Inheritence - Namid - Jun 07, 2015

 @Vespertio @Aleister @Neha @Cernan First family thread!

[dohtml]

Namid Veusain

It had been two weeks since the birth of the Fallen Tree Cove brood, and those two weeks had been filled with anything but boredom. She could hardly believe the progress the trio had made in their brief life, feeling at though they were growing by feet each day instead of just centimeters. They were each passing their milestones with flying colors, and she couldn’t be prouder of each of them. Their personalities were showing bit by bit each day without fail; Neha was a princess for sure, whining for attention whenever she wasn’t get any. Cernan seemed to be the one that could help her quiet down, taking to playing with her more than their other sibling. Aleister was the quietest, though that didn’t stop him from showing off around meal time. She had her paws full being a full-time mother for the moment, though soon she would have to return to her duties. Her world had changed now, but her soul hadn’t taken such a dramatic turn. She longed to go out on her patrols that had become routine for her, to stretch her muscles that ached from being curled up. She’d gone mushy from lack of exercise, and she needed to make herself right in shape again.

That time, however, wouldn’t be now. Instead, she planned on having some more quality time with her family. It was one of the rare moments that her husband wasn’t busy with his duties, and she was going to take full advantage of it. She’d yet to let the cubs venture out of the den, but they were showing signs of taking their first real steps and before long they would grow curious of what laid beyond their walls. The sky was cloudy, but it was one of the few days that they hadn’t been kept inside by rain storms. She’d decided that today would be the day that she take them for their first trip outside. Her tongue went over each small body affectionately, grooming them for their big day. If they were anything like her, they would be in complete awe at the world. Or, at least what they could make of it.

RE: Inheritence - Cernan - Jun 12, 2015

[dohtml]

The little prince lay contentedly between his mother's front paws; having wriggled in close to her chest. The soft, silvery fur was warm and secure, and the gentle weight of her head on his back had the child drifting in and out of consciousness. Every once in a while he would shift; moving his head with a quiet mewl and a sigh before darkness took over his reality again. One of his velvety ears was pressed into her warmth, taking in the steady beat of her heart that he'd known since the beginning of this existence. He didn't want to play right now, and for once he wasn't all that hungry. Here he was relatively safe from any nipping teeth or indiscriminately placed little paws as well. His little cranium shifted back, settling into the crook of Namid's elbow as the Vuesain boy drifted off once again.

It was some time later when he felt the enveloping warmth of his guardian's fur lift from his back. The cooler air drifted over his downy pelt, causing the youngster to pull his paws in toward his belly with displeasure. They stretched out again, eliciting a near-inaudible peep from Cernan's closed mouth as he rolled upright. His pale blue eyes blinked open, revealing the blurred shapes that now comprised the new dimension of sense and experience in this world. He straightened, looking around with wide eyes until his dam's soft tongue came down to grace his fur. The prince's head turned, attempting to locate the large shape of his source of food and comfort as it continued to lick the dirt out of his hair. It was a comfortable sensation, and he was glad to wake up and find her still beside him this time. Her return had only assured him that she didn't ever leave for long.

The child was sitting there, enjoying his bath for a few more strokes before he thought to move. On wobbly legs he turned, fumbling over her pale-colored limb as he tried to face the incoming tongue. This time however, she had reached past him; electing to continue her caresses on the pelts of his siblings. Cernan sat quietly for a moment, his muted eyes trying to discern her form from theirs'. When she moved on to grooming the third and final shape in their dimly-lit den, the neglected child rose; teetering on newly formed legs. He padded forward, managing to remain upright until he had reached the fur of her low-hanging neck. Standing precariously on two paws, he rested all of his tiny weight on her for just a moment before flopping back onto his haunches. “Uuuuunn?” He requested quietly, still staring doe-eyed at the grey blob with all the focus he could manage. More licks and cuddles would do him just fine, and she was going to wake up the others with all that fussing!

RE: Inheritence - Vespertio - Jun 15, 2015

[dohtml]

A quick patrol of the portion of border that lay nestled near by and the newly titled father was trotting back towards the tucked away nook of his beloved family. The faint sound of mewling echoing off the walls as he hesitantly stuck just his head inside the darkened den for a moment before slithering carefully inside. Not waiting for the approval from his wife to enter like he did every other time he dared to enter. His queen was more laxed in allowing him to enter as he pleased lately, but occasionally he still earned himself a nip or two on days he snuck inside. Today was not the cause, though, as he carefully skirted around his slumbering brood. Each one receiving a tongue bath from their mother as he positioned himself in his usual spot behind her. Wrapping his larger frame around hers.

Not long after he settled against his queen did motion catch his eye in the dimly lit area between Namid's paws. A smile adorning his lips at the sight of his largest son, @Cernan begging for more attention as the focus was turned onto his two siblings. Chuckling quietly Vespertio extended his neck to reach the butterball baby. Every so carefully adorning his tiny shoulder with a nudge of his cold black nose before protruding his salmon tongue from between his lips to lick at his plush puppy fur. Hoping his attempt at giving his son attention was as desirable to the youngin' as it was from their mother. Of course nothing could ever truly compare to a mother's touch.

RE: Inheritence - Neha - Jun 16, 2015

[dohtml]

The still young Vuesain Princess was sound asleep within the cozy confines of her birth den, snugly curled up against her mothers larger form. The warmth that radiated from her pale, silver pelt comforted her, as did the steady beat of her heart which often lulled her to sleep. Neha was growing swiftly, even though she was still young. Her pelt for now, was still as white as ever, save for the charcoal markings over her muzzle. Even her tiny puppy paws, had begun to grow. Sprawled out on her tummy, stubby back legs stretched out behind her, she rested her over one of Namid's forelimbs. Cernan for once, was welcome to have the space between those legs all to himself. Her head was burrowed under the crook of one large limb, her sides heaving with the rapid breaths that were associated with dreams. The new world both confused and fascinated the pup all at once. She couldn't make any sense of it. But that would change. Nothing would stop this little fireball from investigating every little corner, soaking up as much her young mind would allow. Sure, it was a bit scary, but if it weren't, where would the fun be in that?

Through the foggy mist of her dreams and sleep, none of which she could yet comprehend, something reached out. Warm and wet, softly stroking over her downy fur repeatedly. She knew that touch...she had felt it many a time. Her mother had deemed it appropriate to give the infant a bit of a bath, for whatever reason. But why...why did it have to be in the middle of naptime? What was so important that she should be woken now of all times? Uttering a low mewling groan, the Princess stirred. Soft baby blue eyes peered open lazily, regarding the still blurred form of her mother. And Cernan, who was also up and about. Parting her jaws in a soft yawn, exposing the needle baby teeth in her mouth, the dreary girl rested her head down to go back to sleep. But no sooner had she put her head down, did another presence woosh into the den. There was no need for alarm as he circled behind Namid, for he smelled of her also. He too had also been a frequent visitor, one she was accustomed to nearly as much as her mother. Now that he had begun to reach around to groom his largest son, Neha experienced a strange new emotion. Jealously. Those kisses had felt good...even if they did disturb her sleep. Awkwardly propping herself up on her new legs, she shuffled forwards, attempting to wedge herself in between the noses of her parents, and that of her brother. "Mrrumm....?" Determined to somehow make her desire known, the little Princess toppled over gently onto her back, peering up expectantly at her mother and father through innocent blue eyes.

RE: Inheritence - Aleister - Jun 21, 2015

Sorry for the wait and shitty post!
[dohtml]

Aleister was familiar with his mother's touch and warmth, his siblings chubby paws prodding at him and the taste of his mother's milk. But, the large body waking him up in the middle of his nap was not something he had known well. Just after his mother gave him a wash, the dark figure clouded out the light shining through the dens entrance. Ale gave a protesting mew, wiggling his tiny paws in the air. One by one, his siblings got up and left to get a better seat by their mother- and the thing. His sister's whine was well heard in his ears, bouncing off the walls of the den. In a clambering hustle to find out what, "dangers" laid before him, he tripped over his mother's paws and landed in a heap. "Ofttt!" He chuffed, trying to figure his little limbs out. His fall hurt! It really hurt! He gave a few whimpers and scrambled up to meet his mother. If he was a little older, he would have let out an ear piercing cry. MOOOOOOMMM! But he could only whimper and nudge a few tears out of his eyes. The little storm pawed at his mother, looking for another reassuring lick to wipe the tears away.

Namid Veusain

It seemed that Cernan would be the first of the brood to be awakened by her menstruations, small pleasurable sounds escaping his jaws as she preened him. However, when he moved to Neha it didn’t seem to sit well with him that he had lost her attention. She had just been about to turn to him and offer him a loving nuzzle when Vespertio moved in, a smile curling upon her blackened lips at her husband’s entrance. One look into her mismatched eyes could tell that there was no lessening in the affection she had for the man that had stolen her heart and given her the greatest gift imaginable. Despite having four to split her love with and an entire pack to give her attention to as well, the new mother seemed to be taking it in strides. She had always been one to do well with adjusting, and this was no different. He curled against her and she paused her cleaning of their children to give him a lick of his own, “How has your day been, love?” she inquired as she turned back to the children. He’d taken over for her with Cernan, adorning him with his tongue while she was both surprised and not by little Neha wedging herself between Aleister and her to bide for their affection. A chuckle escaped her maw as she bent to nuzzle her belly in a tickle, a grin settling onto her maw. “My little darling, you do enjoy your attention do you not?” she cooed to her.

A little thud was heard and her motherly instincts caused her head to shoot up and look around, seeing her middle child in a heap on the floor. Had she not been so concerned she might have given an amused chuckle for his clumsiness, but for that moment she was simply worried about his well-being. Tears welled up in the young look-alike Vuesain’s eyes and she was instantly there to comfort him as he looked up at her with almost accusing baby blue eyes. Her nose nudged his cheeks, salmon tongue whipping out to gentle lap them away and pull him closer to her side. “There there my sweetling, mother’s got you. No need to cry,”  she murmured.

RE: Inheritence - Cernan - Jun 23, 2015

[dohtml]

The small child barely took note of his approaching father; his eyes were trained squarely on the preoccupied shape of the grey being who's attention had fluttered away. His weak peripherals only caught sight of the patriarch when he began moving behind Namid. The new sight managed to break the boy's concentration for a moment. This being was the 'other one.' The concept of being able to clepe this thing was still beyond the boy. There was, of course the other grey wolf that the pups had met at the entrance, but he'd not yet come back. This wolf came around often, but he simply could not match the permanence his mother possessed. Still, familiarity with the big brown shape prevented the usually shy boy from being alarmed. He was a good thing. He too offered cuddles and warmth, and never ever hurt him like his siblings sometimes did. Pleased with the other one's appearance, Cernan's fuzzy stump of a tail did its best to wiggle about with happiness. The pup received his father's touch; rising to his feet as the familiar nose met with his shoulder. He thought swiftly that perhaps this one could be persuaded to give him more attention, but there was no need for action.

The familiar stroke of a tongue produced more wags from the child's little tail. Yes! This is what he'd asked for. It was with delight that the youth padded closer; carefully moving over this one's forelegs and attempting to get the most out of this caressing. The prince turned his muzzle upward, attempting to lick at his sire's long snout to show his overwhelming appreciation. The gentle soothing voice of his mother purred around the group; directed at the other one with the same loving sound the children received. A brush against his side alerted the tawny child to Neha's presence. Sure enough, their mother had woken them up. His pale gaze turned, taking in the blurred blob at his feet. It made a noise not unlike the one he'd used to garner affection only moments before. Relatively comfortable beside his dad, Cernan rotated clumsily to face the rest of them. Their constant guardian gave in, showering the little girl with more love and soothing sounds. Aleister was tumbling forward now, falling over those same legs. Oh how treacherous they were!

The dark form made sad sounds; whimpering as he inched closer to the soft chest Cernan had been curled against in sleep. Their dam adorned him too with comfort. Again the child felt some longing for more of what he saw taking place. Intent on keeping his position with the other guardian, he shuffled slowly backward; tucking himself under the man's neck. Awkwardly he reached up again, trying weakly to lick and nibble at the longer hairs above. Maybe, just maybe, he would get some more nuzzles and happy sounds!

RE: Inheritence - Vespertio - Jun 23, 2015

[dohtml]

It didn't take long for the man to settle before a loving lick of his own from his wife graced his fur. Returning the same greeting to her cheek before answering the question that tumbled from her lips. "Busy as usual, but good. Nothing new to be detected along the borders." He informed her, golden eyes shimmering with a special adoration reserved solely for Namid whenever he was within her presence - which wasn't as often as he would have liked given pack duties. Soon, though, his attention was begged for as Cernan seemed to enjoy the gentle caress of his father's tongue just as much as their mother's. A tiny little thing of a tongue protruding from behind needle like teeth to give Vesper's snout a lick of appreciation. Something that brought a smile to his darkened lips.

Shortly his attention was diverted from the son at his feet to the cries for attention of Neha. His beloved wife quick to give her exposed belly a nuzzle to quite her begging. A hushed chuckle escaping from himself at the sight. "We are going to have a little diva on our hands. She has quite the personality already." And the tawny man didn't give an ounce of doubt to his words. Since birth he had come to pick up on her habits. Whining and shoving her brothers away when she wanted to be the one in the prime feeding spot or receive mother's affection. Aleister soon making his own presence known as look-alike son tumbled over the tops of Namid's forearms. Ears quickly pinned forward in a paternal instinct to ensure his son was okay, but again his efforts were quickly out beat by the silver coated woman. Soothing words and a gentle tongue doing their best to quell the upset child. It wasn't until he felt the brush of downy fur against his neck did 'the thing' glance down at the one pup still tucked under his protection. More licks and nibbles attempted at the longer hairs of his cheeks to try and persuade the larger figure to return to his previous task. Bathing young Cernan in affection.

"Alright, alright little guy. Papa has your back." He rumbled lowly with a chuckle to soothe his son's efforts, craning downward at an angle to better reach the partially tucked child. Salmon tongue once more preening the young prince with the attention he so desired after growing confident Namid was well off seeing to the remaining pups of the litter.

RE: Inheritence - Neha - Aug 07, 2015

[dohtml]

Neha was absolutely delighting in the attention, even if all of it was not on her. Her efforts seemed to have paid off, earning her a loving murmur from both her Dad and Mom. The gentle, cool touch of her dams nose to her belly elicited a squeal of delight. Her delicate hairs lining her tummy felt unusually light, as if dancing gently. Still plopped oh so cutely on her back, the Princess wiggled in response to the light tickling. Had her vocal chords been strong enough to produce proper speech, she would have laughed.

Suddenly there was a disturbance, and not a pleasant one at that. It came from her darker brother, whose still blurry form she could see from the side. He was making sounds...unhappy sounds. They upset her...she didn't like hearing her litter mate sound so distressed. Whatever it was that had happened, Neha was bound to do all in her power to make it all better. Delicate little muzzle wrinkling up into a determined expression, she wriggled fiercely to get to her wobbly legs again, soft blue eyes worried. Slowly she came forward towards Aleister, who was tucked closely towards Mom and Dad. Gently adding her own touch, Neha placed her chin against the back of his neck, nudging a floppy ear with her wet nose tenderly. "Mrroouu....ouuhh...." She whined in concern, while at the same time, trying to soothe her shaken brother.
