Cornelia

Since when had her life become so lively again? It was not due her changed demeanor or healed scars, she felt the same bitter taste on her tongue and the same dark cloud had fudged over her thoughts. But lately the active anger, the aggressiveness had subdued to coiling annoyance, grumpy snarls and sarcastic snorts. The wolves in this realm flashed in her life like lightning that struck, bright and distracting. When you only see the flash and the white crack in the sky and for a second all else is dark, then it’s gone the second you blink. She hadn’t particular liked all her meetings, some were a pure bother, others were very odd in the weakest sense to describe it. Cornelia wasn’t the one to judge, she was hardly a sunshine herself. Although she would never admit it, she remembered every one of them by heart and memory. It was something she had since she was a little klutz unable to do anything else than stumble on tiny paws and make little yelps. It was a great ability when it came to socializing and networking but it was the worst for when you actually tried to forget someone.

Once again she had stumbled upon a new area. This time it was a lagoon, one big body of water that smelled of animals all over. Obviously this was one of the favorite drinking spots, Cornelia sniffed the air for any possible pack scents that could be nearby. It wouldn’t surprise her if someone had settled in this place that bloomed with prey and water. Her suspicions were right, behind a thick layer of present and close scents she smelled a vague scent of wolves. The difference between the scent of the border and the scent of any bypassing rogue was the constructive build from old and new scents. Like it was a tree that grew a thicker skin with every year but sometimes it would break off. Fortunately for the timber woman the pack was not close enough to pose any thread. Instead she took her time to hide in the tree line, look for an easy prey. Nothing seemed to be either worth her time or weak enough for her to bring it down on her own. Cornelia shrugged, she could always fish or pick a bird out of the air. She would settle for a drink.

The brown hued woman walked towards the body of fresh water, dipping her head to lessen her thirst. And as she drank the last bit she looked into the lagoon that slowly processed the ripples, transforming itself once more to an almost perfect mirror. Dark brown eyes looked back at each other. The elegant long muzzle, slender rise to her forehead and two dark pair of eyes. Cornelia stared into the reflection of her own but saw her own mother. But their eyes were so different. From where her mother had enjoyed the love of her significant one, had been fully raised by her parents and never left her pack, she had the soft dark brown eyes. Even when she was angry there was a certain softness in the woman’s eyes that could calm one down with one look. And while her mother had an overall more rounded muzzle, her daughters had become strong and prominent. Just as the dark eyes she had inherited were hard like rock even if they held the same color, the same shape. They were two different woman. One was alive, the other long dead.

Sijinali Montalo
Sijinali was glad she was away from the mountains and all that other rugged terrain. Though she had met some wolves in her travels during that time, the land proved to be an annoying challenge. Finally, though, she was somewhere she felt almost at home. For a brief moment, the creamy coated woman pauses. Her eyes seem blank as she begins to wonder- should she feel at home? Is that bad? Her home pack was a disaster, which obviously linked negativity to the land she grew up on. This wasn't the same land, though. It seemed brighter to her; more luscious and full of life. Her deep eyes began to light up as she felt the water squelch through the moss under her paws. Her tail low and wagging, she eyes a large body of water ahead.

As she approaches, a small smile inches its way across her face. She leans forward, gazing at her own reflection. Sijinali seemed...well, tired. Not exhausted, but likely hours from it. Her neck cranes downward and she laps greedily at the water. It was incredibly refreshing after a long walk without it. After drinking, she immediately begins contemplating jumping in. Perhaps she should fish instead? Her mind began to viciously whir, overwhelming her with nostalgia of play with her siblings. Jin begins to slowly wade into the water, sighing in relief as the cool liquid surrounds her limbs. Soon the water is touching the bottom of her stomach. The slender wolf prepares to launch herself in the water until she spots another figure. Jin's body bends as she goes to turn around, but instead she watches.

Thoughts and processes begin stirring in her mind before she decides what she wants to do. It was always interesting- the first encounter with another wolf out on its own. How was one supposed to announce their presence without horribly startling the other wolf? Lifting her left paw above the water, Jin waits a moment before dropping it downward. Her paw creates a heavy ker-plunk in the water. If that didn't catch the wolf's attention, Siji wasn't sure as to what she would do next. She certainly wanted to stay in this area for awhile, though.

"I'm trouble ya'll, I got trouble in my town"

Her dreams flashed with images of beautiful red blood staining the black coat of the devil himself. He, who corrupted her Queen, bled like any ordinary wolf. She saw herself snap and rip apart. Then, a high mountain. A nervous young autumn colored wolf stared at the mighty sight of the huge rock. Seeking comfort from her mother as the family travelled towards the giant. The earth under her paws were shaking, trembling. Everything was wrong, everything felt off. Whines and growls sounded in her head as she looked up. Rocks small like pebbles and bigger than the head of a bear tumbled down on her family. Smashing bodies to crunched bones and flesh, others were doomed to join the rocks to tumble down into nothingness. Water roared its ugly head and Cornelia found herself on the waterside. Wasn’t this where she had met the black giant @Gent. The dream wolf apparently became a god as the wolf walked on water to her side. Just like she had done at that time, Cornelia stood silently as she watched him approach. Yet the black wolf launched at her, unlike he had done in reality, he grabbed her neck and pulled her down into the river. And they went down with a splash.

Her body shocked as it woke up, going into a sitting positions while her eyes had yet to go open. When they did she took a few seconds to figure out she saw a blue lagoon and not the blurry water she expected. Instead she saw another wolf standing inside the water. Her eyes darkened slightly as her guard went up the moment she locked eyes with the stranger. Surprises were one of the few things Cornelia hated with passion. Although she wasn’t bitter about the end of a terrible dream, she didn’t trust any wolf near her when she was vulnerable. But now she was awake and anything but vulnerable. A snappy Cornelia was a dangerous one, if you managed to piss her off even more. Staying in her sitting position she looked at the stranger, who knows they might be able to pass without any interaction. Leave each other to their own business, but so far it had never happened ever since she had put paws in this realm. So instead the autumn colored woman give the other wolf a stiff nod of acknowledgement. Expecting nothing back. ”Speech”

Sijinali Montalo
Sijinali watches the female intently. The woman sits up, appearing groggy as her eyes remain shut. Once they open, though, they immediately rest upon Siji's figure. Sijinali stands still, her stance calm and collected. She could sense that she disturbed the female quite a bit- perhaps she was dreaming? At the nod of acknowledgement from the wolf, Sijinali bows her head in return. Her jaws part as she brings her head up again, her eyes locked onto the female. "Apologies for awakening you." Sijinali releases a heavy breath through her nostrils before sucking in the cool lagoon's air. Her glance falls back to the water, but she's looking at Cornelia again within a few seconds. "This is certainly a nice place to rest."

Sijinali wasn't offering her name right away. She rarely ever did; she was always skeptical of others. Though she tried to go into a conversation believing a wolf was good, she'd have to talk to the other for a bit before deciding. Glancing to her side, Sijinali now begins to slip into the water, her ears perked and listening for the other female's voice. As she dipped into the water, an odor caught her attention. It smelled of a fresh kill- extremely tempting. Narrowing her teal eyes, she ignores it, only desiring fish at the moment. Temptation to ask the other wolf if she wanted a fish stirred within her. Don't. Just wait. After all, the wolf could be quite grumpy after Siji interrupted her rest.

She stands in the water, quiet as the liquid around her settles into stagnation once more. Her eyes flicker across the surface, watching for any activity. Small insects dance upon the surface; they would attract some sort of fish to the surface eventually. Anxious eyes awaited and ears remained perked. She was focused but still listening.
