RE: Every breath you take - Triell - Jun 17, 2015

[dohtml]
This love is the last time

She could, and she would fool him. Triell had always believed her to be real, seeing only truth. So he believed her actions a true reflection of the bite of his words. The lilt of her voice securing his assumptions he may have wounded her in turn. Had she changed? Since she wasn't throwing any more fighting words his way?

A growl rolled in his chest. A warning. It could have well been from a yearning heart than broken one. There was that piece of him wanting what could have been, to even put something in place to hold. Maybe, she didn't always stay around, but she sure came back. It didn't appear he had any more competition.

The mountain queen would break the space, the man became aware of the heat from her tawny cloak, the lingering perfume that curled about her. It would only take one step to embrace, one step to fall into a hazy, painless abyss. It would take little for him to fall.

"I can't give you what you want," darkly he murmured, raising his lips to show his teeth. As tempted as he was to graze her with them, he could not bring himself to. It was not him.  "I never could." It was with his last resolve he began to run back into the Bend, craving the heart of the territory where he believed she would leave him in peace.

RE: Every breath you take - Naira - Jun 17, 2015

Kept playing love like it was just a game

pretendin to feel the same, turn around and leave again

I can’t give you what you want. “It could be so easy.” she dared to whisper in counter to his argument revelling in his closeness, sensing just how precariously he held on to his self control. Her movements were measured as though what she was proposing was the most natural thing in the world. She reached out to press her nose into the thick fur of his shoulder.

So close. Almost… and then he was gone. Tease! she wanted to yell after him with a laugh, instead limiting herself to a silent smirk. Oh so noble Triell, of course he wouldn’t do something like that to his darling nameless mate. Naira had pushed her luck enough for one day and self-preservation was quick to take hold – it was one thing to tussle with Triell, another to take on his whole pack. She watched as he retreated through the trees knowing she had much work ahead of her yet.

First things first, she needed to check on Nova. At least the path was paved should her daughter need shelter with the grandchildren she carried. She also needed to visit the Lake and see if her youngest children had made their appearance yet. There was little doubt that she would be back but she wanted to conform to his expectations initially. Ever the drama queen she knew a prompt exit and leaving the Tainn to stew for a week or so before making a reappearance would have more impact than simply staying put. Next time she would employ more subtlety. He wouldn’t see her coming until it was too late.
