A tired sigh escaped from the dove's lips as she traveled the border of the Surge, an uncertain air of unmistakable complacency settling through. She was oblivious to any and all turmoil the Surge faced that hadn't been detrimental to the health and survival of her pack. In the very least, she recognized that the children within were safe and well cared for. However, she hadn't been been called for any advice so she could only assume that things were alright. Despite her desire to have children come the spring, Anastasia recognized that she had yet to really make any connection to make that come true. There were no men chasing her tail nor any clear signs that someone fancied her in that way, yet she continued to hold onto hope that a miracle would come face to face. At least she felt at home here. Content, if not bored, with the ritual of keeping to her pack. She hadn't left and that was still a great progress. The borders were quiet which was good but vastly droning.

The russet lady was taking a little stroll around the pack's territory, enjoying the peacefulness of the evening. All was quiet, and there was something quite soothing about "quiet". She felt a sense of tranquilness in her heart, all her worries lifted from her. While it certainly bothered her that she was still the "Lowest' in Surge, Helen had somehow managed to push the thought away this time. She could think about it some other time. For now, all she wanted was peace.
Along the borders, she spotted another figure. Helen heard her sigh escaping from her maw, and into the night air. Helen tensed her muscles up a little, just in case the other she-wolf was a threat. However, she soon came to realise the figure was just another surge wolf. By now, the newbie had learnt to recognise the scent of her own pack members. Newbie. Thoughts of being the lowest rank in Surge filled her mind once again, along with mixed feelings of envy, anger and sadness. No, I can't think about that now. Helen shook her muzzle.
Approaching the superior, Helen gave a little bow, before asking softly: "Taking a little walk too?"
