7% Solution - Ace - Jan 03, 2015

@Heigen :D Blowing snow — 16° F/-9° C

[dohtml]

The day had started so nicely, with just a light fluttering of snow falling from the heavens and the slight curve of the sun peeking out from behind white, fluffy clouds in the sky. As it wore on the clouds darkened and the sun vanished, leaving behind still a light snow fall, but also with strong blowing winds that scattered the snow everywhere. The crystalline flakes blew harshly against his sides and face, causing hi, to narrow his eyes and lower his head. He had been on the very edge of the border when the winds started up, and he had a long way to go before he made it back to the pack den where it was warm and safe.

Although he knew his way around the foothills that Silent Moon plateau had made their home, it would be a challenge in itself to somehow make his way past and around all the dangers of the mountainside to his destination. There was always a rock hiding in the snow, or a deep hole that was covered by a thin layer of crystalline flakes, or even the blowing snow disguising the cliff side ahead. Anything could kill him out here in the wilderness, the trick to surviving was knowing how to avoid just that by taking precautions. In this case, that was moving slowly and carefully. Glancing around, Ace saw that he was somewhat close to the pack den, but still had a way to go in the harsh, blowing winds. He just hoped there was no other unfortunate soul stuck in the storm as well.

Heigen Colette

The snow storm had picked up rapidly. Wind blowing around whipping the snow against his side. He was trying to make his way back to shelter but it was hard with squinted eyes and heavy snow falling from the sky. Trudging through the snow he thought he saw another form moving not to far away. Stopping for a moment he wondered if that really was a form or if he was just seeing things in the whipping snow.

Deciding it wouldn't hurt to call out to the mysterious form the Colette man let out a deep rough bark. Hopefully the other, if it was real, would hear him over the winds. "Hello?! Is someone out there?" His voice was fighting to be heard over snapping winds and the fury of the snow. Shuffling forward he took in the deep musky scent. Someone was there. The scent spoke of male and it was of one he hadn't met. The scent of Silent Moon Plateau hung so heavily to the other's pelt it was rather obvious they had been there a long time.

Moving a bit closer to the form he offered a grin; that was if a grin could be seen through the snow. "I'm heading back to the pack dens. Care to join me?" He wold move onward wandering if the other would follow behind him or next to him. "Oh and by the way, my name is Heigen Colette, loyal guardian and tutor at your service sir." Keeping up the walking he hoped the other would be as friendly as he was himself.

"Speech."

Ace turned his head to look over his shoulder when a male voice called out if someone was there. His silver eyes could barely pick out the earthy coloured wolf, but when he came closer it was easier, a little bit. The blowing snow made it hard to look in any direction but down, so he only spared a glance to see who it was. As far as he knew, the earthy hued male was a foreigner to him, but as the rich aroma of Silent Moon Plateau was on his pelt, the Silver Male deemed him friendly. But rather than converse out in the cold, he wanted to get to the pack den first.

He nodded when the earthy hued male asked if he wanted to join him on the way to the pack dens. "Yes, I was heading there myself." Ace had to raise his voice a bit to be heard over the whistling winds. Moving forward once more, he followed the male, his brows raising in curiosity at the introduction of a name. Heigen Colette. He knew that name. His friend, Aesire, had told him that her cousin recently joined the pack. "I've heard of you before, Heigen. Your cousin Aesire told me that you had joined. Don't worry though, I'll keep your relation a secret." Smiling warmly, he picked up the pace so that they were padding side by side, slowly moving closer towards the pack dens. "I am Ace Caravello; it is a pleasure to meet you."

"Great minds think alike, my sir."

Keeping the pace rather slow but forceful against the winds he listened to the male. The silver man spoke of his cousin, Aesire, rather easily. About to snap something to protect the relation ship of Aesire and Heigen it was a relief when the man covered it up for him. "It's very much appreciated. I was about to snap, to be honest, but it seems you know my cousin and her wishes. I owe you." offering a smile, that was more than likely not seen due to the weather conditions, Heigen kept moving.

His tail tucked under him lightly as if to make sure the cold wind would not snap it off! He was awfully found of his tail and couldn't handle the thought of the cold taking his tail. "Ace, eh? A real noble guy, or so I've been told." A wolfish wink was given by his left eye to the Caravello man. "Aesire told me a bit about you. You're good in my book sir." Pulling himself through the wind next to Ace he swore he saw the structures of the pack den getting closer and closer. "We're almost there! We can make it quicker if we pick up the pace!" Running as hard as he could against the wind he found himself entering the pack den area. Quickly diving into the den he shook off his pelt to rid of the cold snow that clung to his pelt. "Ah, much much better." Smiling wide he walked to the pack of the den to lay down.

A surprised look emerged on the Silver Male's face when Heigen called him sir. Usually other wolves just called him by his name, not by a title or honorific. However, he didn't mind the ring of it, and glanced over at the earthy hued male with a smile on his maw, if the other could see it. He dipped his head in silent appreciation when Heigen thanked him for saying he would keep their relation a secret. Although he was curious as to why, he didn't ask, as there must be a very important reason and he didn't want to offend either of them by delving too deep into things he shouldn't be. "No need to owe me, I am simply doing what is right." Yep, his whole moral code right there. Plain as day. Mhmm.

He laughed softly when Heigen gave him a wolfish wink, telling him that he was in his good books. He hadn't met many wolves like the earthy hued male and female. They were both so very kind to him, none like he had seen before, but it made him feel good nonetheless. Like he belonged where he was in the world. Ace was broken out of his thoughts when Heigen called out that the pack den was in sight and took off in a swift sprint. Leaping forward to get his momentum going, the Silver Male followed his new friend (maybe?) out of the cold and into the warmth that the den held. Also shaking out his pelt to rid it of the clinging snow and icicles, Ace lay down in a sphinx like position facing Heigen. "It's much better in here than being outside, isn't it?" He smiled at Heigen as he spoke.
