Blitz Mizuno

The moment the command left Sven's lips, Blitz obliged immediately. He had defended his own kind from these mongrels and he was about to do it again. With a bellowing snarl he charged towards the remaining coyote. It backpedaled in surprise but snapped it's jaws, darting to the left to try and circle around the much larger wolf. In no mood for games, he lunged, aiming his jaws for it's exposed shoulder. Teeth sank into flesh, drawing blood while the coyote screeched. Needle sharp teeth scraped against his dark muzzle, drawing his own blood. But the wounds were shallow and more of an inheritance than anything. Pinning his ears back against his skull, Blitz only clamped down harder.

Their two bodies wrestled and jostled, one much more fragile and smaller than the other. Yips and snarls accompanied the clack of teeth. Using his superior weight to his advantage, he shifted his footing to his hindquarters and hefted himself up, draping one forelimb over the shoulders of the coyote. He needed a better position in order to control it's fidgeting so he could finish the job. Blood dripping from his jet black muzzle, he craned his neck down, swiftly finding purchase with his maw around the flailing coyotes windpipe. With one last crunch of his jaws and a sickening crackling twist, he carried out it's execution.

Alastor Leigh

Kino watched as Sven ordered his wolves after the coyotes, charging in himself. It was a noble thing of him, and he knew he’d have to thank him in some way. Even if it did hurt his pride a little. Blood permeated the air as the three men fought against the mongrels and Sahalie’s voice reached his ears over the snarls and yelps. He looked down at her then back at the fight that happened before them. One of them felled a coyote. One less one to chase them down, but it still wasn’t enough. They had to get out of there.

“Yes, go. I’m right behind you,” he said, waiting for her to take off before following close behind. His head darted in the direction of the dark one that had felled the coyote first (blitz). “Thank you for your help. Tell Sven that we’ll repay him,” he said, delivering the message so that they wouldn’t think they weren’t grateful. Then, they were off to disappear into the woods.

Sahalie Leigh
@Sven @Blitz @Blackmoore feel free to continue without us at your pace, but this is their exit :) let us know when you archive it!

It was frustrating that she could do nothing—not that she had much fighting experience anyway—but at least it looked as though their band of saviors was starting to get the situation under control. She would have to come back later, when it was safer, to thank him. He also probably had a pretty good idea where Morganna and the remains of Quaking Vale were. But none of that mattered now.

Her pace was brisk but only a hair beyond ambling, but it was the best that her engorged body could do. Alastor fell in along side her and she gave him one long, desperate look before fixing her eyes on the world ahead of her and beginning their path to Charred Ash Draw. The place she hoped her father to be.

Blitz Mizuno

Hanging between his jaws, was the now limp body of the coyote. A deep angry red gash across it's throat, blood staining it's tawny fur and coating his lips. As he let it drop to the ground with a heavy thud, his lips curled as he spat several chunks of hair free from his mouth. With one down and the other swiftly being overpowered by Sven and Blackmoore, Blitz had every bit of confidence that they would clear the area of these pests. His acidic eyes flicked up to meet the icy blue ones of the unnamed male who thanked him. "No trouble at all. I'll make sure he knows." The commotion of Sven, Blackmoore and the remaining coyote duking it out behind him reminded Blitz that the true threat was not yet fully eliminated. "Now go on, get out of here. Be safe." He said in earnest, if not a little gruffly.

Whirling around, he rejoined the fray to finish the last coyote off. Blitz was fiercely protective of anyone he considered a friend or allied to his pack. Determined on proving his worth at every turn, he would show no mercy to any rival who dared cross his path, big or small. With one last deep growl, he maneuvered himself towards an opening with his pack mates and locked his jaws around the exposed lower spine of the flailing animal. Several violent shakes and splatters of blood later, the scum was dead at their feet. Letting Sven lead the way home, he would leave the bodies, confident that they would serve as a grizzly reminder to their kin of what would happen if they crossed the Ridge wolves.

Sven Archer
The coyotes that had stayed were swiftly dealt with by the three men. Outnumbered and lesser in every way, they were easy to overpower and cull. Sven had expected that Alastor would join in regardless, give Blitz a hand, but as Sven looked back he saw only Sahalie and her boyfriend's backs as they ran without a word. Sven visibly bristled, that old rage and bitterness welling up with a vengeance. She couldn't even remain long enough to say thank you? He had to wonder how many times throughout his life she'd been so close but always hurrying to walk the other way and he simply had to know. Every time she'd ever managed to come to his side of the mountain, he'd only ever caught her by chance, after all.

With a snap of his jaws he beckoned Blitz and Blackmoore to follow him back to the Ridge. When Alastor's message was relayed, his response would be clipped and unmasked: "A man who can't provide for the woman he impregnated will pay us back. I've never heard an emptier promise."
