Despite constant patrols... hunting, and simple mingling with her pack, Vlarindara still felt a bit of wanderlust in her blood.. calling her to move.. travel as she had as a loner. To find her brother. It was a simple thing.. excusing herself from the pack for a bit.. she requested permission of the alphas, explaining that she wished to range farther in search of the wayward Raigo. It wasn't simply that he was incapable of taking care of himself.. but she worried about his wellbeing..if he had enough to eat..a shelter and was uninjured. That..and the need to move played a part in her decision to leave. As of yet, she didn't have any idea just *WHERE* she belonged in the pack.. but knew that leaving without permission would only end in disaster.. as was the way with things. A quiet conversation and the equally quiet 'Okay, go' from the darker pelted Borden, a careful goodbye to the grey dusted white female Jaysyek and Vlarindara was on her way. She stopped just short of stepping away from the pack borders and looked back, reconsidering the choice of leaving...but knew that if Raigo had ranged farther than Cedarwood, he would most likely never be found if she to didn't range outside their territory.

A slow, quiet wuffing bark her vocal farewell for now to the lands she had known for the last few weeks before turning, her footsteps leading her from the boundaries. At first, she had scouted the open forests they'd chosen to live in, looking for any sign..scent or ..anything of Raigo..When she was only able to find a vague scent trail leading north, but it had faded after only a few minutes. That was the only idea she had of where he might have gone.. so Vlarindara struck out in that direction, hoping that she might run into him at some point or another. She hunted a bit along the way, but knew that the longer she took away from the pack, the less likely they would be to welcome her back.. at least.. the other wolves..she wasn't sure about either Borden or Jaysyek. So instead..she ate just what she needed to keep moving, and walked..or trotted to the North. AFte rthat first round of scents..she hadn't been able to get anything further of her brother.. and even after the sparser forest gave way to the thicker brambles, trees and brush of the Thicket of Secrets..she kept moving. Vlarindara didn't know the Thicket as well as she might like.. and she was wary of the bear that she had run into in the first few days of being here.. But the need to find her brother took precidence.

Before she knew it, the dense thicket gave way to a small opening.. and she almost stumbled at the sudden lack of underbrush. It.. was beautiful...This..clearing.. She could imagine the flowers and flora that might decorate the opened area within the trees.. as it was.. the icicles glistening off of the branches, some hanging on the taller remnants of bushes and ferns...The sun shining and making them sparkle.. and even the snow within the glade glittered like some kind of crystalline painting. Vlarindara was loathe to disturb the serenity of the clearing, but she felt almost compelled to move farther into it.. to..inspect the beauty first hand. Slowly, her feet carried her into the snow.. until she was standing in the middle of the open space and looking around. It.. truly was a sight to behold, and that bit of wanderlust within her breast kindled to a burning flame, and she began rooting around. First she stuck her head in the snow...then jumped and hopped..kicking and cavorting through the soft flakes like a trouble-less yearling. Something beneath her foot cracked and she froze, lowering her head to dig slightly in the snow.. to reveal a stout branch! IT had been so long since she'd played with one of these... Vlarindara adjusted her grip on the branch, balancing it in her jaws before she ran about the clearing..zig zagging and tossing the bit of wood into the air, then running to try and catch it.
