dante's inferno - Pacem - Mar 15, 2015 [dohtml]

The young boy's terror had only just begun as his wanderings brought him farther away from the home he so desperately craved and wanted to return to. He had gone some other direction as they all started to muddle together. The wanderlust he had once inherited was gone and he felt a need to curl up next to his mother and brothers, both of them, for a long winters nap. He needed to attend lessons with Iopah or hang out with Koda and talk. He needed to ask questions and remain curious but that life had been ripped away from him in a matter of second as he tried to follow the voice of one of his packmates out of the storm. It was an inferno of cold and heartlessness and he was stuck in the middle of it with no help. With these realizations reaching through his mind into the air around him that he might never see the Woodlands again, he started to lose what little hope he had. He took a deep breath, tears welling in his eyes as he looked around for some place to hide out until the nightmare ended. This had to be a nightmare... right? The young boy was terrified of what waited for him if he could not find his way home. Had his mom and siblings noticed his disappearance? Did they care? Were they looking for him? Once upon a time, Pacem Hervok knew the answers to these questions but no longer. The black coated child would curl up next to the giant roots of a large tree, closing his eyes and hoping for the best as he sheltered himself from the bitter and fierce winds. "Momma, help me!" RE: dante's inferno - Pacem - Mar 22, 2015 [dohtml] -Pacem Hervok- vade in pacem The young boy hissed as the other said that his mother was never going to come and that he should get up. "Getting up and moving got me into this mess in the first place. I'm not going to move." The boy was stubborn as he turned his face the other way from the stranger before him who mocked every fiber of his being. He bit his tongue from saying harsher things as the hunger started to gnaw at his belly. He had been lucky to find that deer carcass. Now, all he wanted to was curl up next to his siblings. He wanted to be home. He wanted the warmth of his mother and his family. He wanted lessons with Iopah and conversations with Koda and Miccah. He just wanted the life he had before he had taken to adventuring too far. Had his family given up the search? Would they ever find him or would they be better off with him gone? The young boy was torn between following the mean stranger or staying put. Was it worth death? In that instant, Pacem realized he needed to grow up and the boy knew it was time for him to behave like an adult... no matter if he wanted to or not. He would narrow his eyes at the boy. "Who are you, anyway?" His words were harsh and cold as he examined the other boy. He looked familiar but Pacem was sure he had never seen the boy before. [/dohtml] RE: dante's inferno - Kova - Apr 08, 2015 [dohtml] Kova struggled with wanting to growl at the dark boy. He kept his mouth shut though, as getting angry at some other wolf wasn't going to help his own predicament. Instead Kova counted to five before he felt his fleeting anger at the other pup slip away. Then he looked upon the miserable wolf who sat before him. He looked at Pacem as the young Hervok peered up at him with angry eyes. The question that followed was one that Kova didn't mind answering. Perhaps the other pup would give his own name in time, and maybe that might lead to another attempt at striking up a conversation. The gray wolf only hoped that he might be able to help the guy out a little bit. Even if Pacem hated him for doing so. “I'm Kova Lagina, lost prince of Black Thorn Downs. I happened to get lost in this strange place back during that bad snowstorm that hit a while ago. ” Kova offered a bit more than his name hoping to continue speaking with the other wolf. Telling the other pup how he got lost and hadn't found his family yet might make the other kid move forward instead of sitting there wishing for friends and family to find him. “I got lost then waited for mom and dad to find me... Like what you're doing. Then I realized that I would fall asleep and stay that way if I didn't get food soon... So I got up and moved.” Kova merely insinuated that "sleeping" meant death. The boy knew what death was, that it came to every animal including their prey, but he felt wrong openly saying such a thing to the other pup.
“I know how you feel... but now you have to get up.” The gray wolf insisted while looking to Pacem with a calm but slightly concerned look. He was stubborn to a fault, and now that Kova decided to help his age mate he wasn't going to just leave him to die. |
