Chan didn't seem too worried, but Nash wondered if he should follow the girl just to check in on her group. But he didn't want to risk getting separated from his brother, especially with a fire near enough to drop ash. Instead of doing anything, Nash chose to be silent and let his older brother deal with it.

Nash Eastfall
Nash looked back and forth between the strange woman and his brother. Others were near; this girl seemed nice enough but we're her friends? She had been headed in the direction of the lake. Would the others be coming this way? How many of them were there? Could his mother be among them? Or did they lose a threat to the still-forming Cove?

She shook her head in response to the tawny and black male's question. Her group was not officially a pack, they were just sticking together for safety until winter eased up. "No, we're just grouping up for safety." She would have offered the two boys to go with her back to the Valle boys, but they seemed to want to stay by the mountain, and she was unsure of how Vayko would react considering how hostile he had been to her when they first met.
"I'm Clover, by the way," she said with a small smile, figuring that they could spend at least a couple words to introduce themselves now that it was clear no one was in immediate danger. However, she did not have much time for chit chat as she now wanted to get back to the others and make sure they were also safe. Her gaze shifted to look back at the sky for a few moments, lips pulled back in slight worry, and if neither of the boys had any more insight to offer she would turn and go back to the others.

Her answer was no, but it sounded like a pack to him, even if it only lasted for a few months. Good, he thought, relieved that it seemed to be true; life really was returning to the Lore.
"Chan," he returned with a smile. "Stay safe out there Clover. We'll be around, if you or your friends need anything."
If the group was too small to survive on their own, or ran into any other issues, he for one would have no qualms about aiding in whatever way he, as one wolf, could.

Nash Eastfall
Nash was distracted, wondering about the fire and eager to get back up the mountain and to the safety of the lake. He'd be dead before he let himself be driven from his home again. He was looking back up the slope and apparently had stopped paying attention because he suddenly heard Chan telling the girl - had she said what her name was? Crap, he didn't catch it - that they would be here if she or her friends needed anything. He twitched his ears and tried to look like he'd been paying attention. He nodded to the girl and turned to make his way back up the mountain, pausing only long enough to make sure Chan was not long behind him.

The tawny and black male returned a name of his own, she would would remember it just in case they crossed paths again, but his darker companion turned on his heel without another word, but at least gave her a nod. She would have to learn his name at a later time, it seemed, but one name was enough for now, she supposed. "And the same to you," she said to Chan, though Vayko might not be nearly as friendly as her.
The darker male had already begun to walk away, and so she turned around after giving a smile to Chan, paws making quick work of the snowy ground between her and the clearing her group were staying at. She wanted to make sure they were all okay, before then hiding away until the ash stopped falling and the fire died out. Hopefully no one got in the way of it before that happened.
