generation of the ages - Elettra - May 08, 2015 [dohtml] She was almost certain she was becoming a professional, a professional 'baby maker', that is, as she trudged through the lands awkwardly with a rounded belly, legs that looked thin like a cow in comparison, and a rather pissed off expression on her face. Elettra Archer had suffered through these awkward stages three times before and as always, could not wait for the moment to be over. Still, she figures this birthing has to be better then the last... for although the pain from her last litter was nothing in comparison to her first two and she had been careful to stay in the pack territory, a certain determined cougar had nearly been her and her children's doom, instead ending the life of one rather amazing wolf. She sighs at the thought of Guiness, moving closer to the pack den with a thunderous step. A step that sent a quiver down her spine and a sharp pain in her gut. She had been through this too many times not to know the signs and like a fat child hurrying to the scents of pizza and cake, Elettra Archer rushed into the pack den, snapping her mouth off at everyone to get the hell out of her way. Safely within it's confines, she moves to the back wall of the pack den where there is a rather large hole in the ground, a den dug out from the earth which she slips inside. It is the pack's Infirmary, more specifically, her Infirmary (as the back-up one was used by both Xetor and Morganna for their collected supplies and there was yet another which Angier and her had spent the night in, created by @Titan, perhaps..) that she had for her RE: generation of the ages - Angier - May 08, 2015 ...the conversation I had in my head with Angier's muse as I read this was great. "Are you sure this is the thread? Double-check it." "It's the birthing thread." "I'm not tagged, though? Titan was..." "Elettra yells for you right there." "Oh." Indeed, Angier had been nearby. Over the past few days, he had kept careful eye on his mate. Over the course of time since they had bred, Angier went through phases of sticking to her like tree sap, venturing away from her for several hours, and was now back to following her around. Judging by how many nights he had counted (he recalled stopping at around number 55 or so sometime ago) and remembering what the milestones were in regards to Elettra's pregnancy the year before, he was so certain that their next brood was due to make an appearance soon. He had just finished scratching up a particular willow when his beloved's muffled, strained voice called to him through the trees. RE: generation of the ages - Elettra - May 12, 2015 Lol. OOPS! XD [dohtml] He was here, not finally, but quickly and suddenly the pain and panic of giving birth felt so much lightly now that she had the comfort of him at her side. Long ago, she would have felt so odd to feel such a way that she would have ran from such emotions, used denial and aggression in her favor in fear of weakness and over-trusting. Now, her devotion and trusting in him had become so natural it was unquestionable. Elettra knew he would come quick, having taken note of how closely he was with her during her pregnancies, how he only strayed long enough to make sure no one dared enter the lands unwanted while his unborn children and vulnerable wife were at stake. He counted the days, gathered the herbs and food and made damn sure no one did her any harm or gave her further stress in an already stressful time. Of course, Skoll had no at all helped with the situation, a manner which had only risen after the pack meeting had ended and Xetor's body had been recovered. Elettra left it up to @Angier to decide how to go about telling the pack members, though strictly made sure to mention his death and how he was buried within the pack territory was completely unknown despite the true information she had given her mate. Outwardly they would mourn Xetor's death, inwardly Elettra and @Morganna had every intention of finding out what happened. For the time her mind was far from her murdered nephew as another harsh cut of pain quivered through her body. She smiles lightly up to her mate, who blocked the whole of the opening with his mass as he looked down upon her. She huffs then, jutting her muzzle out to the space in front of her within the den. Certainly there was enough room, for over time and for a long while though there had been through for two (perhaps three if smaller) other wolves then herself. Unable to wait until he fully gathered himself inside, she yelps, gasping and wiggling about and soon after comes the first pup. She quickly goes to work as natural too her, the showing of a large, round pup. Brown with dark points and of course, a male. She already could imagine him fitting well into the colorations of @Skoll, @Deacon and the rest of most of her children, Castiel being very much the odd man out. She wonders now where @Greer may be, or even how long it would be before @Deacon would know of his new brothers.... Yet another rising of pain goes through her and she cries out, her paws pressing hard in the dirt. The second child to be born was clearly not one to be expected all around - its pale, sooty hues reminding her of her father and grandfather before him, Roman and Romanov. It was very peculiar to see as she cleaned the child, wondering exactly what Angier might think of it and then it dawned on her... It was a girl! She had been hoping for a daughter this year though had not gotten her hopes up, granted mostly males and dark colors were in the family. This girl was certainly a rarity, the very first daughter of Angier and Elettra. "Shes beautiful..." Elettra smiles, savoring the few moments she had to dote over her pale daughter and her large, molded son before yet another pain stirred, one she most certainly expected, having litters of three over her past two pregnancies. This time, she was granted with a smaller bundle, wet and granted with lighter hues of her brother. Panting, she nudges her last born just in reach of Angier, offering him the experience and chance to clean his child. Her silver eyes were bright yet a tiredness in her was obvious tough she eagerly awaits figuring out what her last child was to become - a boy, likely? RE: generation of the ages - Angier - May 13, 2015 It seemed she was in pain; and, of course, Angier had no idea as to what to do. He relied solely on her as to give him the cues as to what she wanted him to do. She gestured to him and, ever so carefully, he maneuvered his way inside the innermost part of the Infirmary, wedging himself behind Elettra as to support her. Her cry however made him halt, if only briefly, as he slowly settled down, his gaze never leaving her side until she reclined back. He nuzzled his temple to hers, bracing himself as she endured another contraction to produce another cub. Unable to find something suitable to say, a soft rumble of encouragement replaced the words he had meant to whisper in her ear. A wordless sentiment that relayed on some note how proud he was of her and that she was doing so well so far. RE: generation of the ages - Elettra - Jun 06, 2015 [dohtml] It was a new experience for the both of them to be here, his deep, steady breathes urging her on, his delicate touch of comfort and the coolness of smooth, whispered words. The first time Elettra had given birth to children had been so horrible she did he best to block it far from her mind's grasp. There was no love, no comfort, no affection. Her second time she had given birth to her children within the comfort of her den yet alone with her pack members waiting outside. Still, rather pleasant and the last had been rushed, panicked and with an air of death that left her paranoid of her whereabouts whilst nearing the end of her pregnancy to this day. She was a very curious and irritable pregnant woman without a bout, though the makings of her children this time around could not have been played out more perfectly. There was an absolute silence for a time as she watched her mate clean the child, a split second of fear and held breath when he questioned if he was doing it correctly before their little girl offered a small cry out. Another girl. Elettra was shocked, to be honest, for it was typical for her to birth mostly men in her litters and if she was lucky, as she had been with Morganna, she would be given one single female in order to relate to further in the manners of being a woman. This time, she had two, something which had her blinking hard in the wonder and a small chuckle form from her lips as Angier nudged the child back to her larger, elder brother and sister. Certainly Morganna would be ecstatic at the chance to finally have sisters to call her own. "I will be..." She comments lightly to Angier's question. Quite frankly she was pained all over, so sore that she dare not move herself in fear of the pain in would cause in these delicate hours just after giving birth. The happiness of this moment she focused on, however, wanting not a single thing to dare ruin this moment. "What should we call them?" Of course Elettra had been toying with names after her first signs of pregnancy, though mostly male names as she did not think it was as likely to have a little girl. Still she wanted to know what Angier had in mind firstly, unwilling to shove any ideas he had under the rug in favor of her own. Re: - Spirit of Wildwood - Jun 06, 2015 A young deer has been separated from the rest of its herd. Hunt Opportunity RE: generation of the ages - Angier - Jun 27, 2015 Everything grew still and quiet; Angier did not dare to even move, not wanting to upset the cubs or accidentally cause Elettra any pain after having allowed her to get comfortable against him. He smiled for what seemed like the first time in weeks. At long last, Willow Ridge had their newest progeny. No injuries, no deaths, no mishaps, no panic (aside from his own when he had first heard his mate call and when his daughter appeared to have some trouble breathing). He could see with his very own eyes how eagerly those three little ribcages moved with each breath and how strong each little digit on each little paw was as the newborn royals suckled side by side in attempt to maintain their spot at their mother's belly. These three, in addition to Deacon, Castiel, and Greer, would be his legacy, that much was for sure. Skoll and Morganna might as well count, but as far as Angier was concerned, those six would carry the bulk of it being half-Archer and half-Lyall. RE: generation of the ages - Elettra - Aug 05, 2015 [dohtml] He seemed taken aback, lost in his own thoughts as he stared at their children and Elettra, staring at him. A smile further moved over her expression, watching his uttermost care towards his three newest children. It was the same expression he had held on his face when he laid eyes on his eldest boys, though perhaps now with less strain, less pain for their birth, unlike Castiel, Greer and Deacon's, had not been equally shrouded in death. She laughs at his mocking idea for names, musing as he touches his nose to her temple. "Oh yes, El, Ele and Elettra would not be confusing at all..." She looks to her little girls, the full roundness of the pale girl, the slender and petite figure of the second, which she licked delicately. "...Isolde...?" The name questioned in a whisper delicately from her lips as she lifted her head back up to meet her mate's features, listening in on his explanation of such a name. It sounded so exotic, surely he had come up with it from somewhere... "Perhaps not a dream, but a memory..." It silently and secretly amazed Elettra to hear of this story Angier was only now telling her. Back in Torbine, the Priests and Priestess of the lands were said to have certain visions, or 'visits' from the gods, telling them of prophecies to come. They had talked to Angier of his pack, of his brother, and of his children to come, that two would be women and one should be named (by the God's blessing) Isolde. Elettra smiles upon this, wondering what God honored her daughter's to-be name. The Moon Goddesss? Earth? Sun? Once more her head turns to her tawny girl, with her creamy maw and throat. "Then Isolde is shall be." It was then her attention moved over to her second daughter and second born. "I've had a name for a girl for some time, which I thought up by the ravens." Wolves and ravens had always been known to have a particular relationship. A name had been thought up by them one night when she had been scouring for food. A raven had landed before her path, seemingly blocking her path with flapping wings and high-pitched calls. Stubbornly, Elettra had continued on, though not before the raven had flew into her back, nearly knocking her off balance. To Elettra's surprise, due to the raven stopping her movements, she had avoided getting caught up in a rather mean looking forest pit. A pregnant woman with a wounded ankle was no joke. "Ravenna." She spoke the name, remembering the bird that had protected her. Of course her daughter's coat looked nothing like a raven's, though surely she would grow to hold the same might, bravery, and protectiveness. RE: generation of the ages - Angier - Aug 25, 2015 She approved of Isolde - Her Royal Highness, Princess Isolde Archer Lyall. It had a nice ring to it, if she had had any claim to her maternal grandfather's estate and titles and whatever else that made her royalty by blood. Elettra sought her chance to name the other daughter, effortlessly choosing one that was just as strong and commanding as her own. Ravenna. Ravenna Archer Lyall. His head tilted in thought before ultimately giving her his nod of approval as his pale eyes swept over the pale-coated girls. RE: generation of the ages - Elettra - Sep 30, 2015 [dohtml] With a silent ease her mate agreed with the name which she gave her other daughter, far different from Isolde's own though equally strong and new. It was funny now that they were thinking of their son's name-to-be, which should have been the easiest of the group to decide. Elettra had pondered so many names for boys, as she was certain that she would have mostly males in her litter, if not all. Having two females was certainly a shock to her and likely to ever happen again... that is, if she was lucky enough to have another litter to begin with. Many names flooded through Elettra's head, including those she had thought up as she was pregnant, wondering the lands on border patrol or in search of herbs, as well as the names of those who were already a part of her family, to which a second could be named after. In all her pondering however, her mate was the first to speak up on the manner. "Liam", the first name on his list, struck at her interest quite a bit, causing her eyes to cast over the sooty brown, large pup snuggling at her stomach. Though the word 'Nigel' prodded at her interest too, seeing as Liam had not quite been sold by her mate. "Nigel..Or Nile?" She takes but a moment to ponder this before a smirk presses to her mug, urging her to lick firstly at her son's head, then her mate's cheek. "Niles." It took a few plays with the name, though it eased off her tongue in a coo. A strong name, though somehow soothing and gentle. She could only hope that Angier would follow along with it, though had no doubt it this was what she truly wanted then this is what she would gain. Prodding at her mate's nape once more, and breathed a heavy, tired sigh. Her accomplishments tonight had not gone without ripping at her energy. |
