She could hardly describe the relief she felt when she realised the wolf beneath their paws wasn’t Castiel, but with the relief came the questions. Who had killed one of their own? His injured leg had been healing, the ailment news to both mother and daughter. If someone had been healing him and it wasn’t either of them, than who else but @Titan? His hasty departure, although on good terms with her mother left the young woman suspicious and while @Skoll may have been the obvious leap, he was her blood and despite their recent butting of heads she would protect him.

She hadn’t even bothered to call when she reached the Caverns, a simple pass of the borders told her he wasn’t there. So much for checking on his sister. she thought with a snort as she followed her gut instinct and skirted about the borders, heading north and west.

She hadn’t been to this particular part of the Lore before. The leaves overhead were unique in their shape and she thought to take note of their appearance and ask @Elettra or @Angier if they really held any true purpose. Looking up as she was she almost missed the dark shape ahead, her nose dropping to the ground and gathering in the familiar scent, laced with the evidence of his betrayal.

Her mind was made in that moment, his actions were far too suspicious to afford him the respect given to one innocent until proven otherwise, and his superior size was a threat. She needed to move fast to gain the upper hand and silent steps picked up speed and volume as she closed in on his rump, teeth aiming to pinch the muscle in his hamstring with bruising force. He wasn’t getting away from her with any ease until her questions were answered.

RE: Nothing like first-hand evidence - Titan - Jun 24, 2015

He's attempting to attack / push her away here, it's up to you what you want to happen.
[dohtml]

Titan didn't plan on running into the other wolves while heading out to nab some herbs in the field. He was looking specifically for that fallen birch tree he'd noticed quite some time ago that might have bits of tree mushroom (chaga) growing on it. The creek had a number of river birch trees growing along its banks as well as the empress trees and that meant that he had a good chance of finding the herb that seemed to help Borden with his mental problems. Though the fungus only seemed to help a little bit, heck Titan might even have been imagining it, but he still felt that it was helping the elder Lyall out nonetheless. It wasn't like any other herb seemed to do anything to help the old wolf, the fungus on the other paw seemed to have sporadic success.

Titan was totally unprepared and unaware of the dark Archer female sizing him up from her hiding place in the thicket. Unfortunately for him the wind was blowing from him towards her, so while she kept quiet he had no idea of her presence. He was so distracted by the birch tree he was sniffing around and the sounds of the creek that he didn't hear her paw steps until she'd come right up behind him. His ear twitched once while his head began to move, but then pain flashed across his back leg. Titan yelped at first, his tail instinctively heading between his legs as the dark brute turned to face his attacker.

If it had been anyone else, someone that did not know Titan well, then he would have attacked without a second thought. However the sight and scent of Morganna's dark form made the males body tense in hesitation. The Thorben didn't get the chance to think much as her teeth rattled against his tendons bruising the flesh badly where they gripped. After his moment of hesitation Titan let his jaws open wide to show off his long teeth in a ferocious snarl. He half turned half pushed against Morganna using his front claws and trying to aim them at her chest which was the next best thing spare for her head and face. Problem was he didn't want his foot getting stuck in her mouth should she try to snap back at him. "BACK OFF!" his voice boomed while his tail came back up from between his legs to sway above his back.

Her bite having landed hard enough to bruise but lacking the satisfaction of drawing blood would have to be enough for now. His paw pushed against her chest and as much as she longed to clamp down there was more be done just yet. ”Traitor!” she spat at the dark wolf, momentarily swept up in the rage that @”Rook”’s scent bought with it. After everything my mother did for you… She wanted to hurl but this wasn’t the time. Her head was tucked protecting her throat, shoulders pushed forward to add a gorget of fat and fur to her defensive stance. Her ears were pinned back and her teeth exposed as she pinned him with her eyes alone, daring him to try and run.

“We found him, yer know? With yer stink all over ‘im.” Words had never been her forte, but Skoll wasn’t here to take the lead for her this time. “What did yer do Titan?” it was as much a taunt as it was a question. “Why else would yer leave so suddenly?” She took one step forward, and then another before she began to circle, waiting for a retort. Some response either verbal or physical in exchange to the barbs she now flung at him.

@Morganna

He glared right back at her hostile, but beautiful eyes, and kept his stance rigid as stone. Observing her own head tucking to protect herself; Titan realized that she was totally serious about this and mirrored the move not wanting to get his throat slashed by the fiery Archer.

"Watch your tongue Morganna!" he snarled deeply as she spat out the "T" word. He had learned from his mother and father long ago what traitors were, and that certainly was not who and what he was.  The word hurt him more than his leg did, but Titan would not have his pride or honor tarnished. Not like the weathered torn up piece of honor Skoll might have had at one point or another.

It was then that she began to growl out more words. Words that made his ears pin back as he narrowed his gaze onto the woman's dilating orange rimmed pupils. I wondered what Skoll did with him after that...Did he just leave him there or was the body moved? His thoughts flung about within a tortured, and scared mind. He wasn't scared of Morganna here, but of her brother. Even with her threatening him now Titan could only think to warn her about Skoll. To warn her and try and clear his own name. So what if he through Skoll under the bus? Titan might have goaded him on but it was Skoll who dealt the killing blow not him. He was innocent or so he thought.

"I was treating his broken leg after a wolverine attacked him. Xetor didn't want Lady Elettra or the others to know because he thought that he would be dropped in rank while he was weak. " Titan snarled the words out trying to get them through Morganna's thick skull. He would not go down with this ship. No he would take a life boat out to sea and watch Willow Ridge sink in its own stinking waters.

To her comment about him leaving so suddenly he gave a small twitch of his head to the left as if to cock it in intrigue, however kept his neck covered while doing so. "I left because your brother scares the living hell out of me. There should have been two scents on Xetor's remains... Mine and his, and if I didn't kill him then who did?" He threw out the hint then let the snarl vanish from his tone and face. A fearful one replaced it, perhaps giving Morganna the chance to surprise him again.

He knew exactly what she was talking about, chalking up yet another mark against him. The way his ears folded defensively and his eyes narrow with suspicion. A wolverine would explain the old wound on his leg but not why he would pass up Elettra’s treatment. After all she was known far and wide for her superior knowledge of the herbs of this land. It simply didn’t make sense to risk infection by enduring treatment from a mere plebe.

The words he spoke of fearing her brother stank of lies to her. He had spent most of his time trailing Skoll about like some sort of lost puppy (or so it had seemed to her). How many times had she tracked her brother down only to find Titan right there and decide it was better for her to simply fade away into the shadows and leave the boys be? How different would she be now if it had been her in her brothers company instead of him?

He as well as placed himself there when the killing took place; and while his words rang true and twisted her heart and stomach into knots she didn’t care to unravel right now; at the end of the day Skoll was her blood, and Titan was nobody.

Her teeth clenched momentarily as she debated whether to end this now or try and glean more information. She seemed to relax momentarily as her peach eyes met his blue and she quietly said with a sigh “It’s so unlike Skoll ter leave loose ends.” With the final word her mind was made and her muscles bunched as she moved to close the distance between them. Hoping to sink her teeth into the side of his neck or shoulder - not caring that her high aim would leave her front legs exposed. She wasn’t an assassin like her brother, she wasn’t even a particularly good hunter and lacked the weight to be a brawler. She could only hope her speed would be enough to give her the upper hand.

He didn't want this. Titan knew that his mother would be angry at him for what he had done. However he had left Willow Ridge on good terms, so how did things come to this? Just because he kept Xetor's death from Elettra before leaving? Skoll had told him to keep it a secret! Skoll had killed Xetor, and Skoll would kill him if he thought Titan had told somebody, but now Gawain... No, Titan was telling Morganna everything. He was spilling the beans just like his rumor whispering mother. Either way he was in deep trouble now that the secret was out.

I should have thought of that before telling her then... If he finds out I'm as good as dead.. He thought quietly while allowing himself to blink once while staring at Morganna's orange gaze. He was still waiting for her to answer.

He watched the dark woman's face for a long moment before she opened her ebony lips again with a sigh. The words that came from her maw sent a shiver through Titan's form as he lifted his upper lip in warning to Morganna. However, fast as a snake she slipped forward careening into his shoulder as he tries to move away from her attack. Her jaws found a purchase on the loose skin and fur between his shoulder and back while Titan shuffled around against her added weight. The pricks of pain where her jaws held him Made him want to yank her around and try to bite her, but Titan held himself back. She would not believe his words anymore if he fought unreserved with her. So instead he focused on defense and domination instead of offense and killing.

Taking the idea he had had earlier, Titan used brute force to yank himself and Morganna to the left while using his claws to push and scratch at her lean body. His head stretched upwards for a moment to try and bite at her scruff to force her downwards. For a brief moment this would leave himself open yet again, but Titan was willing to endure the pain Morganna might bring as he was sure that he could outlast her. Then when all was clear he planed to make another quick getaway. That was only if he could get her down though.

Dull claws had little impact against the plush fur of her chest but when they scraped against her lean legs one or two managed to catch on something tender. She did not want to flinch or relinquish her hold but when combined with the force of his pull she lost her grip, coming away with little more than a few loose hairs that stuck to her tongue and gums. Her muzzle wrinkled with distaste, her brother would never have struggled to take the Thorben down. Instinctively she braced her legs and tucked her chin, the move lowered her overall and already out matched he managed to land his bite on her scruff, his weight making her attempt at bracing all but a waste of energy.

From her lowered position, the loose skin around her neck allowed her to tilt her head up. The only target in range was a delicate fold of skin between his chest and right foreleg. It was a small target and she would be just as likely to escape with little more than a mouthful of fur. Instead she gathered the extra strength she would need to try and gain that extra inch, hoping instead to clamp her jaws around his leg instead. She doubted she could muster any bone crushing force but it would hopefully be enough to encourage him to let go. She knew she was outmatched and he didn’t seem interested in retaliating. She just needed to do enough to make him run away… enough to make him fearful.

post #8. If you want I can do the final post #10 and archive it when you are done?
[dohtml]

Titan felt his teeth connect with the dark Archer's scruff as she tensed herself and dipped to make some kind of movement against him.
His body heaved against hers pushing against @Morganna as she reached out to bite at the area between his leg and chest. Her teeth connected sending a flash of pain through his leg. Memories of his spat with a tom turkey that had put a significant scar in the middle of his chest fluttered through Titan's mind distracting him. He had never really fought a wolf before. It had always been play fights with his siblings or mother. The closest he had been to actually fighting with someone was when Xetor had been bullying him. A flash of Xetor's angry face deepened his rage as Titan yanked against Morganna refusing to let her go. He tried to pull his leg away but it was futile with how close they were right now. He then attempted to put his other leg over her back, but his balance was off and the male felt himself slip to the side. As soon as he felt himself about to fall Titan let go of her scruff and tried to yank his leg away from Morganna again.

A raven above them cried out harshly as it watched the scuffle below. It curiously watched the two wolves with two beady perceptive eyes. the bird jumped as Titan snarled deeply wanting to defend his honor but not wanting to harm Morganna further. In the end he decided to turn and run. The dark wolf felt cowardly, but he couldn't harm relations between his mother, Rook, and Elettra's pack any further. It was already bad enough that Titan would have to avoid the lush fields of his home and the lands around it because Willow Ridge was settled rather close to Whisper Caverns. Most of the herbs he used and gathered were form those areas, and now because of this fight Titan would have to find other places to find plants to gather. Especially now that there was a chance that Skoll would come after him.

Turning tail and sprinting as fast as he could away from Morganna, Titan didn't even look behind to see if she was chasing him or watching him go. The dark male expected the fiery woman to get a few nips in on his hind end, but he hoped that she was smart enough to keep from attacking him again. Holding back and trying not to hurt her had been harder than he had expected it to be.

As the large male broke away she made a half hearted dash after him, her teeth clicking on empty air, a snort of defiance offered to his retreating shadow as she finally paused, her breath coming in heavy pants. Her heart thundered in her chest but it wasn’t the adrenalin that pounded in her ears. It was enough confirmation of her fears to leave a terrible taste in her mouth and her next port of call was set. She needed to get to @“Skoll” before her mother did.

“Stupid.” she muttered under her breath with a shake of her head. She had never trusted the Thorben. How could her brother have been so stupid? She couldn’t help but blame Piety for her siblings downfall.
