AW! Aiming to get some medic skill here || Late morning, Mostly cloudy, 20°F (-7°C)
Medic Demonstration 1/3

He was already setting off to work the day after he arrived. The large male was nosing about the northern borders, attempting to find any useful plants worth picking. While André didn't have a proper healer den of his own yet, he was sure he could offer some food for storage space in @Lachesis's medic den in return. Hopefully it wouldn't take him long to get settled in and have his own place. The land was cold though which would make digging something out a bit harder. Perhaps something more permanent would have to wait.

Green eyes examined the tall trees around him. André figured if he couldn't find anything worthwhile on the ground that the trees had plenty of bark for him to try and pull off.

Lavender Stark

Her father had mentioned that he’d accepted a new medic into the ranks and Lavender was keen on meeting him. She found the world of medicinal plants interesting but wasn’t sure if it was something she wanted to pursue when she was older. She still had loads of time to think about how she wanted to provide for the pack when she was older.

With clumsy paws the girl trailed after the newest scent in Hearthwood, her pale shape streaking through the mess of trees that enveloped her home. This time she wasn’t aiming on being quiet. She liked to think of herself as the welcoming committee, as she had already approached Reid not long after he’d joined. And Anastasia. So this new wolf, whatever his name was, was no different.

Hiya! She chirped as she bounded through the trees, her chartreuse gaze settling on the large, tawny male. Her brows narrowed into a squint, her head tipping to the side: Wha’cha doin?

medic demonstration 2/3
As he was examining the area a youthful voice chirped out towards him. It was far too youthful to belong to Inna so he turned his head to catch sight of a young pale girl. She looked like a mini-Lachesis and so a smile tugged on his face. "Hello to you too," He hummed back kindly. "I'm looking for some plants. Specifically, ones that could be useful to a healer." André explained with ease before his green gaze moved away from her to look back at the land around.

He let out a gentle soft sigh. "Say..." His voice trailed off as a lazy smile settled on his face. "You wouldn't happen to know any places where snow might not reach, would you?" Surely as a child, she would know all the places of Hearthwood and one lacking snow might be helpful. He surely had made use of his childhood with hiding places and exploration.

Ah, yes, of course. He was looking for plants, something her father often did. Occasionally the girl would accompany him and help carry the plants back to his well-stocked infirmary. She liked being helpful—which was why she was the perfect wolf to stumble upon the new Hearthwood healer! Just as she was about to answer the male spoke once more, asking her about any snow free areas in the Kingswood. Hmmm… Her lips folded into a thoughtful frown, brows pinched tight as she struggled to search through her internal map. There's a few spots, she commented with a determined nod, her mouth falling into a wide small as she spoke, but they’re deeper in the forest. Where the trees are closer together. She peered at him with a single raised brow, her ears cupped forward: Y’lookin’ for anythin' in particular? I help my Da sometimes. She knew the basics of the plants residing in the Kingswood, only because her father was very persistent on her being knowledgable on the medicinal plants that grew in their home. Just in case he (or this new healer) were busy.

"Nothing specific. Perhaps any leftover lavender or pineapple weed." He doubted there would be any leftover this far into the year but there was no harm in checking. "If I can't find any of that perhaps I can find some loose bark to pull from the trees." Certainly there'd be one fallen tree or one with a more tender base. He looked back down at the pale girl. She said she had helped her father before which cemented the idea she was Lachesis' daughter.

He hummed softly before speaking again. "What all has your father taught you about?" A brow raised with genuine curiosity. André enjoyed talking with medics both little experience and years of experience. If the pale girl was interested in the world of herbs he had no problem with the young River wolf tagging along.

Lavender or pineapple weed. Well, she started, flashing the older male a cheeky grin, I’m Lavender, so that’s half of what you’re looking for. Her chiffon banner wagged slowly behind her as he introduced herself to the new Hearthwood healer. There might be some in the Ethos, if y’wanna look there? The girl asked with a tilt of her head, her maw motioning to somewhere in the north where the dead wolves were. She had seen her father pull some weeds in the summer, but she had not seen much of the plant since the days grew shorter.

She kicked at the snow absently as the older healer spoke, her chartreuse gaze averting away from his emeralds. Mostly about the stuff you mentioned, she responded as she shuffled about the snow in an attempt at exposing the plants residing beneath the thin layer. He wanted me to be prepared in case anythin’ happened. She shrugged, her nose turning back to the older wolf. Wha’s the weed look like? She wanted to help the newest member of Hearthwood, especially if it meant exploring the Kingswood without succumbing to the watchful gaze of her parents…
