As he made his way around the lake and the forest that surrounded it his mind was full of thoughts. Some pleasant and others not so much. All of them pushed him on ward toward where the borders had once announced that a pack lived among those trees.
The closer he came memories of days gone by entered his mind. He remembered a lot and though not all of them were happy he was glad that his age hadn't taken those from him. He stopped when he stood at the edge of the territory, even without the scent markers the dark man knew. He resisted the urge to call out for his packmates as he'd done in the past. He stood there looking into the trees for any signs of life.
