RE: Party Over Here - Aesire - Nov 17, 2014

[dohtml]

Being the ninja that she was, she had been discovered by another wolf and she froze, her rump sticking out of the bush that she was currently attempting to hide in. She knew that the wolf could see her but she preferred to think that it was a silly notion. She remained completely still and waited for the other wolf to leave and when the other wolf did end up leaving, she removed her front from the bush and watched in observation as the others interacted. She did not say a word and she kept her steely gaze of emerald eyes fixed upon those who were talking. She noted as the boy who called himself Titan took his leave from the group in an awkward manner. Another arrived and had announced herself as Iopah. There were a few others and she took account of the names being introduced. She would analyze them until she could find a point where she might be interested in injecting herself into the conversation.

The entire thing seemed more like a party to her and she didn't care too much for parties. To her, they were annoying and useless and purposed no means of accomplishment. All the wolves did was sit around and talk, maybe eat something from the caches. Parties had left a bad taste in her mouth from a young age because her father had held a fondness for social interactions. She didn't mind social interactions, but she didn't throw herself into them unless it was for a good cause. Her mottled form was sitting up straight in the shadows, her paws out in front of her in a regal fashion as her slight change in behavior worked to her advantage. She was a large wolf by nature and so her body was visible behind the bush as she lurked in the shadows like a creeper who lurked on all of the popular kids in high school.

RE: Party Over Here - Enoki - Nov 19, 2014

[dohtml]

With it being keen that he wasn't going to reveal his name unless hers was given she pointedly ignored him from that point on. Enoki was not keen on giving her name out either. So instead she switched her attention from the pup, shadow one and shadow two to her brother who was now conversing with the Barberi woman. The roundness of her ears swiveled a bit to catch what words were being passed and ultimately ended up laying flat against her skull when Iopah mentioned growing up with their older brother. Mordaci had been a pup like herself when the stories of Kele were told and wondered if they held the same effect on him as it did her. Did he think Iopah as a threat now that he knew their past were linked and not in a pleasant way, or would he see past it all like Enoki now did?

A pang of sympathy tugged at her heart watching Iopah instantly retreat once the words left her mouth, clearly still coming to grips with the painful past that was being brought up once more, though brief. She knew the light colored woman would leave soon and so rising to her paws Enoki made her way back over to the carcass, sending a friendly woof of goodbye in the womans direction as her frame jogged off towards her home. Taking a glance around there were less wolves around the carcass now, but being as full as she way she saw no point in sticking around anymore. Home and her warm little den were calling her name to come and take a nice nap while her food digested. Mm, she did love napping after a good meal, but there was no way she was going to leave herself vulnerable around a gathering of strangers even if her brother was there. No, it was time to head home.

And so after making quick word dislodging a huge chunk of meat to take home for the pack cache, the piebald woman gave a low woof to Mordacai that she was leaving and he wasnt forced to return with her. He could easily follow her scent trail back if he became lost and with that she paid no mind to the other wolves as her mixed colored pelt turned towards the ridge and trotted off, her meaty prize clenched firmly between her jaws. She wondered if the newest ridge pups have had the pleasure of feasting on bison before. It would surely make for a wonderful treat for the little princes. That was the thought that passed the front of her mind while her frame turned into a silhouette then completely disappeared from sight. Home was calling her name.

RE: Party Over Here - Mordacai - Nov 19, 2014

[dohtml]

Mordacai straightened up as the light colored woman, Iopah, claimed to have grown up with his brother. His mind began to spin as the facts slowly added up. She had to be talking about Kele. As a pup, Cai had heard the stories of Kele and now those stories were somehow intertwined with this Iopah's past. Cali was going to ask her to explain, but she made a hasty retreat. Cali's amber eyes watched Iopah's form retreat and he swelled with disappointment. He had wanted to talk to her more, but he would not chase after her. If she was running then clearly she did not reciprocate his feelings and would not want to talk. With a sigh, Cai bent over to tear a thick piece of meat off of what was left of the bison's back fat.

Enoki woofed at him to let him know she was leaving and though Cai knew he did not have to follow her right away, he did. Quickly stretching his muscles, the swarthy male rose to all fours, grabbed his take-home meal, and followed after his sister. As he did, he wondered if things between them were better now. After their last hunt together, the two of them had been angry and tense with each other. Today's meal was shared pleasantly enough, but Cai wondered if the tension would reappear once they were safely within their own borders. Still, he was relieved to see that the two of them still had each other's backs when it came to foreign threats.

RE: Party Over Here - Kova - Nov 25, 2014

I know we chatted about spreeing a play fight in here but I think I would rather spree that hunt thread you put up that I forgot to post to. So Im going to pull Kova out now.

[dohtml]

Kova glanced to the mean gray woman as she answered his earlier comment and spoke of his father. Instantly the boy was curious as to how the oddly smelling she wolf knew his father. However he was unable to ask her anything further as the she wolf began to slowly slip away form the group. Another space was added to the carcass as Iopah leaves leaving only the three Ridge wolves and the three Thorn wolves. Though Primrose appears for a moment to comment to Kova about the situation then leaves with some meat for herself. The silver boy watches as Titan Thorben leaves the group before telling the others not to harm Kova.

Thinking the silver hued black wolfs actions were rather odd, Kova grimaced before glancing to Firefly. She hadn't eaten anything, and the woman seemed perfectly content to stick by his side as Kova finished up.

The child was now uncomfortably full. His stomach ached as he lifted his head from the food and stepped lazily back from the kill. His silver fur was still a bit ruffled from the intense gazes of the adults. Kova obediently kept his gaze away from all but his two caretakers. Though he did note the actions of the two other dark wolves as they both left the bison and headed off into the landscape. Pressing himself lightly against the side of Florence to show his appreciation for the male's company, Kova then twisted around and began padding away from the carcass himself.

Now what... Kova wondered before pausing about 13 feet away from the other wolves and the bison. He looked towards Firefly with an innocent face then glanced to the other strangers. Another wolf scent caught on his nose as the boy noticed Aesire for the first time. However Kova mostly ignored the wolfs scent. He had no business with the stranger who didn't have the courage to come out and get some meat for herself. Besides he was actually missing his parents a bit now. Or rather the warmth and security he received while being with the family. Kova had learned from this experience that most strangers were not the friendly kind. Even amongst numerous wolves the child had not felt the warmth that he had with his family.

"I wanna go home... Florence? Firefly? do you know the way back to mom? Can you take me?"

He turns to look towards his pack mates while a hopeful tail wag moves his rear end from side to side.

RE: Party Over Here - Firefly - Nov 25, 2014

[dohtml]

Firefly was relieved as the wolves started to leave one by one. First the aggressive she wolf had left, then the pair of swarthy wolves that smelled like Titan, and finally the strange woman that Fly had not cared for. There were still a few strangers around, but now Fly was more content to sit with Kova until he was ready to leave. As he pulled away from the carcass she was relieved to see that he seemed full now. The russet huntress kept a watchful eye on the teen as he padded further away from the bison carcass and a feeling of relief swept through her as he asked to return home. Fly looked at the silvery pup with an innocent gaze in his blue eyes and his tail wagging playfully. She knew that he was her charge and she was happy to do whatever she needed to to take care of, and as long as he was safe she was happy to do whatever made him happy.

Still, she was glad that they were on the same page for now. Nostomania had struck them both. "Of course. Let's go home, my prince." Fly said warmly. With a quick glance at Florence to make sure her large friend was also ready to leave, Fly grabbed a piece of the bison meat between her jaws and departed from the carcass. She let her side brush against Kova's as she passed him and flickered her russet tail to indicate that he should follow her. With that, Firefly and her not-so-little prince headed for home.

RE: Party Over Here - Florence - Nov 30, 2014

It almost seemed as if a signal had gone off to everyone, as wolves began to leave shortly after the first wolf had left. Not that it mattered much to Florence, as he finished his piece of meat before glancing over to Kova and Fly. The pup had moved away from the bison, after pressing to his side lightly. It was clear Kova had eaten his fill and possibly even eaten a little beyond that. Flornece shifted to his paws, as Fly glanced over to him as she moved over to Kova with a piece of meat in her maw. It was clear that they were going to leave now and for that, Florence was grateful. He wanted to get away from the gathering and get Kova back to the safety of the pack and his parents.

Leaving without a second glance to the wolves still gathered or the carcass, Florence fell into step with Fly and Kova, falling to the back of the small group slightly so the pair were in front of him. While Fly was the one who was in charge of Kova, Florence did not want to drop his gaurs until they were well away from the spot with the bison and closer to the pack borders. Until then, he would make sure both Kova and Fly were safe.

For a brief moment, Florence entertained the thought that maybe, he would meet one of the wolves gathered here again, especially the woman Kova had been talking to and trying to protect. It wasn't a out of place thought, if the packs were close enough and that a few of the wolves had been loners. Maybe those without packs might turn up at Black Thorn Downs borders the closer winter came?

But Florence pushed those thoughts aside for now and focused on heading home.

RE: Party Over Here - Aesire - Dec 07, 2014

[dohtml]

Aesire watched quietly, which was unusual for her, as all of the wolves left one by one until only one remained. She kept her eyes narrowed as she slowly backed out of the area, careful not to make a sound in order to be caught by the remaining wolf. She took a deep breathe as she simply walked away. She was done there and she knew she would have to continue on to fight a home before winter. Instincts made her look to the mountains. Yes, a pack on the mountains or even the heights would do quite fine. Without another word, the lightly peppered femme would push off at a decent speed and a wide gait towards the mountains. The winds of winter were due to be setting in soon.

She continued to think about her own journey and what her destiny might be. Was she meant to be exiled or was that by free will of her father? Philosophical questions did not suit the female the right way. She made in clear to hold herself high as she walked as she pulled herself out of the shy, exposed, and creepy slump that she seemed to have fallen into. She had to stay strong for her own mind.

RE: Party Over Here - Hexamora - Dec 07, 2014

[dohtml]

Silently like a ghost the ivory clad female watched as the participants of the feast made their ways off to who knew where. It didn't matter to the Beauvau woman where they went now, as long as it left her in peace with the remains of the bison to eventually have her own fill since her appetite had been ruined by the bombardment of wolves upon the kill site. A small crane of her head upwards revealed a flock of ravens circling above waiting for their turn to dine on the delicate meat, a light snarl of her lips being the adequate response to this. There would be no peace even though the area was nearly abandoned by belly stuffed wolves. No, she would have to vacate the area herself for an hour or so to give the land time to settle from the excitement that occurred only minutes ago.

Reluctantly rising to her feet and giving her dirt riddled fur a good shake to clean it a bit, her two toned gaze settled on the bloated remains of the bison, her bison, for a moment before turning her back to it. She would have her fill of the kill soon enough and perhaps a refreshing drink from the near by creek would help to reign in the good mood she had been in before the thieving bastards had appeared to take her food. Hexamora would remember the faces of those she met here and the next time their paths crossed may not be the brightest. Thieves had to be punished did they not? The thought alone brought a sickening smirk to her ebony lips as her paws fell loudly on the collection of fallen leaves that littered the ground. They would pay alright. It didn't take long for her snow colored form to soon disappear among the trees, the only thing remaining now being the bison as one by one the ravens from above swooped down to fill their out gullets. The sound of their awful squawking now the only thing filling the area.
