Hecate Liar
For @Greer <3

Nimble paws wove through the dry, dead vines sticking out from the packed snow and ice. The pale woman wondered what plants grew here in their peak season. Perhaps a fruit or vegetable? With closer inspection, each of the withered leaves had coarse little hairs on them. The sweet n' sour smell of fermentation made its way through the snow, Hecate's nose crinkled and reminisced back to meeting Gent in the squashed cherries. Reminding her of the task that needed to be completed ahead. It wasn't so much that she needed a home or resources, but she needed a base to work off of. She didn't have many folks in the Lore that would still be apt to help her. Which, was her own fault given her abrasive personality and tendency of abandonment.

Her nose lifted from the ground after getting a few strong whiffs of rotting vegetables, looking out over the white and slightly brown surface. There were a few trees sprinkled in the opening but other than that it was barren. She was(seemingly) alone in the field. The wind blew, tussling and combing through her fur. She seemed to have forgotten the beauty of the wild, increasingly out of touch with her surroundings. Everything was business and relationships, lashing out and then worrying sick about the consequences. She had forgot how to just, be.

Greer Archer-Lyall
greer would be smelling pretty heavily of kyna, esp since this thread is set after this thread
;)

Being this far south, after spending so much time in the expanse, was causing the shadow to feel quite nostalgic. He had hoped, alter growing comfortable in the lowlands, that his move north would be permanent. Morganna’s unexpected dismissal—which was more of an encouraging go get the girl  as opposed to a you’ve been kicked out—had come at the perfect time. Prior to their conversation Greer had been trying to figure out the best way to tell his sister that he wanted to head south. To be with her. The Archer hoped that he would be able to convince Kyna to return to the monadnock in the future, but he did not know if the strawberry blond would be able to leave the mountains. And Greer? He couldn’t leave her.

Being the mountains meant he was able to explore more than what was available to him while growing up among the willows. Greer had gone further east, venturing into the fen he had avoided as a child. However, as soon as an unfamiliar scent caressed his nostrils, the Archer immediately regretted his decision on leaving the mountain.

The scent belonged to a wolf that Greer was certain he would never see again, especially after her removal from the willows. Instantly his hackles rose, his upper lip curling into a smile as the ghostly white female came into view. It was too late to run, for he was certain she was aware of his presence. How fitting, he thought sourly to himself as he noted the rotting vegetables surrounding her. He remained at the edge of the field, his ears pinned aggressively pinned forward as his brows narrowed. Why had she returned?

Hecate Liar

Oh, and how the day just kept getting better and better. She didn't recognize the figure at first, thinking it was just a passerby. But she looked again... Skoll? No, he didn't hold himself like that... like a gentleman. Leaving only Greer. Hecate wasn't sure if she was feeling her heart leap or drop. Panicking, her eyes flitted the wooden walls of the clearing, suddenly feeling very trapped. She wasn't expecting to see someone she really knew so far from the Ridge. Wraith had been a mere glimpse into her past while Greer was forcing her to face it head on. She finally mustered the courage to close some space between them, half expecting him to bolt. Staying at least ten feet away, she stopped. "Greer." She hummed, taking in the strong whiff of another woman. This struck Hecate at an odd place, the Archer was her first. Before Skoll, before anyone else, she had sought out the younger brother for a sense of comfort. She chuffed a soft laugh. She couldn't imagine he was any amount pleased with her. I mean, she did fuck his brother(quite well actually*). She never meant to hurt him, Greer had always been level headed and a wonderful partner to talk with. Although she was prickly about his blatant distaste for her, some part of Hecate felt as if she had chosen wrong.

Perhaps if the ghost before him had not sought out an older Archer it would have been her scent on his fur, not Kyna’s. But now the ethereal creature was nothing but a blemish on his past; a forgotten memory. Once he realized that her thirst for power had driven her to hop Archer’s, he had dismissed her completely. Allowing the floozy to get close to him had been a mistake and, truthfully, he had been grateful for her disappearance.

Seeing her here, now, had taken Greer by surprise. He had always hoped something dreadful had happened to her—death or maybe the loss of the limb—so seeing her here, completely intact, caused his frown to deepen. As soon as his name dropped from her tongue a growl exploded from inside his chest. The lanky Archer took a step forward, his teeth flashing white against his obsidian fur. He remained silent, for he did not want to waste his breath on her. There was plenty he would have liked to say to her, but it was not worth his time. She could say whatever she pleased, but he did not care. The damage had been done and Greer was not the forgiving type. Which was precisely why he did not allow her name to enter his mind. He had done so well in removing her from his thoughts—the shadow would not allow her reappearance to bring repressed memories to the surface.

The memories he shared with the strawberry blond were far more pleasant. She had never forgotten him; never replaced him. And now they had a future together, something to look forward to. The ghost before him had been nothing but a dream. A nightmare, maybe.

Hecate Liar
Not a MILLION fights
                               could make me HATE YOU.

Ooh, kitty didn't like that. Hecate's eyes narrowed sharply, rolling her head back in a burst of agitated and brazen defiance. "Oh come on now, put it away @Greer." She breathed softly, trying to reach him through a different tactic. She wanted to get rid of this little tension he'd grown so comfortable in. This wasn't the skin he was born in, it didn't fit him well. She wasn't gonna try to pull any tricks with him now, she only wanted to talk things out. Although she was begging to know who's scent was seeped in his jet black fur, she knew it would immediately set him off. She was walking on eggshells, but that didn't stop her.
"How've yer been? Livin' with Morganna eh?" She inquired, trying to get his attention on something else. Come on Greer, talk to me. She pleaded in her mind. Just one word. She wanted to explain her side of the story, she wanted him to know everything. It was only up to him if he decided to listen. But God, she wanted him to let her. There wasn't anything she wouldn't do to fix things. She might have still chosen Skoll, but at least they'd be on better terms. Or at least speaking still.

sorry for wait >.> @Hecate

Despite the girl’s request his curled lips did not subside; instead, his snarl deepened, ears pinned forward aggressively. He harboured no feelings for the pale witch—not even empathy for her disheveled appearance. Truthfully, he had hoped that his brother’s trash had succumbed to death, so he was sorely disappointed to discover that she was still breathing.

He snorted in annoyance as she stained the air between them with more of her words. It was pitifully amusing that the ghost before him was attempting to engage in conversation; to try and pry details out of him. The shadow shrugged, dismissing her words. “Why?” The word dripped maliciously off his tongue before he could stop it, his mercury gaze hardening as they studied the pale female. Why did she care how he was, or who he was living with? She had left him, and for what? A bigger, older, better version of him? He almost chuckled at the thought, but his expression remained hard, his gaze not once wavering from her solid frame.

Truthfully the Archer was grateful that she had chosen his older brother over him. The wolf standing in front of him had not only abandoned Sköll, but she had also left their child behind. If it had not been his brother, it surely would have been Greer, for the ghost did not appear to have a loyal bone in her body. His relationship with the strawberry blond also would not have grown, and Kyna might be wearing someone else’s scent on her pelt. The thought alone made his stomach clench. No, he did not hold any animosity toward the pale she-wolf for chasing another Archer.

He just did not like her or trust her.
