Follow My Feet - Enoki - Jun 08, 2015

For either Eletrra if possible(due to cubs) or Angier preferrable to accept her back into the pack, but any WR member is welcome.
[dohtml]

Two months had come to pass since the last time deep amber pools took in the sight of the weeping willow forest and in that time so much had happened. Their smooth barked trunks and whip like branches that once upon a time tickled the fur atop her head a welcomed sight indeed to the piebald woman whom now made her way through their drooping canopy, allowing the blossomed buds dotted along each branch to grace her crown with a kiss each time her movements came to a halt. Absorbing the view of things anew around her. How much the landscape had already changed with the coming of spring in the two short months she was gone. The light drizzle falling from the clouds above coating each tiny pastel flower in a glossy layer of water droplets which shone in the faint beams of light that managed to protrude through the dark stratocumulus riddled sky. Swarthy pelt beginning to grow heavy from the accumulation of liquid to each slicked strand of ebony and ivory. A quick shake on occasion helping to alleviate the excess water weight.

During one of these momentarily rest once reaching the border her head would crane away from the torn flesh at the jugular of a doe she had brought down as a gift to the pack and to one side to adorn her shoulder with a few licks of her salmon tongue to clean and dry the fur within reach. Ears constantly flicking to and fro at the slightest noise that echoed about in case a member of the pack had caught on to her scent, that of the fresh spilled blood from the deer or caught sight of her if the drizzling rain proved enough of a nuisance to discard their scents entirely. Which wouldn't quite be the best since the scent of the pack was long gone from her hairs now. Leaving behind only the aroma of her personal perfume marking her as nothing more than a loner. Away from the ridge much had come to pass for the Ashrelle woman in such little time. She had been courted, taken and deserted. Stumbled upon a former member of the ridge unbeknownst(and still so) to her and came face to face with an enemy of the pack. The wolves of Black Thorn Downs who had a makeover and relocation. Their lead female by the name of Minka. Met an old friend who's location was to be kept under lock and key for their safety and even informed the woman of her past of her mate's daughters pregnancy. Something that held weight behind the words.

But that had all come to settle like dust after a storm. Her dark tinted orbs scanning the surrounding area once before angling her head back to allow a short call resonate on the airways. Informing the dark queen, @Elettra and her partner in crime @Angier that their prized huntress had returned to their lands. Even if a subordinate came to greet the patch work woman she wouldn't mind. Seeing a familiar face of home ached within the confines of her chest. The Ashrelle had enough of the outside world and was ready to come back home. Where she belonged.

She trudged through the drizzle and sludge, mud splattered legs blending for once with the land on which she walked. It would be a lie to say she wasn’t thankful nothing had come about between herself and Renier. As cute as her sisters and brother (and even her nephew)  were, already her paws itched at the limited range she suddenly found herself shackled to – responsibility and position tying her to the confines of the Ridge while her mother was otherwise disposed. No wonder Adele had ceded her position.

She was contemplating tracking down a cache, or perhaps trying to find where ever the younger tawny coated Lyall had taken to brooding, Instead duty called with a familiar song and a grin even tugged at the corner of her mouth as she moved her limbs with haste to greet the hunter, anticipation of the meeting to come setting a bounce in her step that caused mud to splash up and coat her underside.

When the familiar patchwork of dark and light came into her line of sight she drew herself up to better reflect her new station, the wag of her tail betraying the joy this reunion brand her despite their limited interactions prior. She was even more impressed with the gift their old friend bring with her. “Jus’ stoppin’ by ter say hello?” her tone readily implied she hoped otherwise. So much had happened in Enoki’s absence, and now more than ever they needed members they could rely on.

To no surprise it didn't take long for a familiar face to appear from in the distance. Ebony fur with ginger highlights and the unmistakable peachy orbs of Morganna making their appearance with lithe limbs striking the ground with a new sense of authority to them. Yet cloaking the surrounding area in a pleasant, strong enough aurora to cause her ivory dipped tail to rise slightly to wag a greeting in return. Apparently there had been a shift in ranks since the Ashrelle woman had left putting the now eldest princess into the second position. A quick inhale of her perfume indicating such along side the obvious posturing the peachy woman now adopted. 'Good for her!' She thought, a genuine grin pulling at the corner of her lips.

"'lo there Morganna. I see you've been climbing the ranks since I left." Her lips pulling back to widen her smile a little more before continuing. "Normally this would be a quick hello, but I've come back for good like I promised your mother the day I left. Gift and all." A quick turn of her head motioning towards the slain deer at her paws. It wasn't the grandest of gifts to bring home, but it was something. There was no way the patch work woman was going to return empty pawed after making a promise to the dark queen. "That is if there is still room for an aging hunter." Enoki joked, taking in the various new scents that now became noticeable the longer they stood at the border. It would seem the pack had grown as well since she left. Five new individual scents in total.

Her smile remained steady and genuine, no malice or scheming evident as she regarded the magpie cloaked woman. “O’course. I’ve already been directed to let yer know yer more than welcome.” She reassured, moving forward to take up a splayed limb to help in moving the gift to a cache. Ordinarily she would consider dragging it all the way to the den for her mother but there was much the woman beside her would need to be filled in on before they reached their destination and she couldn’t very well go about filling her in with her mouth full of venison. “I tell yer honestly, we need yer now more than ever. A lot has happened since yer’ve been gone.” she offered before setting across the border to stash the meal somewhere it would be less desirable to rogues and besides, sending her mother off to eat would mean she might be asked to babysit and she would never pass up such an opportunity if it was offered.

When the food was appropriately stored she took a moment to gather her thoughts, wondering exactly where she should start as they made their way towards the den where her mother would be resting. “Ma had three cubs this year, two girls.” she was practically beaming despite the added workload. “Obviously tha’s a lot of extra mouths to feed… but that’s to be expected. The real kick in the guts…” she trailed off for a moment wondering how better to word her next sentence. “He said it was an accident but yer don’t just accidentally have pups.” She assumed Enoki would automatically knew who he was but she left room for questions regardless. It was nice to have someone to simply gossip with that wasn’t aware of all the goings on over the last few months.

RE: Follow My Feet - Enoki - Jun 22, 2015

[dohtml]

Relief washed over the two toned woman as Morganna informed her that her place was still available in the pack and was eagerly waiting for her with open arms. The huntress needed now more than ever as informed by the new pack second as the two carried the carcass over borderlines towards a proper place to store it. With two wolves at work it didn't take long for them to dig up a new cache to deposit the venison away from wandering eyes and daredevils looking to make a quick get away with another's hard work. Enoki falling into toe with the young Archer as the path of travel changed now to head for the den. Undoubtedly to inform Elettra of her return and kept promise. How many pups did the dark queen have this spring? The idea alone was enough to give her steps an extra pep. Pups an always joyous time for a pack despite the extra work load it meant for the subordinate in order to provide for the extra mouths.

Not a word was needed to be uttered upon the subject as Morganna began to fill her in on the happening since her departure. Dark amber optics switching their focus from her ginger highlighted shoulder to their destination approaching in the distance. So three cubs were birthed and two of them daughters. Something that the peachy girl was clearly excited about as her entire demeanor beamed with excitement until her words began to trail off. Mood surrounding the two woman shifting with the next words to fall from dark lips. "The real kick in the guts…” she trailed off that left Enoki hanging in suspense until she finally fed her the gossip she wanted. “He said it was an accident but yer don’t just accidentally have pups.” A true kick in the gut. Instantly hackles began to raise in detest at this acquired information, knowing very well who the only culprits could possibly be. Skoll and Piety. Bringing their advances to a halt she did her best to keep her anger under control, a side very few got to see. If there was one thing Enoki hated more than being treated like a play toy(by Heigen) it was those who disobeyed pack laws. "Was he punished?" Voice holding a harsh tone in reference to the law breaker. The deep amber of her gaze searching Morganna's face for an answer before it was verbally given.

It would seem they were in agreement that her brother had been out of line, but his punishment was a sore spot for his sibling. She kept her emotions on the topic in check, knowing her mother could emerge from the den at any moment and her new position dictated that she tow the party line. “Busted ter’ lowest, haster make sure ma’s pups ‘re fed bef’re his own.” It was common knowledge to the rest of the pack, she wouldn’t leave the huntress in the dark. “They’re ou’ on the edges. I’ve passed by once or twice. Only looks to be one. Snowy lil’ whelp like her.” As if the accident wasn’t enough of an affront on his own he had to rub it in further by being born the wrong colour for his aunt.

Her outward gruffness towards her nephew was simply just that, an outward show. While she might not be the most maternal of females in the pack she would make allowances for those born of her own blood. They were close enough to the den now that she only hesitated a moment before moving forward, unsure if perhaps she should have taken @Enoki to try and locate @Angier instead? But with all the turbulence of late she couldn’t help but think this was right where Enoki was needed most.

She poked her nose into the den, hoping above all hope that @Elettra wasn’t sleeping. “Mother,” she cooed, even bothering to round her vowels and put the ends on her words. But it was short lived. “I got someone ‘ere ter see yer.”

RE: Follow My Feet - Elettra - Sep 14, 2015

Within the collection on rocks formed together to make the pack's large den, lie the opening of a howl in the ground which made the Elettra's Infirmary, seconding as a birthing den a few months out of the year until the pups were able to navigate on their own and rest with the rest of the pack. It was here where Elettra lie, nestled with her three newest children which had already grown so much since their arrival into the world. She had just taken much time cleaning them up after a romping about outside the den, as well as telling them a few stories of their family back in Torbine which, in time, they well off fell asleep too. By the time Morganna had called her, Elettra was able to wiggle herself from the three children's sleeping bodies and out into the opening of the pack den, which is where she sough Morganna standing. "Hum?" Came her murmured reply as she stretched out, focusing her eyes to the brightness of the world outside as she made her way towards the entrance. It is here, beyond Morganna's shoulder, did she take sight to Enoki, which immediately had her tail waving and a smile upon her lips. "Well, look who it is!" Her voice lifts into the air as she pads closer to the both of them. "Travels were well, I presume?" They had to have been, after all, Enoki looked well off and quite healthy despite the few months she had been wondering the lands as a loner. Surely she had a story or two to tell, but what was most important was that she returned, as promised, whether it was for just  visit or to stay with them once again.

RE: Follow My Feet - Enoki - Sep 14, 2015

As punishment for their crimes it was made apparent that the wayward prince and his saint had been given new titles. According to Morganna they now served as the pack lowest, shunned to the outer edges of the territory while forced to see to the queen's litter before their own single born child, similar in coloration to its mother, as she was also informed of. "Serves them right for disobeying the law." Not the punishment Enoki would have warranted; opting to oust them from the willows entirely, but a rightful punishment regardless in the Ashrelle woman's smoldering eyes. Soon they would arrive, though, upon the infirmary where the Archer queen temporarily rested her paws.

Swiftly her swarthy audits swung back to press into the soft fur along her skull, unaware of what possible mood the dark queen could be found in upon disturbing her from whichever duty of motherhood captured her time currently. Albeit, listening closely to the cooed words of the ginger princess. Meanwhile Enoki's darkened lips beginning to tug backwards to stretch them into a gentle smile and ivory dipped tail swaying tentatively at her heels at the prospect of being reunited with her friend and sovereign. It didn't take long for motion to stir within the den, a mass darker than the shadowy entrance blocking such before emerging into the light with a murmured reply to Morganna's beckoning.

Immediately the patch work woman's tail rose higher and wagged with greater strength while remaining respectfully lower than her matriarch's upon the initial greeting. The once gentle smile now a full fledged grin upon her inky colored face. "It's so wonderful to see you again!" Voice kept at a low volume as not to disturb the bundles of joy inside, yet far from lacking the enthusiasm that hung on every syllable. Pressing forward slightly, Enoki then allows the edge of her snout to bump into the plush fur along Elettra's cheek before adorning the underside of her chin with a lick in proper accordance of a subordinate greeting their superiors. "During my travels I acquired information I believe you will consider useful." Pausing her words briefly, her audits relaxed from their once reclined state to face forward. Awaiting the okay from Elettra to begin filling them in on her happenings.

The huntress delivered to the heart of their realm and no doubt with much news to share Morganna considered leaving until the mention of useful information. As an aspiring scout she spent a lot of time away from the pack but she rarely travelled further than she could manage to return within a day. Hoping her mother wouldn’t send her away she moved to settle herself and see what news Enoki had to offer. She had been gone for so long no doubt she had much to share.
