Be prepared - Weldering - Mar 17, 2011

[dohtml]

The ever growing threat from Swift River was always on his mind, though despite not trusting the wolves of this other pack it was rather strange how one of the wolves he cared for was perfectly comfortable living there - Borlla. He frowned lightly at the thought, he also wondered to himself if she would remain in Swift River or maybe one day would see what Indru was really like and maybe even join Midnight Plateau... well he could wish couldn't he? The only other wolves he cared for was the ones that lived amongst him. Alex was fast becoming a trust worthy ally and a friend not to mention becoming rather close friends with Adonia and with Atiris... even if Atiris had gone missing.

He can be worried for several days now about his small timber coloured friend, though today he needed to put those concerns aside. He had promised his leader that he would help train and prepare the pack with sparring lessons and while the weather today seemed more pleasant then most that day had finally arrived. Moving into a small clearing that had been used for the pack meeting the week before he looked around for a moment. Finally his black muzzle was lifted up into the sky howling to call anyone who wished to brush up on their fighting skills or even anyone that just fancied watching.

we are all decieving, lost, and bleeding.

The wind seemed to forever blow against the place in the sky. Sometimes it howled, and

sometimes she was imagining it was when it wasn't. It grinded on her nerves the constant

noise of it she wished all the damn snow would melt. If the weather warmed she would

welcome the wind instead of having it like a time bomb ticking at her ears. Sniffing, she curled

tail tight at her legs, while she tettered on a narrow ledge. She had managed some sort of

fuzzy rodent for breakfast, and her stomach growled for more. She ignored it, knowing it

would suffice till later. Right now it'd been rather unevetful living up here, and she was headed

back to her ledge. She'd either sun-bathe or nap. Both, something that wouldn't require

thinking about how she wasn't doing much.

Leaning down, she bounded up a wider path circling to her favorite spot. A deep note echoed

bounced off the mountain stone. An ear swiped back listening to it intently. She didn't think it

was her Alpha, but sparring. That had her intrigued, and the possibility of meeting someone

else who was chained to this stone. She took a moment and it was soon decided where the

male was. Up further, and with a quick pace she climbed away.

When she came upon the scene she saw an ashen male with a dominant black mask and

matching markings. His eyes appeared blue, but she wasn't sure and strolled closer. She gave

a half-smile but it dissapeared fast, seeing she was the only one to answer right now. Oh well

maybe everyone else was scattered. Or had scattered at the word fight. "Hey."

ooc: I'll wait a little longer before the training starts for others to join in :]

[dohtml]

His howl to call the pack together had been an important one, he hoped that his comrades would take notice. Swift River was a growing threat and concern for the black masked male and it seemed as though nobody else in the pack were as worried about the other pack in Relic Lore as he was. While he certainly did not want to start war mongering by telling them all that Indru and his family were bidding for their blood he would certainly feel more satisfied if he knew that everyone in the pack was capable of defending themselves - for the sake of the future Alpha litter too.

His icy blue gaze leveled as his well chiseled maw lowered, looking around and quickly catching sight of the approaching unknown she-wolf. A new recruit? He wondered which of the two Alphas had accepted the stranger into the pack as he silently studied her looks for a moment before taking a few steps closer. <b style="color:#0d5b8c; font-family:geogia; font-size:13px">"Hey there." He murred back lightly in his own greeting. Looking around again briefly before attention for a second time settled on Skylah. There was no harm in a bit a smalltalk while waiting for the others (if anyone else did turn up) to arrive. <b style="color:#0d5b8c; font-family:geogia; font-size:13px">"I'm Welde, you must be new to the pack?" He asked, hoping that she would perhaps share her own name and maybe even how she wound up on the mountain side.

ooc; works for me.

we are all decieving, lost, and bleeding.

She was much for smiles and wagging tails, not for right now. She dipped her head to the larger male, "Welde," she said his name to get the ring of it, all better to remember it, "I'm Skylah. Yay, I met Alexander and his home sounded to good to pass up." It was spoken indifferently, it hadn't been exciting or anything. Just mere chance she'd happened upon him in the glade. Ears rotated in a neutral position, and she gave a look around the flat ground hoping this wasn't it. There had to be more members, someone else interested in watching.

Walking a little further she took a seat on the smooth stone. She wasn't worried much about the sparring fight. She was interested in Welde's skills, learning something new for a change. Wrapping her tail round her coppery rump, her orange eyes flickered to her companion. "Are you a guardian of the plateau?" She presumed he must have some skill to be holding a meeting on defense. And she wondere what the need was. If this pack had enemies she was unaware of, or if it was a mere precaution.

Be prepared - Angier - Mar 20, 2011

[dohtml]

Up, up, up Angier went; one step in front of another on top of stones and along gravel-filled paths, he followed his nose, led on by the scent of a female. The pika he had caught for breakfast earlier that morning was proving itself to be sufficient fuel to venture up the mountain; wherever she had gone, he was eager to find out. Then, the air carried a howl, a call, along the gusts of wind that blew over and around him. The Lyall’s ears perked forward and he began to scamper about the mountain side in order to heed its beckoning call. The simple song mentioned something about fighting skills, something that instantly brought the large male to the site of the pack den, where he was surprised that the lady he had been following was there...

His eyes darted from her figure before him to the dark male. They had been conversing about something, perhaps becoming acquainted with one another and he had seemingly interrupted. A nod of his head served as his initial greeting; he wasn’t sure yet if these two required his respect as a low-ranking wolf or a display of his superiority and he figured a neutral gesture would be adequate enough. A slight smile graced his tawny jowls as his tail gave one sweeping wag to hint at his excitement in meeting other members of his new pack. “H-Hi…” he stuttered, feeling awkward for having barged in on their little chat. “Is this… were you… I heard someone announce demonstrations f-for… fighting skills? Techniques? ‘s this the right place?”

Be prepared - Makita - Mar 21, 2011

solid; border-bottom:1px #000000 solid">

OOC: I'm gunna throw Makita in here cause she needs to step up as second. xD She also can't fight yet, but she needs to watch the techniques.

Makita grumbled a few bitter words to herself, kneen golden eyes searching the den. For what? The second hated being cooped up, though it was good for her recooperation that she was confined to her den. Her body was built for speed and, with a little luck, she'd be a good fighter too. I can't learn if I'm stuck in here, she thought, pawing a little at the ground anxiously. She heard a few voices a little bit away from her den. Her perked ears swiveled to the sound. Seeing that Makita does enjoy attention and she does enjoy company, she had to go see them.

Not hesitating for a second, she turned around in her spacy den (large for her, anyway) and put a few shaky paws out in front of her. She was healing quickly with the excellent care of the pack, but she was still in pretty bad shape. At least now she could talk, though. Glancing around her den once more and shuttering at all the ugly, foul smelling blood, she turned and limped out of her den, sort of dragging herself as she did.

It was cold, of course, which was something that always had Makita's hatred. The sky was partly couldy, the bright sun peering through thin dull grey clouds that floated slowly across the abyss of blue. Seeing the sun made a gentle smile light Makita's golden muzzle. She couldn't spend her time staring at the sky, though! Lowering her head, Makita stared ahead and took a big breath through her dark nose. She immediately picked up the scents of the wolves. There were three of them, two which she recognized. Weldering and Angier. Her smile widened at the thoughts of the two male wolves and she limped on.

After much limping, dragging, and grunting, the wolves came into view. There were three. As she had predicted, Weldering stood proud, his steel grey fur blowing lightly with the breeze. Honestly, Makita was proud to be able to work along side a wolf as bold as Weldering. Letting her smile widen once more, she glanced over to Angier, who was looking a little awkward. The third wolf was, of course, an average sized female, at least a year or two older than the second herself.

Seeing the air was clear of words, Makita decided to create her own. "Hello, Welde, Angier." she nodded her head gentle, smiling softly. She dragged herself a little further. While she was going to sit by Weldering, her partner as second, she instead stopped beside Angier, glancing up at him happily. Angier had nearly saved her life at one point in time and after her little meeting with him earlier in her den, she came to like the wolf. "What's going on?" She felt a little stupid asking that, as she was sure that the other wolves knew. Makita, though, didn't and she would like to. Curiously, her head tilted happily, her eyes glowing with the happiness of a yearling.
