Meeting My Match - Makita - Mar 18, 2011 [dohtml] solid; border-bottom:1px #000000 solid">
| OOC: This post isn't my best. Haha. :D Sorry for the random blabber. Makita sighed, alone again. She hated being confined to her den and she hated being hurt. It made her feel like she couldn't do anything and couldn't fully play her part as second, which she never imagined she would have. Fortunately, she did. Silently, she crunched her pearl white jaws around a plump snowshoe hare, something that had been caught for her earlier. Honestly, she loved this life. She had food waiting for her without her stomach getting hungry - compared to going a week or so at a time without food on her own. Constant company surrounded her (though she'd only met a few pack wolves) - compared to going days and days and days without company (once she'd been so lonely she nearly had an imaginary friend). Most of all (or at least at the top of the list), was that she had her own home - compared to being on the move for days and days and not knowing where to settle down or even where she was going at times. The life here was good. The blood of the tasty hare seeped down her throat, quenching the pinch of hunger that was hidden in her stomach. Luckily, she got to eat whenever her meals were brought to her (which she hated, since she usually does things herself), which was quite frequent. She loved it here, though there were still a few questions nagging at her that Alexander hadn't yet answered. Questions like 'Who are all the wolves in the pack?' or, the one that's more difficult to answer, 'When will I be better?' The most frequent question was 'Who took Borden's spot as second?' Honestly, she wanted to know who she was paired with. Today, she might just get lucky. The sky was very clear overhead, with a few white clouds streaking through the blue. Blinding light emitted from the sun. It was beautiful out. Yawning, Makita made a painful, stiff movement to stick her head and front body out the entrance of her den. She was still in horrible shape - not able to speak hardly at all, a few ribs broken, deep wounds that were nearly infected covering her body. But, she was healing in a place she enjoyed a lot and she wasn't dead. Life was good. |

Being alone was just something that Weldering was getting used too. Separated from his family at three months of age, not joining a pack until he was a yearling - then getting exiled from it. Not to mention blowing it with the one wolf he really loved, Lore Dauster. Then more recently whilst living in Relic Lore he had not been that alone with friends like Junai, Borlla, Ioni and Atiris, but now even they had either all gone, screwed him over or were out of reach from being contacted because of Indru and his brothers. Being in Midnight Plateau was meant to make him feel better and not as lonely - but right now that was not the case.
His idle black socked paws were dragged across the ground as he padded along, deciding to go on a small patrol through the packlands to take his mind off the boredom that plagued him constantly. His large bushy silver tail with it's blackened tip swaying gingerly out behind him, he was happy with wandering around and making himself useful to the pack but he had to admit he would have preferred some company.
Soon the scent of fresh blood in the air caught his attention, his nose tilting briskly into the sky for a moment to plot the direction in which it was coming from. Curiosity getting the better of him the Beta turned and moved toward the den. His twilight blue eyes settled on the wolf with a thin smile, yet his warm appearance seemed to fade when he spotted her injures and now worry and concern was what was left. <b style="color:#0d5b8c; font-family:geogia; font-size:13px">"Are you alright?" He called out softly, the concern evident in the tones of his voice as he slunk closer.

As Weldering sauntered closer to investigate the unknown she-wolf called back. 'Yea!' It was not the response he thought he was going to get. His head pulling back sharply a little confused. Weldering thought he had asked a rather stupid question after he had asked if she had been alright, she did not look alright - but apparently she seemed fine. Quirking a brow slightly he continued to slip even closer now moving so that he was a little off to the side but facing the den. Reclining back down onto his powerful silver toned haunches and letting his bushy tail curl neatly around his side and overlapping over his forepaws.
His blue eyes were still looking over the damage that covered her body, it made his healing shoulder wound look like nothing in comparison. <b style="color:#0d5b8c; font-family:geogia; font-size:13px">"H-how did it happen?" Stuttering slightly as he felt a little bit nervous all of a sudden, perhaps because he was being a bit bold and asking something that might have been quite personal. Realising his mistake he continued with an additional comment. <b style="color:#0d5b8c; font-family:geogia; font-size:13px">"If.. you don't mind me asking of course."
