Sequoia
all welcome. Violent thunderstorms overtake Relic Lore.

He moved with a quiet precision, his long legs carrying him quickly through the forest as thunder clapped overhead. The storm did not bother him—he actually enjoyed them. They reminded him of storm watching along the coast, seeing the clouds rolling in from a distance and bright flashes of lightning filling the sky. Sequoia was hoping to find a vantage point to watch the storm from, as the canopy overhead made it impossible for him to view it. The rain had not started yet, but he could feel the moisture in the air threatening to spill from above. Maybe he would beat the rain… he just had to move quicker.

However, sea of trees was endless, and it appeared that no matter how quickly he moved they continued to engulf him… multiplying. Maybe it was the thrill of the storm, or maybe the growing number of trees, but Sequoia began to worry that he may never get out of these woods.

He gave his head a quick shake to dismiss the thought.

He was being ridiculous.

There was a way out, there had to be… just… a little bit… further…

Arla!

He could sense there were others nearby, even if he could not see them. Tall trees, towering over him as though twenty feet tall with branches extending long and hard for a hug, surrounded him all sides. He walked slowly through the forest, his eyes absorbing the scenery around him in awe. It was with a strong gust of wind that alerted him to the approach of a storm before finally a light show danced above him and in tow was the sound of clanging pots and pans; he shuddered. The threat of downpour soaking his pelt made him move quicker. <
A blur of a figure caught his attention and he followed it without a second thought, his nose temporarily numb to the smells around him. He approached Sequoia cautiously, his tail neutral and hairs stiff as the orchestra of sound played overhead louder with threat of rain any moment--"are you aware of where to find refuge?" he asked the male with a tilt of his head.  His voice was neither placate nor hostile; it remained neutral in tone. It would seem this male was more aware of his surroundings than he, and he was willing to follow him to safety.
