled seeing other wolves around he and his meal. At least until his eyes adjusted to the light and recognized Enoki and Mordacai. Once he realized who they were the young male flattened his fur and allowed his tail to wag. Unfortunately for Enoki the dark Thorben had not heard her question. So he never responded to it. Instead he flicked his ears to the side and uttered a greeting whine to his two pack mates.

"Hey guys! What are you doing here?" Titan asked before shaking his head to clear his face of a piece of meat that hung from his left eye brow. Snorting quickly, Titan rid his nose of the smell of meat so that he could smell the air around them. He definitely didn't feel like getting caught with his head stuck in the moose, elk, deer thing and being vulnerable to something like a bear. Although he was less afraid of that now that he had pack mates around.

RE: Party Over Here - Kova - Nov 13, 2014

[dohtml]

Kova began to smile and beat his tail against the ground as the white woman talked to him in a kindly manner. She certainly didn't seem like she was going to hurt him at all! Instead the wily wolf spun a tale to suit her needs in this particular situation. She explained to Kova how she had taken the bison down by herself because it was sick. Kova nodded slowly. His father had explained how their prey could get hurt or sick, and that it was easier to catch them when they were like this. Tokino had mentioned how healthy animals could hurt a wolf very badly if they tried hunting them. So he knew that what she said was probably true, though he wondered just how sick the beast had been to be beaten by a single wolf. It had taken four of his pack mates plus himself to take out the injured moose that had wandered into his parents territory.

When she said that she couldn't take on the wolves who were eating from her carcass, Kova grew annoyed and angry with them. It wasn't nice to steal someone's catch. Even the pup knew that. However as Kova looked down at the three wolves he couldn't help bu feel like outright attacking them or trying to intimidate them would work. Especially since he was a pup still. Besides, two of those black wolves were huge and he didn't feel like getting muzzle grabbed for talking out of place or being insubordinate.

"Maybe we could just talk to them. Tell them that it's yours. I think they'll understand."

Kova said while glancing back at the woman. His tail had drooped back to a comfortable position as the pup grew more comfortable beside the stranger.

"Hey.. What's your name anyway. I'm Kova."

He asked before glancing back to the three wolves below them. Kova had half a mind to walk right down there and ask them if they knew that they were stealing from the yet unnamed white woman.

RE: Party Over Here - Aesire - Nov 13, 2014

Lurking and watching seemed to be her forte as she traveled forth from her rather awkward encounter with Andromache to the creek just south west from where she had been. Curiosity had plagued her to know what was going when she heard voices and caught the scent of at least two or three wolves entwined with each other. Has she stumbled upon pack lands? Shit. She gazed through some bushes that her large form had hidden most of her in. Her legs and rump were protruding out the back end of the bush and she was making an awful amount of noise. They would have to be deaf to not hear her probably. She cursed inwardly as the somewhat socially anxious femme tried her best to keep the noise down to a minimum with the hopes of not being caught despite the fact that she probably already was.

The mottled woman with all of her natural and earthy tones fought her way out of the bush and ran around slightly out of site as she looked for another bush or something to hide in. She didn't want social interactions. She didn't want to risk that one of the wolves in the group would catch her and kidnap her for trespassing. She didn't want to risk the fact that one of the wolves in the group might be one of Rainar's family members sent to hunt her down for justice in what she had done. The emerald eyed fae pushed her way towards another bush with a tree right next to it. She looked through the leaves that blocked her view partially in order to get a good look at the wolves. She didn't see any of Rainar's direct relatives but that didn't mean some distant cousin was not hunting her down for her pelt.
