It was there, weighing down on his chest more than just the touching of their flanks, a tight, suffocating feeling as if the tree were constricting around him. He almost missed her words about her mother and brother having been here, already anticipating that this could turn into a whole lot more work than he was prepared to undertake. He'd rather face the storm than be cooped up in this tiny hole... "Right." He responded with a tight smile, hoping it would be enough to lull the girl to sleep. His single eye was focused on the entrance of the den, ready to take his leave, storm or not, the second her breathing indicated that she had indeed, fallen asleep. And there it was. He took his leave without a word, knowing his chances of encountering the girl again were slim at best. It wasn't going to be any fun decending the mountain in the rain, but at least out here he could breathe.
